Monitoring cooperative equilibria in a stochastic differential game

This paper deals with a class of equilibria which are based on the use of memory strategies in the context of continuous-time stochastic differential games. In order to get interpretable results, we will focus the study on a stochastic differential game model of the exploitation of one species of fish by two competing fisheries. We explore the possibility of defining a so-called cooperative equilibrium, which will implement a fishing agreement. In order to obtain that equilibrium, one defines a monitoring variable and an associated retaliation scheme. Depending on the value of the monitoring variable, which provides some evidence of a deviation from the agreement, the probability increases that the mode of a game will change from a cooperative to a punitive one. Both the monitoring variable and the parameters of this jump process are design elements of the cooperative equilibrium. A cooperative equilibrium designed in this way is a solution concept for a switching diffusion game. We solve that game using the sufficient conditions for a feedback equilibrium which are given by a set of coupled HJB equations. A numerical analysis, approximating the solution of the HJB equations through an associated Markov game, enables us to show that there exist cooperative equilibria which dominate the classical feedback Nash equilibrium of the original diffusion game model.This research was supported by FNRS-Switzerland, NSERC-Canada, FCAR-Quebec.

Existence of a Weak Solution for the Phase Change Problem with Joule's Heating

A phase change problem with Joule's heat ing describes tbe processes of electric heating in a conducting material. It is modeled as a coupled system of nonlinear partial differential equations with quadratic growth in the gradient. We establish the existence of a weak solution for the problem in two dimensions.

某型机进近段高精度相对姿态实时测量技术

某型机在飞行训练过程中,进近段的二维相对姿态数据对于该型机安全着陆有着至关重要的作用。基于无线网络电台的双向数据传输系统能够实时获取进近段飞机相对理想着陆点的水平、垂直相对位置数据。通过上行链路上传着陆点的姿态数据,下行链路实时下传动动差分后的差分数据,最后在中心控制站进行二次数据处理。该技术获得的进近段二维相对姿态精度达到厘米级,满足飞行训练的需求。同时结合飞机显控数据以及视景图,以多角化动态关联的方式将实时获取的姿态数据等呈现给指挥员,更好地辅助指挥员进行着陆指挥工作。     

Analytical and approximate solutions of(2+1)-dimensional time-fractional Burgers-Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation

In this paper, we applied the sub-equation method to obtain a new exact solution set for the extended version of the time-fractional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation, namely BurgersKadomtsev-Petviashvili equation(Burgers-K-P) that arises in shallow water waves.Furthermore, using the residual power series method(RPSM), approximate solutions of the equation were obtained with the help of the Mathematica symbolic computation package. We also presented a few graphical illustrations for some surfaces. The fractional derivatives were considered in the conformable sense. All of the obtained solutions were replaced back in the governing equation to check and ensure the reliability of the method. The numerical outcomes confirmed that both methods are simple, robust and effective to achieve exact and approximate solutions of nonlinear fractional differential equations.     

Pion-proton elastic scattering at 200 GeV/c

Recent measurements of differential and elastic cross-sections, slope parameters and ratios of the real and imaginary parts of the forward scattering amplitudes for pion-proton elastic scattering at 200 GeV/c have been fitted by using a simple Regge pole model with phenomenological residue functions. The computed results for total cross-sections have also been compared with the experimental data.     

On singularly perturbed quasilinear systems

In this paper, the objective is to give sufficient conditions for the existence of solution of the nonlinear two-point boundary value problem(1.1). And we employ these results to consider the boundary layer phenomena of the quasilinear weakly coupled singularly perturbed system (DP)_q.     

A contribution to the global formulation of the higher-order Poincaré-Cartan form

The global formulation of the higher-order Poincaré-Cartan form for Lagrangian field theories in the calculus of variations is re-examined in terms of the theory of lifts of tensor fields on a manifold to its higher-order prolongated jet bundles.Partially supported by CNPq, Brazil, Proc.
