‘G4argo', a GEANT4-based simulation package for the ARGO-YBJ detector, is described in this paper. C4argo incorporates in the simulation the true RPC time resolution and another 0.5 ns time uncertainty which is introduced from the offline calibration of TDC. In addition, the correct RPC geometry and the true materials for the ARGO-YBJ experimental hall are implemented. As a result, G4argo simulation shows a very good agreement with real data.  相似文献

A new sinusoidal shear deformation theory is developed for bending, buckling, and vibration of functionally graded plates. The theory accounts for sinusoidal distribution of transverse shear stress, and satisfies the free transverse shear stress conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the plate without using shear correction factor. Unlike the conventional sinusoidal shear deformation theory, the proposed sinusoidal shear deformation theory contains only four unknowns and has strong similarities with classical plate theory in many aspects such as equations of motion, boundary conditions, and stress resultant expressions. The material properties of plate are assumed to vary according to power law distribution of the volume fraction of the constituents. Equations of motion are derived from the Hamilton’s principle. The closed-form solutions of simply supported plates are obtained and the results are compared with those of first-order shear deformation theory and higher-order shear deformation theory. It can be concluded that the proposed theory is accurate and efficient in predicting the bending, buckling, and vibration responses of functionally graded plates.  相似文献

This paper establishes a unified a posteriori error estimator for a large class of conforming finite element methods for the Reissner-Mindlin plate problem. The analysis is based on some assumption (H) on the consistency of the reduction integration to avoid shear locking. The reliable and efficient a posteriori error estimator is robust in the sense that the reliability and efficiency constants are independent of the plate thickness . The presented analysis applies to all conforming MITC elements and all conforming finite element methods without reduced integration from the literature.

PurposeThe purpose of the current framework is to scrutinize the two-dimensional flow and heat transfer of Casson nanofluid over cylinder/plate along with impacts of thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects. Also, the effects of exponential thermal sink/source, bioconvection, and motile microorganisms are taken.Methodology/ApproachThe resulting non-linear equations (PDEs) are reformed into nonlinear ODEs by using appropriate similarity variables. The resultant non-linear (ODEs) were numerically evaluated by the use of the Bvp4c package in the mathematical solver MATLAB.FindingsThe numerical and graphical illustration regarding outcomes represents the performance of flow-involved physical parameters on velocity, temperature, concentration, and microorganism profiles. Additionally, the skin friction coefficient, local Nusselt number, local Sherwood number, and local microorganism density number are computed numerically for the current presented system. We noted that the velocity profile diminishes for the rising estimations of magnetic and mixed convection parameters. The Prandtl number corresponds with the declining performance of the temperature profile observed. The enhancement in the values of the Solutal Biot number and Brownian motion parameter increased in the concentration profile.OriginalityIn specific, this framework focuses on the rising heat transfer of Casson nanofluid with bioconvection by using a shooting mathematical model. The novel approach of the presented study is the use of motile microorganisms with exponential thermal sink/source in a Casson nano-fluid through a cylinder/plate. A presented study performed first time in the author’s opinion. Understanding the flow characteristics and behaviors of these nanofluids is crucial for the scientific community in the developing subject of nanofluids.  相似文献

Electrostatic precipitation is a process widely used as gas cleaning device, to removal particles from gas flows. However, in a conventional and well-sized precipitator, the collection efficiency decreases for ultrafine particles, making it difficult to employ this equipment for controlling nanoparticle pollution. This paper investigates the influence of plate spacing (4 and 6.5 cm) and wire spacing (4, 6, and 12 cm) on the electric current and nanoparticle collection efficiency, considering the effect of diffusion charging and electrostatic shielding. Two laboratory-scale dry wire-plate electrostatic precipitators with different plate spacings were tested for the collection of nanoparticles (6.15–241.4 nm) at three air velocities (1.9, 2.9, and 3.9 cm/s). The results demonstrated the effectiveness of the equipment in removing nanoparticles (99.9%) under the highest electric fields. Higher values of the wire spacing led to increases in the current and the collection efficiency. This was associated with reduced electrostatic shielding, which is more evident in smaller ducts with a higher density of field lines. It is expected that the findings should improve knowledge on electrostatic precipitation of nanoparticles, enabling optimization of collection efficiency by considering the effects of geometric parameters.  相似文献

Shape and physical properties of dielectric elastomers are changeable by voltage. Theoretical works show that these changes can be harnessed to tune the propagation of superposed elastic waves. We experimentally demonstrate this concept by manipulating waves in a dielectric elastomer film, focusing on the flexural mode at low frequencies. To this end, we design an experimental apparatus to pre-stretch, actuate, excite waves at low frequencies in a VHB™ 4910 film, and measure the velocity of the fundamental flexural mode. Our results show that the excited wave velocity is slowed down by the applied voltage, and provide experimental proof of concept for the application of deformable dielectrics as tunable waveguides.  相似文献

In this paper, a model of topology optimization with linear buckling constraints is established based on an independent and continuous mapping method to minimize the plate/shell structure weight. A composite exponential function (CEF) is selected as filtering functions for element weight, the element stiffness matrix and the element geomet-ric stiffness matrix, which recognize the design variables, and to implement the changing process of design variables from“discrete”to“continuous”and back to“discrete”. The buck-ling constraints are approximated as explicit formulations based on the Taylor expansion and the filtering function. The optimization model is transformed to dual programming and solved by the dual sequence quadratic programming algo-rithm. Finally, three numerical examples with power function and CEF as filter function are analyzed and discussed to demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method.  相似文献

The influence of stiffeners on plate vibration and noise radiation induced by turbulent boundary layers is investigated by wind tunnel measurements. Plates with and without stiffeners are tested under the flow speed of 60 m/s, 71 m/s and 86 m/s, respectively. The stiffeners are set either perpendicular or parallel to the direction of the free stream. Measured vibration and noise levels are compared with theoretical calculations, where wall pressure cross-spectra are described by the Corcos model. For the plates tested, it is evident that stiffeners perpendicular to the direction of the free stream could increase noise radiation, but have almost no influence on vibration level of plates.  相似文献

Quasi lateral-field-excitation (LFE) on LiNbO3 crystal is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. It is found that when the driving electric field direction is parallel to the crystallographic X-axis of the piezoelectric substrate, (yxl)-17° LiNbO3 LFE bulk acoustic wave devices work on quasi-LFE mode. The experimental results agreed with the theoretical prediction well. The results provide the cut of LiNbO3 crystal for quasi-LFE bulk acoustic wave devices, which is important for designing high performance LFE sensors on LiNbO3 substrates.  相似文献
