X波段五腔渡越管振荡器的理论与实验研究

 提出了一种新结构的X波段五腔渡越管振荡器，进行了理论和实验研究。根据场分布进行了一维非线性分析，结果表明该结构可以产生高功率微波，并判断了工作模式，为TM₀₁模的3π/5模。采用粒子模拟验证了一维非线性分析的结论，并优化设计出五腔渡越管振荡器,优化结果为：输出功率约1 GW， 工作频率9.3 GHz，束波转换效率约22%。实验中，通过参数调节，得到频率约9.25 GHz，峰值功率约780 MW，脉宽（半高宽）21 ns的输出微波，束波转换效率约为16%。实验结果与模拟结果基本符合。     

Overloaded elution band profiles of ionizable compounds in reversed‐phase liquid chromatography: Influence of the competition between the neutral and the ionic species

The parameters that affect the shape of the band profiles of acido‐basic compounds under moderately overloaded conditions (sample size less than 500 nmol for a conventional column) in RPLC are discussed. Only analytes that have a single pK_a are considered. In the buffer mobile phase used for their elution, their dissociation may, under certain conditions, cause a significant pH perturbation during the passage of the band. Two consecutive injections (3.3 and 10 μL) of each one of three sample solutions (0.5, 5, and 50 mM) of ten compounds were injected on five C₁₈‐bonded packing materials, including the 5 μm Xterra‐C₁₈ (121 Å), 5 μm Gemini‐C₁₈ (110 Å), 5 μm Luna‐C₁₈(2) (93 Å), 3.5 μm Extend‐C₁₈ (80 Å), and 2.7 μm Halo‐C₁₈ (90 Å). The mobile phase was an aqueous solution of methanol buffered at a constant _W^WpH of 6, with a phosphate buffer. The total concentration of the phosphate groups was constant at 50 mM. The methanol concentration was adjusted to keep all the retention factors between 1 and 10. The compounds injected were phenol, caffeine, 3‐phenyl 1‐propanol, 2‐phenyl butyric acid, amphetamine, aniline, benzylamine, p‐toluidine, procainamidium chloride, and propranololium chloride. Depending on the relative values of the analyte pK_a and the buffer solution pH, these analytes elute as the neutral, the cationic, or the anionic species. The influence of structural parameters such as the charge, the size, and the hydrophobicity of the analytes on the shape of its overloaded band profile is discussed. Simple but general rules predict these shapes. An original adsorption model is proposed that accounts for the unusual peak shapes observed when the analyte is partially dissociated in the buffer solution during its elution.     

Extremely large binding energy of biexcitons in an organic-inorganic quantum-well material (C4H9NH3)2PbBr4

We have confirmed biexciton formation in an organic-inorganic hybrid quantum-well material (C₄H₉NH₃)₂PbBr₄ by photoluminescence and two-photon absorption measurements. The biexciton has extremely large binding energy, 60 meV, which to our knowledge is the largest value ever reported for a semiconductor. By analyzing the spectrum of biexciton luminescence, the biexciton gas temperature was found to be much higher than the bath temperature due to a higher local temperature arising from the large biexciton binding energy.     

IR-induced nonlinear optics in Ge-doped Bi12TiO20 large-sized nanocrystallites

Photoinduced non-linear optical effects in large-sized (up to 25 nm) nanocrystallites (NC) of Ge-doped Bi₁₂TiO₂₀ (BTO:Ge) incorporated within olygoether photopolymer matrix have been studied. Photoinduced second harmonic generation (PISHG) was measured. Nd:YAG pulsed laser (λ=1.06 μm) was used as a source of photoinducing light. As a fundamental light source for the SHG and two-photon absorption, Er:LiYF₄ laser (λ=2.065 μm) was used. We have found that with increasing IR pump power density, the output doubled frequency SHG signal (λ=1.03 μm) increases and achieves its maximum value at the pump power density about 0.45 GW/cm² and NC size about 12 nm.The values of second-order optical susceptibilities were almost 20% larger than for the pure BTO NC single crystals. With decreasing temperature below 60 K, the SHG signal increases achieving maximal value at LHeT.     

Elliptic systems with nonlinearity q greater or equal than two with controlled growth. Global Hölder continuity of solutions to the Dirichlet problem

Hölder regularity up to the boundary of the solutions to the Dirichlet problem for second order elliptic systems with nonlinearity q>2 and with controlled growth is proved when n?q+2.     

On a model of phase relaxation for the hyperbolic Stefan problem

In this paper we study a model of phase relaxation for the Stefan problem with the Cattaneo–Maxwell heat flux law. We prove an existence and uniqueness result for the resulting problem and we show that its solution converges to the solution of the Stefan problem as the two relaxation parameters go to zero, provided a relation between these parameters holds.

Symmetry-Breaking Phenomena in an Optimization Problem for some Nonlinear Elliptic Equation

Let $\Omega$ be a bounded domain in ${\bf R^n}$ with Lipschitz boundary, $\lambda >0,$ and $1\le p \le (n+2)/(n-2)$ if $n\ge 3$ and $1\le p< +\infty$ if $n=1,2$. Let $D$ be a measurable subset of $\Omega$ which belongs to the class $ {\cal C}_{\beta}=\{D\subset \Omega \quad | \quad |D|=\beta\} $ for the prescribed $\beta\in (0, |\Omega|).$ For any $D\in{\cal C}_{\beta}$, it is well known that there exists a unique global minimizer $u\in H^1_0(\Omega)$, which we denote by $u_D$, of the functional \[\quad J_{\Omega,D}(v)=\frac12\int_{\Omega}|\nabla v|^2\, dx+\frac{\lambda}{p+1}\int_{\Omega}|v|^{p+1}\, dx -\int_{\Omega}\chi_Dv\,dx \] on $H^1_0(\Omega)$. We consider the optimization problem $ E_{\beta,\Omega}=\inf_{D\in {\cal C}_{\beta}} J_D(u_D) $ and say that a subset $D^*\in {\cal C}_{\beta}$ which attains $E_{\beta,\Omega}$ is an optimal configuration to this problem. In this paper we show the existence, uniqueness and non-uniqueness, and symmetry-preserving and symmetry-breaking phenomena of the optimal configuration $D^*$ to this optimization problem in various settings.
