P(i-PrNCH2CH2)3N: An efficient nonionic catalyst for the regioselective Michael addition of a β,γ-unsaturated ester and a nitrile

Michael additions of a β,γ-unsaturated ester and a nitrile to a variety of α,β-unsaturated ketones can be effected with high regioselectivity and in good yields using P(i-PrNCH₂CH₂)₃N as a catalyst.     

New approach to calibrating conductivity meters in the low conductivity range

There is currently a major issue with the calibration of conductivity meters used for high purity water: the lack of availability of a reference material or reference methods for low conductivity ranges (conductivity below 1 S cm^–1 at 25.0 °C, resistivity >1 M cm at 25.0 °C). This paper describes the current status of conductivity measurements in high purity water. A new and improved approach, currently being investigated, should allow us to make the calibration of conductivity meters used for low conductivity ranges traceable to the SI.Milipore, Milli-Q and Elix are registered trademarks of Millipore Corporation.     

Chemistry of <Emphasis Type="Italic">N,N</Emphasis>-bis(silyloxy)enamines 7. Quaternization of tertiary amines and nitrogen-containing heterocycles by <Emphasis Type="Italic">N,N</Emphasis>-bis(silyloxy)enamines

Coupling of N,N-bis(silyloxy)enamines with tertiary amines and nitrogen-containing heterocycles affording the corresponding functionalized ammonium or iminium salts was studied. The area of its application was determined, and optimal procedures for the synthesis of the target products were proposed. The mechanism including the formation of conjugated nitroso alkene or a silylnitrosonium cation as key intermediates is discussed.__________Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Cp*Me₅P₆C₅: A New Carbaphosphane with a Structure Unit of Hittorf-Phosphorus The thermolysis of 1,2,3-tris(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)cyclotriphosphane [(Cp*P)₃, 1 ] or 2,3,4,6-Tetrakis(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)bicyclo[3.1.0]hexaphosphane [Cp*₄P₆, 2 ] leads in addition to the known 3,4-bis(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)tricyclo[3.1.0.0^{2, 6}]hexaphosphane [Cp*₂P₆, 3 ] to the pentacyclic carbaphosphanes 3,4,5,6,11-pentamethyl-endo-9-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl- 3,4,5,6,11-pentacarba-pentacyclo [6.1.1^1,8.1^3,6.0^2,70^10,11]-4-en-undecaphosphane and 3,4,5,6,11-pentamethyl-exo-9-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl-3,4,5,6,11-pentacarba-pentacyclo [6.1.1^1,8.1^3,6.0^2,70^10,11]-4-en-undecaphosphane [Cp*Me₅P₆C₅, 4a, 4b ]. Furthermore, other polyphosphanes are formed, like 1,2,3,4-tetrakis(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)cyclotetraphosphane [(Cp*P)₄, 5 ] and 2,4-bis(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)-tetraphosphabicyclo[1.1.0]butane [(Cp*P)₂P₂, 6 ]. The structure of 4a and 4b is determined by NMR-spectroscopy. The molecule contains a P₅C₃-cunean-unit, to which a C₂Me₂-brigde and a PCp*-brigde is bonded.     

GC-MS监测生活饮用水输配水管材及防护材料中溶出的挥发性有机物

我国的生活饮用水行业中,目前常使用的管材分为金属类管材和非金属类管材两种。由于金属类管材本身的化学特性,行业内必须在此类管材的内壁上进行防腐处理,通常采用一些高分子防腐涂料。可用于给水行业的涂料品种繁多,涂料质量好坏直接影响到水质。我们针对一些常用产品作了浸泡试验,用吹扫捕集-GC-MS方法对水中溶出的可挥发性有机物进行了检测,发现一些产品在水中溶出了大量的甲苯、乙苯、二甲苯、甲乙苯等苯系物,且浸泡30d后仍有溶出物。这些物质长期存在会导致人体中枢神经系统紊乱,严重危害人体健康。行业内关于水源水中此类有机物污染的监测比较充分,而对于防护涂料可能污染水质的状况并未引起足够重视。     

水杨酸与烟草铜锌超氧化物歧化酶的相互作用

利用邻苯三酚自氧化法监测了磷酸盐缓冲体系中水杨酸（SA）对超氧化物歧化酶（SOD）活力的影响。通过荧光光谱法研究了水杨酸与超氧化物歧化酶的相互作用机制，求得两者结合的形成常数和配位数，使用Forster非辐射能量转移技术求出了两者的结合位置距色氨酸残基间的距离为2.60nm。     

Multicomponent analysis with a computerized flow injection system using LED photometric detection

An original computer-controlled solid-state photometer has been developed and its potential for simultaneous multicomponent flow-injection analysis of binary and ternary mixtures is demonstrated. The device is simple in construction. Its principle of operation is based on rapid sequential measurements of the absorbance of the complexes formed by the analytes with chromogenic reagents at the wavelengths corresponding to the emission maxima of three light emitting diodes (563, 580 and 638 nm).     

Preparation and partial characterization of a soluble site-to-site directed enzyme complex composed of alcohol dehydrogenase and lactate dehydrogenase

A soluble, bifunctional enzyme complex has been prepared by crosslinking lactate dehydrogenase and alcohol dehydrogenase with glutaraldehyde. The crosslinking was performed on a solid phase while the active sites of alcohol dehydrogenase and lactate dehydrogenase were held adjacent to one another with the aid of a bis-NAD analog. Subsequently, the enzyme complex was released from the solid phase. The soluble enzyme complex was then purified by using NAD-Sepharose as an affinity adsorbent. Based on gel filtration experiments, the complex was estimated to consist of one of each dehydrogenase. By using a third enzyme, lipoamide dehydrogenase, which competes with lactate dehydrogenase for NADH produced by alcohol dehydrogenase, the effect of site-to-site orientation was studied. It was found that about 83% of the NADH produced by alcohol dehydrogenase was oxidized by site-to-site oriented lactate dehydrogenase compared to a figure of only about 61% obtained in an identical system of separate enzymes. This indicates that given two alternative routes, the preference for the one to lactate dehydrogenase over the one to lipoamide dehydrogenase is enhanced when lactate dehydrogenase and alcohol dehydrogenase are site-to-site oriented.
