The presence of hydrogen bonding interactions in several tautomeric forms of formohydroxamic acid (FHA) and 1:1 association among the tautomeric forms and water‐coordinated tautomeric forms of FHA is explored theoretically. Out of the seven equilibrium structures, four tautomeric forms have been selected for aggregation with single water molecule and dimer formation. Fifteen aggregates of FHA with H2O have been optimized at MP2/AUG‐cc‐PVDZ level and analyzed for intramolecular and intermolecular H‐bond interactions. Twenty‐seven dimers of the four tautomeric forms have been obtained at MP2/6‐31+G* level. The stabilization energies associated with dimerization and adduct formation with water are the result of H‐bond interactions and range from very weak to medium. The atomic charges and NBO analysis indicate that the electrostatic and the charge transfer are the important components favoring H‐bond formation. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The intramolecular hydrogen bond strength of 3‐hydroxy‐propenethial (HPT) as well as the fluoro, chloro, bromo, and methyl derivatives were investigated at the B3LYP/6‐311++G** level of theory. Solvent‐based calculations (in water) for HPT and derivatives were also carried out. The nature of the intramolecular hydrogen bond existing within the molecular under investigation has been studied by means of the Bader theory of atoms in molecules (AIM) that is based upon the use topological properties in terms of the electron density. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The effect of the methyl group on the cooperativity between three types of hydrogen bond (O H···O, C H···O, and O H···π) in cyclic complex involving an acetylene and two waters has been studied on the basis of high-level ab initio calculations. The total interaction energy of three hydrogen bonds increases as the number of methyl group in the complex increases. The binding distances of O H···π and O H···O hydrogen bonds shorten, while that of C H···O hydrogen bond elongates with increasing methyl group. This indicates that addition of methyl group leads to enhancement of O H···π and O H···O hydrogen bonds, and weakening of C H···O hydrogen bond, as also shown in frequency shift, chemical shifts, charge populations, and stabilization energies of orbital interactions. Although the presence of methyl group has a complicated effect on different type of hydrogen bond, the cooperativity of three hydrogen bonds increases in general with the addition of methyl group. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 对PPh2py配合物[M(CO)3(PPh2py)2](M=Fe, Ru)的三种构型的异构体1-6进行了研究. 其中PPh2py以两个P原子与M配位形成HH构型1(Fe)和4(Ru), 以一个P和一个N原子与M配位形成HT构型2(Fe)和5(Ru), 以两个N原子与M配位形成HH’构型3(Fe)和6(Ru). 结果表明, (1) PPh2py中P原子对HOMO轨道的贡献最大, PPh2py作为电子给体时易以P原子与金属原子结合. (2)从分子能量和相互作用能数据表明, 配合物中HH构型最稳定, HH'构型最不稳定, 这与合成产物为HH构型的结果一致. (3) 键长和Wiberg键级均表明P—M键比N—M键结合力强. P、M原子间存在σ键, 而N、Fe原子间仅存在nN→n*M或nN→σ*M-P的电荷转移作用. (4) HH构型中M对HOMO的贡献最大, PPh2py向M的电荷转移最强, 使M的负电荷最大, 故HH构型最易作为电子给体以M原子与第二个金属配位形成双核配合物.  相似文献

在DFT-B3LYP/6-311++G**水平上求得HOCl+HCOCl复合物势能面上的四种稳定构型(S1,S2,S3和S4).其中,在复合物S1和S3中,HOCl单体的5H原子作为质子供体,与HCOCl单体中作为质子受体的10原子相互作用,形成红移氢键复合物;在复合物S4中,HOCl单体的7Cl原子作为质子供体,与HCOCl单体中作为质子受体的IO原子相互作用,形成红移卤键复合物;而在复合物S2中,同时存在2C-3H…6O蓝移氢键和4Cl…5O相互作用.在MP2/6-311++G**水平上计算的单体间的相互作用能考虑了基组重叠误差(BSSE)和零点振动能(ZPVE)校正,其值在-5.05与-14.76 kJ·mol-1之间.采用自然键轨道理论(NBO)对两种单体间相互作用的本质进行了考查,并通过分子中原子理论(AIM)分析了复合物中氢键和卤键键鞍点处的电子密度拓扑性质.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论(DFT),在B3LYP/6-31G水平上对2,7′-(乙烯基)-二-8-羟基喹啉(2,7′-Ethq2)及其3种金属M(M=Zn,Mg,Be)有机配合物M(2,7′-Ethq2)2的结构进行了全优化,并用ZINDO和TDDFT方法计算了它们的吸收光谱。同时,利用自然键轨道理论(NBO)对分子内氢键进行了分析。结果表明,光谱计算值与实验值基本符合,该类化合物均具有较大的电子亲和能,改变中心金属原子对配合物吸收光谱性质影响不大。和2,7′-Ethq2相比,M(2,7′-Ethq2)2的吸收光谱产生明显红移。2,7′-Ethq2及其M(2,7′-Ethq2)2分子内存在较强的氢键,氢键与环上的碳原子形成五元环,分子内氢键的存在使分子的稳定性增加。  相似文献

We applied density functional theory to study octyl-D-xyloside isomers in order to explain the features responsible for the liquid crystal mesophases. Compared to a glucoside, the xylose headgroup has a proton instead of the hydroxymethyl group on C5. Thus, a xyloside has a reduced headgroup volume that renders it less hydrophilic. Our results have shown that the xylose headgroup may adopt stable pyranose and furanose conformations, which may lead to different effective headgroup hydrophilicities. These features are probably responsible for forming two non-equivalent inverse micelles, which are self-assembled into a cubic discontinuous phase with a space group of Fd3m commonly found for xylosides. While different factors are responsible for controlling the relative stability of each isomer, the role of intramolecular hydrogen bonding was highlighted for the investigated single molecule. The polarisable continuum model was used to take into account the solvent effect in order to understand the molecular behaviour in very polar systems. Results from calculations carried out in gas phase were used for comparative purposes. The molecular electrostatic potential calculations for these xylolipids demonstrate sugar amphoterism, which is implicated in the heterogeneity nature of lipid self-assembly.  相似文献

The competition for binding and charge‐transfer (CT) from the nitrogen containing heterocycle pyrimidine to either silver or to water in surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is discussed. The correlation between the shifting observed for vibrational normal modes and CT is analyzed both experimentally using Raman spectroscopy and theoretically using electronic structure theory. Discrete features in the Raman spectrum correspond to the binding of either water or silver to each of pyrimidine's nitrogen atoms with comparable frequency shifts. Natural bond orbital (NBO) calculations in each chemical environment reveal that the magnitude of charge transfer from pyrimidine to adjacent silver atoms is only about twice that for water alone. These results suggest that the choice of solvent plays a role in determining the vibrational frequencies of nitrogen containing molecules in SERS experiments.  相似文献
