矩形截面多量子阱脊形波导模式特性

本文根据多量子阱双折射率的性质,运用有效折射率法分析了矩形截面多量子阱脊形波导E_mn^x模和模E_mn^y的模式特性。     

钽铌酸锂晶体的布里渊散射研究

研究了钽铌酸锂(LiTa_xNb_(1-x)O_3,x=0.0013,0.0052,0.015,0.06)晶体在室温的布里渊散射.给出了它们的弹性刚度常数和压电应力常数.测量了一种组份晶体的布里渊散射频移在50K～580K范围内的温度特性.发现某些声子散射谱中除三个正常峰外还存在一个异常峰.     

Short range orientational order in nematic liquid crystals

The different approximations that have been used in applying Bethe’s cluster model to the nematic-isotropic phase transition are examined. It is shown that the introduction of a higher order term in the mean field potential of an outer molecule of the cluster improves the consistency of the theory considerably. In particular, the importance of satisfying Chang’s relation is emphasized. Calculations are presented of the long and short range order parameters, heat of transition and specific heat for different values ofz, the number of nearest neighbours around any given molecule, for both nonpolar and antiparallel near neighbour correlations. Even the new mean field potential appears to be inadequate forz=3.     

High-Frequency Gravitational Waves in Electromagnetic Waveguides

The interaction between a very-high-frequency gravitational wave (VHFGW) and an electromagnetic wave (EMW) in a rectangular waveguide is discussed in the weak field limit. The background EMW is assumed to be initially in the TE₁₀ mode along the waveguide. It is then shown that a VHFGW, having the same frequency and direction of propagation of the EMW, induces through the waveguide a TE mode with a frequency doubled when compared to the original EMW frequency. In that respect, the GW acts similar to a non-linear medium, giving rise to a Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) effect.     

Curvature walls and focal conic domains in a lyotropic lamellar phase

In the quasi-ternary CPCl/brine/hexanol lyotropic system, the interface of the lamellar and L₃ sponge phases displays a phenomenon of epitaxy: the layers of the lamellar phase tend to make a constant non-trivial angle with the interface. Thin samples of lamellar phase embedded in the sponge phase are thus submitted to oblique anchoring conditions and defects are created in the lamellar phase in order to satisfy the bulk lamellar ordering and the boundary conditions. We have studied small droplets of lamellar phase in the sponge phase. They do not exhibit the classic defects (focal conic domains) but wall defects, which appear in order to satisfy the smectic elasticity and the boundary conditions. Moreover we show through experiments in controlled geometry that, even in the presence of focal conic domains, wall defects control the size and periodicity of the textures which are observed at the interface. 腔内倍频法测量KDP类晶体损耗系数

用腔内倍频方法测量无源腔内晶体吸收和散射共同作用带来的损耗,其特点是响应时间很短,约100ns,并具有很高的灵敏度（约10-4）,可望应用于高功率激光照射下非线性光学晶体无损损伤以及快速损伤的研究。将测量KDP类晶体的损耗结果与文献资料作了比较。     

Optimization of the heavy nuclei track etching in olivine crystals from meteorites

The investigation of the track etching velocity dependence for nuclei with Z50 on pH of the etching solution in the olivine crystals from Marjalahti and Eagle Station meteorites, containing galactic cosmic-ray nuclear tracks and also the crystals from Marjalahti meteorite, calibrated at the UNILAC (GSI, Darmstadt) with 14.17 MeV/N ²⁰⁸Pb nuclei, were performed.

The pH of the etching solution were changed from 7.8 to 9.4. It is shown that the optimal track etch condition were realised at pH of etching solution in the interval from 8.4 to 8.8.

The results of the Galactic cosmic-ray nuclei tracks with Z83 revealed in olivine crystals are presented. They were additionally irradiated at 90% to the surface with accelerated 14 MeV/N ¹³²Xe nuclei.     

高能电子和正电子在晶体沟道中的辐射

介绍了高能电子和正电子在晶体中的沟道辐射,对超相对论电子和正电子在周期弯曲晶体中的相干辐射进行了分析,并提出了初步的实验设想. The channeling radiation of high energy electrons and positrons in crystals was introduced. According to the new idea proposed by A.V.Korol, the coherent radiation of ultra relativistic electrons and positrons channeled in periodically bent crystals was analyzed. The characteristics of the radiation were obtained by using classic electromagnetic theory and a tentative experimental plan for testing was suggested.     

Transmission Characteristics of 90° Bent Photonic Crystal Waveguides

There are several key factors that affect the transmission characteristics of the 90° (L-shaped) bent photonic crystal waveguides. The first factor is the direct coupling efficiency from the incident lights into the waveguides. The second one is the bandgap deviations of the photonic crystals. And the third factor is the optical reflections in the bent corners. In this article, we compare three types of L-shaped bent photonic crystal waveguides. One is the original type, which has an abrupt right-angle bend. Another is an improved 90° bend with a 45°-mirror. The other is an L-shaped bent photonic crystal waveguide with a 45°-transitional section. We investigate their respective frequency responses and observe the improvements in the total transmission efficiencies provided by the latter types.     

Surface wave photonic device based on porous silicon multilayers

Porous silicon is widely studied in the field of photonics due to its interesting optical properties. In this work, we present theoretical and first experimental studies of a new kind of porous silicon photonic device based on optical surface wave. A theoretical analysis of the device is presented using plane-wave approximation. The porous silicon multilayered structures are realized using electrochemical etching of p⁺-type silicon. Morphological and optical characterizations of the realized structures are reported.
