Due to its unequalled advantages, the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) modality has truly revolutionized the diagnosis and evaluation of pathology. Because many morphological anatomic details that may not be visualized by other high tech imaging methods can now be readily shown by diagnostic MRI, it has already become the standard modality by which all other clinical imaging techniques are measured. The unique quantum physical basis of the MRI modality combined with the imaging capabilities of current computer technology has made this imaging modality a target of interdisciplinary interest for clinicians, physicists, biologists, engineers, and mathematicians. Due to the fact that MRI scanners perform corticomorphic processing, this modality is by far more complex than all the other high tech clinical imaging techniques. The purpose of this paper is to outline a phase coherent wavelet approach to Fourier transform MRI. It is based on distributional harmonic analysis on the Heisenberg nilpotent Lie group G and the associated symplectically invariant symbol calculus of pseudodifferential operators. The contour and contrast resolution of MRI scans which is controlled by symplectic filter bank processing gives the noninvasive MRI modality superiority over X-ray computed tomography (CT) in soft tissue differentiation. 相似文献

There are different constructions of the flux of triad in loop quantum gravity, namely the fundamental and alternative flux operators. In parallel to the consistency check on the two versions of operator by the algebraic calculus in the literature, we check their consistency by the graphical calculus. Our calculation based on the original Brink graphical method is obviously simpler than the algebraic calculation. It turns out that our consistency check fixes the regulating factor κreg of the Ashtekar-Lewandowski volume operator as1/2, which corrects its previous value in the literature. 相似文献

Graph-based causal inference has recently been successfully applied to explore system reliability and to predict failures in order to improve systems. One popular causal analysis following Pearl and Spirtes et al. to study causal relationships embedded in a system is to use a Bayesian network (BN). However, certain causal constructions that are particularly pertinent to the study of reliability are difficult to express fully through a BN. Our recent work demonstrated the flexibility of using a Chain Event Graph (CEG) instead to capture causal reasoning embedded within engineers’ reports. We demonstrated that an event tree rather than a BN could provide an alternative framework that could capture most of the causal concepts needed within this domain. In particular, a causal calculus for a specific type of intervention, called a remedial intervention, was devised on this tree-like graph. In this paper, we extend the use of this framework to show that not only remedial maintenance interventions but also interventions associated with routine maintenance can be well-defined using this alternative class of graphical model. We also show that the complexity in making inference about the potential relationships between causes and failures in a missing data situation in the domain of system reliability can be elegantly addressed using this new methodology. Fuzzy logic control has been used frequently in tuning network control system (NCS) due to its on-line dynamic static non-linear match and several remarkable fractional-order controllers have achieved satisfactory control performance when applied to NCS in present years, therefore, in this paper, a novel fractional fuzzy logic controller which combined the fractional algorithm and fuzzy logic control together has been proposed to deal with fixed and random network induced delays in closed-loop feedback systems. The comparisons of set-point tracking performances of fractional fuzzy logic PID controller (FFuzzyPID), conventional fuzzy logic PID controller(FuzzyPID), fractional optimal PID controller (FOPID), and optimal PID controller(OPID) on a representative plant with fixed and random network delays have been shown with simulations. The simulation results indicate that fractional fuzzy logic controller has higher capability to handle network delays compared with other controllers in most cases. 相似文献

We derive a Wick–Itô formula, that is, an Itô-type formula based on Wick integration. We derive it in the context of regular Gaussian processes which include Brownian motion and fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter greater than 1/2. We then consider applications to the Black and Scholes formula for the pricing of a European call option. It has been shown that using Wick integration in this context is problematic for economic reasons. We show that it is also problematic for mathematical reasons because the resulting Black and Scholes formula depends only on the variance of the process and not on its dependence structure. 相似文献
