We carry out a systematic study of the different contributions to the deviations of the elliptic flows from the quark number scaling in high energy heavy ion collision in a quark combination model.The effects that we considered are:the resonance decay,the flavor dependence of the quark elliptic flow and the combination of quarks/antiquarks with slightly different transverse momenta.Our results show that the deviations observed in experiments can be well reproduced within the combination framework if all the three effects are considered. We make a detailed analysis of the different contributions using a Monte-Carlo program and suggest measuring the quark number scaling in intermediate pT range more precisely. 相似文献

Using the Pirogov–Sinai theory, we study finite-size effects for the ferromagnetic q-state Potts model in a cube with boundary conditions that interpolate between free and constant boundary conditions. If the surface coupling is about half of the bulk coupling and q is sufficiently large, we show that only small perturbations of the ordered and disordered ground states are dominant contributions to the partition function in a finite but large volume. This allows a rigorous control of the finite-size effects for these weak boundary conditions. In particular, we give explicit formulæ for the rounding of the infinite-volume jumps of the internal energy and magnetization, as well as the position of the maximum of the finite-volume specific heat. While the width of the rounding window is of order L
–d
, the same as for periodic boundary conditions, the shift is much larger, of order L
–1. For strong boundary conditions—the surface coupling is either close to zero or close to the bulk coupling—the finite size effects at the transition point are shown to be dominated by either the disordered or the ordered phase, respectively. In particular, it means that sufficiently small boundary fields lead to the disordered, and not to the ordered Gibbs state. Experiments on the temperature and time dependence of the response function and the field cooled magnetisation of a Cu(Mn)
spin glass at temperatures below the zero field spin glass temperature are used to explore the non-equilibrium nature of the
underlying spin configuration. The results imply that a certain spin configuration is imprinted on the system as the temperature
is decreased at a constant cooling rate. The cooling rate governs the magnitude of the FC magnetisation ((H,T)). Any intermittent halt at a constant temperature, , imprints an extended spin configuration, a process that is reflected e.g. in a downward relaxation of . On continued cooling at the same rate, the magnitude of (T) remains at a lower level than that of a continuous cooling curve. These results are put into the context of the corresponding
behaviour of the response function as observed in measurements of the relaxation of the zero field cooled magnetisation.

Dynamics of phase separation in bisphenol-A polycarbonate (PC)/syndiotactic polymethyl methacrylate (sPMMA) blends has been investigated by means of time-resolved light scattering. Solvent-cast films of the PC/sPMMA blends were transparent, suggestive of miscible character. Several temperature jumps were carried out at a 50/50 PC/sPMMA composition from a homogeneous state (room temperature) into a two-phase regime. The process of phase separation first occurred for some considerable period, then it was followed by phase dissolution driven by chemical reaction. The thermodegradative reaction of sPMMA triggered the dissolution process by probably forming PC/sPMMA graft or random copolymers at the interface, which eventually resulted in a single phase. However, annealing at elevated temperatures for an extended period could lead to cross-linking, and thus a two-phase structure could be fixed permanently. The early stage of spinodal decomposition was interpreted in terms of the linearized Cahn-Hilliard theory. In the late stages of spinodal decomposition, the relationship between scattering peak wavenumber and time was found to obey a power law, but the exponents showed a strong dependence on temperature jumps. Flux distributions of partial-melting processed Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ ceramics are obtained using magneto-optic imaging. In remanent states (μ0Ha=0 T), large amounts of trapped flux are observed along (Sr,Ca)2CuOy particles embedded in the Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ matrix. Despite the relatively large size of these particles (up to 30 μm), the pinning effect is similar to that of Y2BaCuO5 particles in melt-processed YBa2Cu3O7−δ. Furthermore, we discuss how the pinning capability of non-superconducting particles of different sizes and densities will show up in magneto-optic images. 相似文献

We study global symmetry breaking in the 2D system of scalar nonconserved order parameter following a quench to zero temperature. We show that the instant of time when the symmetry is broken and the final morphology is chosen corresponds to the saturation of the order parameter inside the domains. There are three possible final morphologies: the positive and negative order parameter final morphology, and the state of the coexisting positive and negative order parameter subsystems with a flat interface between them. We find also that each type of the final morphology constitutes about 1/3 of all cases, what agrees with the results obtained recently by Spirin et al. [Phys. Rev. E 65, 016119 (2001)]. Our results are pertinent for the two dimensional systems, but we suspect that there is also a way to apply similar arguments for the three dimensional ones. 相似文献
