Increased traffic safety levels are of highest importance, especially when driving on icy roads. Experimental investigations for a detailed understanding of pneumatic tire performance on ice are expensive and time consuming. The changing ambient and ice conditions make it challenging to maintain repeatable test conditions during a test program. This paper presents a tire–ice contact model (TIM) to simulate the friction levels between the tire and the ice surface. The main goal of this model is to predict the tire–ice friction based on the temperature rise in the contact patch. The temperature rise prediction in the contact patch is based on the pressure distribution in the contact patch and on the thermal properties of the tread compound and of the ice surface. The contact patch is next classified into wet and dry regions based on the ice surface temperature and temperature rise simulations. The principle of thermal balance is then applied to compute the friction level in the contact patch. The tire–ice contact model is validated by comparing friction levels from simulations and experimental findings. Friction levels at different conditions of load, inflation pressure, and ice temperatures have been simulated using the tire–ice contact model and compared to experimental findings.  相似文献

船舶与海洋平台结构的冰载荷是寒区海洋工程结构物设计中的关键参数,而离散元方法是有效计算结构冰载荷的重要手段. 本文采用基于闵可夫斯基和原理的扩展多面体离散元方法模拟船舶与海洋平台结构的相互作用过程. 其中,构造扩展多面体的近似包络函数并建立了基于优化模型的快速接触搜索算法;考虑单元间粘结作用的刚度软化过程建标识码元间的粘结-破碎模型. 同时,发展了 CPU-GPU 协同异构环境下的高性能并行算法. 为分析海冰与海洋结构作用中的冰载荷,采用ISO标准验证了扩展多面体离散元分析结构冰载荷的准确性. 采用离散元方法计算了船舶结构的冰载荷,研究了船舶结构表明的线载荷分布特点,并采用船舶结构冰阻力经验公式验证了计算结果的合理性. 采用离散元方法计算了平整冰区与多桩腿平台结构的相互作用,分析各桩腿上的冰载荷特点. 针对碎冰区的海冰管理过程,采用离散元方法分析了船舶结构绕行过程中的船舶和海洋平台结构冰载荷. 本文方法可有效应用于海洋结构冰载荷分析,能为极地船舶与海洋平台结构的设计和安全运行提供科学的分析手段.   相似文献

The behavior of water in close proximity to other materials under ambient conditions is of great significance due to its importance in a broad range of daily applications and scientific research. The structure and dynamics of water at an interface or in a nanopore are often significantly different from those of its bulk counterpart. Until recently, experimental access to these interfacial water structures was difficult to realize. The advent of two-dimensional materials, especially graphene, and the availability of various scanning probe microscopies were instrumental to visualize, characterize and provide fundamental knowledge of confined water. This review article summarizes the recent experimental and theoretical progress in a better understanding of water confined between layered Van der Waals materials. These results reveal that the structure and stability of the hydrogen bonded networks are determined by the elegant balance between water-surface and water-water interactions. The water-surface interactions often lead to structures that differ significantly from the conventional bilayer model of natural ice. Here, we review the current knowledge of water adsorption in different environments and intercalation within various confinements. In addition, we extend this review to cover the influence of interfacial water on the two-dimensional material cover and summarize the use of these systems in potential novel applications. Finally, we discuss emerged issues and identify some flaws in the present understanding.  相似文献

根据2007年4月南黄海区块(SYS)表层海水中二氧化碳分压(pCO2)的连续走航数据,结合水温(T)、盐度(S)、叶绿素 (Chla)以及pH的同步观测资料,对该海域pCO2分布特征及其主要影响因素进行了初步探讨。分析结果表明:春季南黄海pCO2的范围在365.2~734.9 μatm之间,平均值为548.0 μatm;最高值出现在121.5°E,33.4°N海域,最低值出现在123°E,32.3°N海域。受海水中物理、化学和生物因素的综合影响,pCO2的分布存在较大的不均匀性,总体上表现为西部高于东部,中间高于南北两边;在苏北浅滩和鲁南海区,pCO2与水温的变化呈正相关关系,与盐度的大小呈明显的负相关关系,而在长江入海口变化趋势则相反;此外,在整个调查海区pCO2与叶绿素、pH基本上呈负相关关系。研究将两台检测器串联进行互校,同时利用二氧化碳标准气体对其中一台仪器进行全程校准,可连续不间断观测海水和大气中的pCO2。该方法操作简单,获得的数据准确可靠,可为节能减排能力建设提供技术支持。  相似文献

Molecular dynamics simulation is employed to study the structural evolution of low density amorphous ice during its compression from one atmosphere to 2.5 GPa. Calculated results show that high density amorphous ice is formed at an intermediate pressure of -1.0 GPa; the O-O-O bond angle ranges from 83° to 113°, and the O-H… O bond is bent from 112° to 160°. Very high density amorphous ice is obtained by quenching to 80 K and decompressing the ice to ambient pressure from 160 K/1.3 GPa or 160 K/1.7 GPa; and the next-nearest O-O length is found to be 0.310 nm, just 0.035 nm beyond the nearest O-O distance of 0.275 nm.  相似文献

水体后向散射系数bb是重要的海洋光学参数,在以悬浮物为主要组分的浑浊二类水体中,其对于水体光学性质起着决定性的作用,该参数的遥感反演对于海洋光学与水色遥感研究具有重要意义.利用2005年渤海近岸水体实测数据集,建立了基于水体遥感反射率光谱数据的后向散射系数bb(λ)经验反演模型(λ=442 nm,488 nm,532 nm,589 nm,676 nm),经实测数据检验,bb(442)和bb(589)反演平均相对误差约为30%;bb(488)和bb(676)反演半均相对误差优于40%;bb(532)反演半均相埘误差约为57%.通过分析模型对于输入误差的敏感性发现,当输入端引入±5%的误差时,模型反演值的误差波动在绝大多数情形下可控制在±10%以内,模型足稳定可靠的.模型适用于渤海近岸浑浊水体,可用丁水体光学参数的时空分布特征分析以及基丁固有光学参数的水色组分遥感反演.  相似文献

Most of the techniques developed for infrared (IR) image enhancement (IE) depend heavily on the scene, environmental conditions, and the properties of the imaging system. So, with a set of predefined scenario properties, a content-based IR-IE technique can be developed for better situational awareness. This study proposes an adaptive IR-IE technique based on clustering of wavelet coefficients of an image for sea surveillance systems. Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) of an image is computed and feature vectors are constructed from subband images. Clustering operation is applied to group similar feature vectors that belong to different scene components such as target or background. Depending on the feature vectors, a weight is assigned to each cluster and these weights are used to compute gain matrices which are used to multiply wavelet coefficients for the enhancement of the original image. Enhancement results are presented and a comparison of the performance of the proposed algorithm is given through subjective tests with other well known frequency and histogram based enhancement techniques. The proposed algorithm outperforms previous ones in the truthfulness, detail visibility of the target, artificiality, and total quality criteria, while providing an acceptable computational load.  相似文献
