This paper studies conical diffraction problems with non‐smooth grating structures. We prove the existence, uniqueness and regularity results for solutions in weighted Sobolev spaces of Kondratiev type. An a priori estimate that follows from these results is then used to prove shape differentiability of solutions. For mixed-type systems of conservation laws, rarefaction waves may contain states at the boundary of the elliptic region,
where two characteristic speeds coincide, and the Lax family of the wave changes. Such contiguous rarefaction waves form a
single fan with a continuous profile. Different pairs of families may appear in such rarefactions, giving rise to novel Riemann
solution structures. We study the structure of such rarefaction waves near regular and exceptional points of the elliptic

The elastic solution in a vicinity of a re-entrant wedge can be described by a Williams like expansion in terms of powers of the distance to a point on the edge. This expansion has a particular structure due to the invariance of the problem by translation parallel to the edge. We show here that some terms, so-called primary solutions, derive directly from solutions to the 2-D corner problem posed in the orthogonal cross section of the domain. The others, baptized shadow functions, derive of the primary solutions by integration along the axis parallel to the edge. This 3-D Williams expansion is shown to be equivalent to the edge expansion proposed by Costabel et al. [M. Costabel, M. Dauge, Z. We present exact solutions to the coupled partial differential equations describing the viscoelastic stresses and deduce the results for the stress T22 of Becherer et al. [P. Becherer, A.N. Morozov, W. van Saarloos, Scaling of singular structures in extensional flow of dilute polymer solutions, J. Non-Newtonian Fluid Mech. 153 (2008) 183–190]. As we considered the viscoelastic stresses over two spatial variables, we are able to study the effect of variable boundary data at the inflow. A stochastic dynamical system with double singularities
driven by non-Gaussian noise is investigated. The Fokker--Plank
equation of the system is obtained through the path-integral
approach and the method of transformation. Based on the definition
of Shannon's information entropy and the Schwartz inequality
principle, the upper bound for the time derivative of entropy is
calculated both in the absence and in the presence of
non-equilibrium constraint. The present calculations can be used to
interpret the effects of the system dissipative parameter, the
system singularity strength parameter, the noise correlation time
