The structural and elastic properties of TaC in NiAs‐type structure under high pressure have been investigated using first principles calculations based on density functional theory. Results indicate that the incompressibility along the c‐axis of TaC exceeds that of diamond under higher pressure. Particularly, an interesting point singularity exists in its mechanical properties as the pressure increases from 20 GPa to 40 GPa. The minimal shear modulus, Young's modulus, Debye temperature, and maximum Poisson ratio of TaC are simultaneously obtained at 28 GPa. Samples from sheets of the polymeric material PM-355 have been exposed to X-rays from a 50 kV X-ray tube in the dose range of 10–300 kGy. The resultant effect of X-ray irradiation on the structural properties of PM-355 has been investigated using different techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Vickers hardness and refractive index measurements. The results indicate that the X-ray irradiation of PM-355 in the dose range of 10–20 kGy causes initially chain scission. Above 20 and up to 100 kGy, the active free radicals produced from scission contribute to chemical reactions that lead to the crosslinking. Thus, the X-ray irradiation in the dose range of 20–100 kGy leads to a more compact structure of the PM-355 polymer, resulting in an enhancement of its Vickers hardness and refractive index. Moreover, the irradiation in the dose range of 100–300 kGy leads to the predominance of the degradation. This degradation is reported by FTIR spectroscopy and enhances the degree of ordering in the degraded samples as revealed by XRD technique. The age-hardenable Ti–5Fe–5Zr (wt. %, 5Zr) alloy has been consolidated by pulsed electric current sintering, following a β solution treatment, and the results are compared with a Ti–5Fe (0Zr) alloy. The precipitation sequence measured at 640°C ageing is β?+?athermal ω?→?β?+?isothermal ω?→?β?+?α. At the peak hardness isothermal ω phase forms at 20?s of ageing. The Zr addition retards the precipitation kinetics of the α phase; as a result, the α phase nucleates at latest at 300?s ageing in the overaged state. Fe is partitioned into β, while it is depleted from the α phases. There is Zr enrichment near the α/β interface when the α phase precipitates due to a solute drag effect; the growth rate of the α phase in the 5Zr alloy is significantly reduced compared with that in the 0Zr alloy. 相似文献

针对太赫兹聚合物光子晶体光纤的应用需求,对聚合物光纤的制备材料、预制棒制备、拉伸工艺等关键制备工艺进行了研究.分析了聚合物材料的特性,并进行实验验证,结果表明ZEONEX材料的吸收系数低于3cm~(-1),吸水性低于0.01%,玻璃化转变温度和分解温度分别高达136℃和420℃,在太赫兹光纤制备中具有优良性能.预制棒制备和光纤拉伸的工艺方面,在注塑法的基础上改进了模具系统,使用可控的微压拉丝技术,在10200Pa范围内可实现±1.5Pa的微压差精确控制,较大程度上提高了光纤预制棒的成品率和光纤的形变控制,有望制备出高空气填充率的聚合物光子晶体光纤. 相似文献

Carbon nitride thin films were prepared by electron-beam evaporation
assisted with nitrogen ion bombardment and TiN/CNx composite films were by
unbalanced dc magnetron sputtering, respectively. It was found that the
sputtered films were better than the evaporated films in hardness and
adhesion. The experiments of atomic oxygen action, cold welding, friction
and wearing were emphasized, and the results proved that the sputtered
