MHD flow of nanofluids over an exponentially stretching sheet in a porous medium with convective boundary conditions 下载免费PDF全文
This article concentrates on the steady magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) flow of viscous nanofluid. The flow is caused by a permeable exponentially stretching surface. An incompressible fluid fills the porous space. A comparative study is made for the nanoparticles namely Copper(Cu), Silver(Ag), Alumina(Al2O3) and Titanium Oxide(TiO2). Water is treated as a base fluid. Convective type boundary conditions are employed in modeling the heat transfer process. The non-linear partial differential equations governing the flow are reduced to an ordinary differential equation by similarity transformations. The obtained equations are then solved for the development of series solutions. Convergence of the obtained series solutions is explicitly discussed. The effects of different parameters on the velocity and temperature profiles are shown and analyzed through graphs. 相似文献

An analytical solution of the nonlinear eigenvalue problem arising from the fatigue crack growth problem in a damaged medium in coupled formulation is obtained. The perturbation technique for solving the nonlinear eigenvalue problem is used. The method allows to find the analytical formula expressing the eigenvalue as the function of parameters of the damage evolution law. It is shown that the eigenvalues of the nonlinear eigenvalue problem are fully determined by the exponents of the damage evolution law. In the paper the third-order (four-term) asymptotic expansions of the angular functions determining the stress and continuity fields in the neighborhood of the crack tip are given. The asymptotic expansions of the angular functions permit to find the closed-form solution for the problem considered. 相似文献

The kinetics and mechanism of ligand substitution reaction of coordinated water in complex, [Ru(CN)5H2O]3? by two incoming naphthalene substituted ligands [Ln], that is, Ln = nitroso-R-salt (NRS) and α-nitroso-β-naphthol (αNβN) have been studied spectrophotometrically by following an increase in absorbance at λmax = 525 nm in aqueous medium in presence of anionic surfactant micelle, sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) at 25.0 ± 0.1°C as a function of pH, [nitro-R-salt], [α-nitroso-β-naphthol], [Ru(CN)5H2O3?], [SDS] and ionic strength(I) under pseudo-first-order conditions by taking excess [L]. The values of pseudo-first-order rate constants (kobs) were evaluated from the slope of ln(A∞ ? At) versus time plots for each variation. Both systems were found to follow a dissociative mechanism (D), through the formation of an intermediate, [Ru(CN)5]3?. The activation parameters, that is, enthalpy of activation (ΔH≠) and entropy of activation (ΔS≠) were computed from the slope and intercept of ln(kf/T) versus (1/T) plot, which support the proposed mechanistic scheme. 相似文献

One-pot, catalyst-free, facile, and efficient sulfenylations of resorcinol, 1,3-diaminobenzene, 2-naphthol, 2-aminonaphthalene, indole, pentane-2,4-dione, etc., in aqueous and ethanolic solution by a mild sulfenium carrier azobenzene-2-sulfenyl bromide are described. A novel polystyrene-supported palladium(II) complex, an excellent and recyclable catalyst, was synthesized for Sonogashira reactions. The present complex shows high catalytic activity for Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction of aryl halides with phenylacetylene under phosphine-free and copper-free reaction conditions in aqueous (DMF–H2O) medium. The catalyst could be reused for at least six reaction cycles with almost unchanged catalytic properties.

An experimental phase diagram for two types of nematic liquid crystals and their binary mixtures was established by polarised optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry methods. The mixtures comprised a tolane-base liquid crystal, 4-heptyl-3-fluoro-4-isothiocyanatotolane (7TOLF), and a biphenyl-base nematogen, 4-heptyl-3-fluoro-4-isothiocyanatobiphenyl (7BF). The static Kerr effect and third-order non-linearity were investigated for 7TOLF and 7BF and their nematic mixtures within the isotropic phase. Both the compounds have a positive and large Kerr constant. The second-order phase-transition temperatures, T?, were determined for these mixtures. The linear dependence of (T - T?)??1 on the Kerr constant is found to be in good agreement with the predications of the Landau–de Gennes model. A simple procedure for the preparation of octadecylsiloxane self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on float glass substrates is described. The method utilizes commercial octadecyltriethoxysilane, OTE: n-C18H37Si(OCH2CH3)3, as the SAM precursor, with deposition accomplished in toluene solution using n-butylamine as catalyst. This synthetic approach obviates the use of the problematic trichlorosilanes typically required for the preparation of high quality SAMs, and is characterized by a wide ‘process window,’ utilizing off-the-shelf reagents without special handling. 相似文献

A clean and efficient procedure was established to synthesize 1,4-dihydropyridines via one-pot Hantzsch reactions in aqueous medium without the use of a catalyst and/or organic solvent. The reaction with stoichiometric molar ration could be carried out in a sealed vessel with a water steam, air, or nitrogen atmosphere to afford Hantzsch esters in good to excellent yields and purities. After the simple filtration, the 1,4-dihydropyridines were isolated, and the filtrate could be recycled and reused without significantly decreasing the yields and purities. The novel and clean methodology offers the advantages including short reaction time, good yields, operational simplicity, less leaks, and environmentally benign. 相似文献
