We investigate vortex configuration confined in antiferromagnetic thin disks. By virtue of sublattice mismatch at the disk borders, we propose a model that takes such a magnetostatic-like cost into account. The model predicts that onion-like configuration interpolates between curly and divergent vortex. Concerning its dynamics, it is shown that the vortex acquires oscillatory dynamics with well-defined amplitude and frequency that may be controlled on demand by an alternating spin-polarized current. These findings may be useful for the emerging field of antiferromagnetic topological spintronics, once vortex dynamics may be controlled by purely electronic means. 相似文献

The spin chain systems with one-dimensional magnetic ordering are promising candidates for quantum optical devices. This paper shows how the optical excitation can induce various phonon modes in an ideal Cu-O chain at various lengths. The calculation was carried out at different level theories including configuration interaction singles for excited states, density functional theory and second-order Möller-Plesset perturbation. In general, the number of modes increases with chain length due to growing asymmetry of atomic positions when chain exceeds 5 nm. There were, however, only two basic modes: one is associated with the symmetric oscillation of oxygen and another with the asymmetric motion of the same along the chain. At the length below 4.3 nm, the Raman activity of the symmetric mode (440 cm−1) dominates. From analysis of density of states, this mode may be associated with the excitation across the lowest LUMO bands with changing in spin state. 相似文献

A correlation receiver capable of receiving pulsed microwave signals having amplitudes substantially below the noise level is proposed and experimentally realized. The device is based on the parametric interaction of two contra-propagating spin waves excited by the received microwave signal and the reference pulsed signal, containing information about the received signal shape, in a ferrite film waveguide. We investigate the ground-state magnetic long-range order of
quasi-one-dimensional quantum Heisenberg antiferromagnets for spin
quantum numbers s = 1/2 and s = 1. We use the coupled
cluster method to calculate the sublattice magnetization and
its dependence on the inter-chain coupling J⊥.
We find that for the unfrustrated spin-1/2 system,
an infinitesimal inter-chain coupling is sufficient to stabilize
magnetic long-range order, in agreement with results obtained
by other methods.
For s = 1, we find that a finite inter-chain coupling
is necessary to stabilize magnetic long-range order.
Furthermore, we consider a quasi one-dimensional spin-1/2 system,
where a frustrating next-nearest neighbor in-chain coupling is included.
We find that for stronger frustration as well, a finite inter-chain coupling
is necessary to have magnetic long-range order in the ground state, and that the strength of the inter-chain coupling necessary
to establish magnetic long-range order is related to the size of the spin gap of the isolated chain. 相似文献

We have theoretically investigated the energy band structures of two typical magnetic superlattices formed by perpendicular or parallel magnetization ferromagnetic stripes periodically deposited on a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG), where the magnetic profile in the perpendicular magnetization is of inversion anti-symmetry, but of inversion symmetry in parallel magnetization, respectively. We have shown that the energy bands of perpendicular magnetization display the spin-splitting and transverse wave-vector symmetry, while the energy bands of the parallel magnetization exhibit spin degeneration and transverse wave-vector asymmetry. These distinguishing spin-dependent and transverse wave-vector asymmetry features are essential for future spintronics devices applications. 相似文献

We study the deviations from perfect memory in negative temperature cycle spin glass experiments. It is known that the a.c.
susceptibility after the temperature is raised back to its initial value is superimposed to the reference isothermal curve
for large enough temperature jumps ΔT (perfect memory). For smaller ΔT, the deviation from this perfect memory has a striking non monotonous behavior: the `memory anomaly' is negative for small ΔT's, becomes positive for intermediate ΔT's, before vanishing for still larger ΔT's. We show that this interesting behavior can be reproduced by simple Random Energy trap models. We discuss an alternative
interpretation in terms of droplets and temperature chaos.
