Abstract

The effects of earthworm activity on the concentration and isotopic composition of total sulfur in soils was investigated using batch experiments. Two ecologically different lumbricid species, the anecic Lumbricus terrestris and the endogeic Aporrectodea caliginosa, were used. The earthworms were fed birch leaves, beech leaves, cattle manure or mixed plant litter. All food sources differed isotopically (δ34S) from the soil (Parabraunerde). As a reference, one experiment was carried out without additional food.

The experimental results show, that both earthworm species influence the total S-content and the δ34S-values in the soil by digestion of the different food sources. The differences in the total S-content of the earthworm tissues and in the S-isotopic composition of the casts can be attributed to the ecological differences between the earthworm species.  相似文献

Silicoaluminophosphates (SAPOs) with different pore structures were synthesized through the implementation of polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a mesopores impregnation agent. Using PEGs with different molecular weights (MWs) and concentrations in the synthesis precursor, several samples were synthesized and characterized. Applying a PEG capping agent to the precursors led to the formation of tuned mesopores within the microporous matrix of the SAPO. The effects of the PEG molecular weight and PEG/Al molar ratio were investigated to maximize the efficiency of the catalyst in the methanol-to-olefin (MTO) process. Using PEG with a MW of 6000 resulted in the formation of both Zeolite Rho and chabazite structural frameworks (i.e., DNL-6 and SAPO-34). Pure SAPO-34 samples were successfully prepared using PEG with a MW of 4000. Our results showed that the PEG concentrations affect the porosity and acidity of the synthesized materials. Furthermore, the SAPO-34 sample synthesized with PEG (MW of 4000) and a PEG/Al molar ratio of 0.0125 showed a superior catalytic stability in the MTO reaction owing to the tuned bi-modal porosity and tailored acidity pattern. Finally, through reactivation experiments, it was found that the catalyst is stable even after several regeneration cycles.  相似文献

We formulate a definition of isometric action of a compact quantum group (CQG) on a compact metric space, generalizing Banica's definition for finite metric spaces. For metric spaces (X,d)(X,d) which can be isometrically embedded in some Euclidean space, we prove the existence of a universal object in the category of the compact quantum groups acting isometrically on (X,d)(X,d). In this paper, applying both Lyapunov function techniques and monotone iterative techniques, we establish new sufficient conditions under which the infected equilibrium of an HIV pathogenesis model with cure rate is globally asymptotically stable. By giving an explicit expression for eventual lower bound of the concentration of susceptible CD4+ T cells, we establish an affirmative partial answer to the numerical simulations investigated in the recent paper [Liu, Wang, Hu and Ma, Global stability of an HIV pathogenesis model with cure rate, Nonlinear Analysis RWA (2011) 12 : 2947–2961]. Our monotone iterative techniques are applicable for the small and large growth rate in logistic functions for the proliferation rate of healthy and infected CD4+ T cells. We investigate the existence and multiplicity of homoclinic orbits for the second‐order damped differential equations For Equation 1 where L(t) and W(t,u) are neither autonomous nor periodic in t. Under certain assumptions on g, L, and W, we get infinitely many homoclinic orbits for superquadratic, subquadratic and concave–convex nonlinearities cases by using fountain theorem and dual fountain theorem in critical point theory. Previously, existence and uniqueness of a class of monotone similarity solutions for a nonlinear differential equation arising in magnetohydrodynamic Falkner–Skan flow were considered in the case of accelerating flows. It was shown that a solution satisfying certain monotonicity properties exists and is unique for the case of accelerated flows and some decelerated flows. In this paper, we show that solutions to the problem can exist for decelerated flows even when the monotonicity conditions do not hold. In particular, these types of solutions have nonmonotone second derivatives and are, hence, a distinct type of solution from those studied previously. By virtue of this result, the present paper demonstrates the existence of an important type of solution for decelerated flows. Importantly, we show that multiple solutions can exist for the case of strongly decelerated flows, and this occurs because of the fact that the solutions do not satisfy the aforementioned monotonicity requirements. This paper offers conditions ensuring the existence of solutions of linear boundary value problems for systems of dynamic equations on time scales. Utilizing a method of Moore–Penrose pseudo‐inverse matrices leads to an analytical form of a criterion for the existence of solutions in a relevant space and, moreover, to the construction of a family of linearly independent solutions of such problems in a general case with the number of boundary conditions (defined by a linear vector functional) not coinciding with the number of unknowns of a system of dynamic equations. As an example of an application of the presented results, the problem of bifurcation of solutions of boundary value problems for systems of dynamic equations on time scales with a small parameter is considered.  相似文献

Recently pattern formation in layered structures, showing complicated superimposed patterns, has been modeled by coupling two Turing systems linearly, i.e., passively, such that the characteristic length scales of the independent systems are well separated. Here we propose a model of two non-linearly coupled Turing systems to study pattern formation in layered membrane-like structures, where the coupling plays an active role and changes the kinetics of the uncoupled systems. Extensive numerical simulations show that non-linear coupling generates a number of new regular patterns different from the ones observed earlier with linearly coupled systems. Some of them turn out to be superimposed patterns with different length scales, but many are not. Also, contrary to the linear coupling case, the strength of the non-linear coupling is found to play an important role in the formation and selection of patterns.  相似文献

Scaling symmetry of -type Drinfel’d–Sokolov hierarchy is investigated. Applying similarity reduction to the hierarchy, one can obtain the Schlesinger equation with (n + 1) regular singularities. Especially in the case of n = 3, the hierarchy contains the three-wave resonant system and the similarity reduction gives the generic case of the Painlevé VI equation. 以二乙胺为结构导向剂, 在微波条件下合成了SAPO-34分子筛材料, 并分别在空气和氮气氛下1073 K焙烧. 考察了氮气氛下分子筛表面碳改性后对材料表面及水、甲醇和乙醇吸附性能的影响. 结果表明: 碳改性后SAPO-34比表面、孔容下降, 但孔径趋于均一. 与SAPO-34样品相比, 碳改性后SAPO-34吸水量从0.295 g/g降低到0.180 g/g, 甲醇/乙醇的吸附比从1.42提高到2.81.  相似文献
