Cluster anions of a sodium atom with acrylonitrile
molecules,
(n = 0–6), have been studied by
negative-ion photoelectron spectroscopy. In addition,
theoretical calculations by using density functional theory have
been performed to obtain optimized structures and vertical
detachment energies. For Na(AN)–, the
spectrum can be explained by excitation of two different isomers
of the anion. For
, a broad band is found in the
photoelectron spectrum, whose profile is almost identical with
those of previously reported photoelectron spectra of
and a negative ion of chemically
synthesized 1,3,5-cyclohexanetricarbonitrile (CHTCN) molecule.
From this resemblance of band profiles, we conclude that
oligomerization of (AN)3 takes place in
and the CHTCN is formed as the

The acid-base properties of native zinc oxide surfaces have been studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The native layers of zinc oxide have been obtained by ageing mechanically polished pure zinc disks in a glass dryer for 1 month. Such a treatment lead to the formation of an unstable oxide layer and dehydroxylation has been observed during storage in vacuum. By following adsorption in ultrahigh vacuum of 1,2-diaminoethane (DAE) several types of active sites have been evidenced. Zinc cations react with the probe molecule following a Lewis acid/base interaction, while the hydroxyl and the carbonate-like species react following a Brønsted acid/base reaction. Although initial interaction via the Brønsted-like mechanisms is favoured, it has been shown that the resulting complexes are not stable. Under vacuum conditions, the adsorbed DAE molecules either partly desorb or modify their interaction mode with the surface to form additional Lewis-like bonded stable complexes. In addition, a cleaning effect of the molecule has been observed which lead to partial removal of the carbonate-like contamination. 相似文献

Quantum transport in semiconductor nanostructures can be described theoretically in terms of the propagation and scattering of electron probability waves. Within this approach, elements of a phase-coherent electric circuit play a role similar to quantum-optical devices that can be characterised by scattering matrices. Electronic analogues of well-know optical interferometers have been fabricated and used to study special features of charge carriers in solids. We present results from our theoretical investigation into the interplay between spin precession and quantum interference in an electronic Mach-Zehnder interferometer with spin-orbit coupling of the Rashba type. Intriguing spin-dependent transport effects occur, which can be the basis for novel spintronic devices such as a magnet-less spin-controlled field-effect transistor and a variety of single-qubit gates. Their functionality arises entirely from spin-dependent interference of each single-input electron with itself. We have also studied two-electron interference effects for the spin-dependent Mach-Zehnder interferometer, obtaining analytical expressions for its two-fermion-state scattering matrix. Using this result, we consider ways to generate two-electron output states for which the Rashba spin-subband quantum number and the output arm index are entangled. Combining spin-dependent interference in our proposed Mach-Zehnder interferometer with a projective charge measurement at the output enables entanglement generation. As our particular scheme involves tuneable spin precession, electric-field control of entanglement production can be achieved. 相似文献

Liquid crystal spatial light modulators, which are widely used as display devices for computer-generated holograms, have modulation characteristics that depend on spatial frequency. We describe a method for displaying a computer-generated hologram on a liquid crystal spatial light modulator with compensation of its spatial frequency response. Using this method, we demonstrate a binary phase grating with smaller dependence on the spatial frequency. We also demonstrate application of the display method to holographic femtosecond laser processing. 相似文献

The field-tuned ac susceptibility of Mn12Ac single crystal has been measured as functions of temperature and frequency. Two relaxation processes appear in our measurement. One is related to the magnetic quantum tunnelling of a collective spin S = 12 by a 61 K magnetic barrier and it has been well studied, while the other is faster than the former and its mechanism is unclear. We find that the relaxation time for the faster process shows the minima at H = 0 and H = 3.4 kOe, indicating that the quantum tunnelling also takes place in this process while the resonant fields are different from what we have known before. 相似文献

We demonstrate the fabrication of symmetric waveguides in a bismuth germanate (BGO) single crystal using a double line approach by an 80Ohm [emtosecond laser. The optical attenuation of the single mode waveguide is measured to be 4.2 dB/cm at 633nm. The influence of pulse energy and focal depth on the end facet of the irradiated region is also studied. This technique is promising to fabricate buried BGO waveguide arrays used in positron emission tomography systems. 相似文献

Chaotification theorems for one-dimensional discrete dynamical systems and general higher-dimensional discrete dynamical systems are derived, respectively, whether the original systems are stable or not. Advances in high-speed laser and camera technology have made scientific kHz repetition rate combustion and flow laser diagnostics
feasible. While quantitative flow-field results have been shown to be possible via PIV, measuring scalars relevant to combustion
such as mixture fraction, temperature and species concentrations is still a significant challenge. Tracer-LIF has proven to
be a useful tool for imaging of mixture fraction. This paper highlights recent success at extending this technique for use
at 9.5 kHz acquisition rate. The measurements are taken near the exit of an isothermal round jet seeded with acetone. Results
taken at both maximum possible signal and a practical configuration for reacting flows are contrasted. Data are fully quantified
and corrected for not only absorption, optical uniformity and laser pulse variation, but also for individual CMOS pixel offset

Dynamical behaviors in the diffusion replicator equation of three species are numerically studied. We point out the significant role of the heteroclinic cycle in the equation, and analyze the details of the turbulent solution that appeared in this system. Firstly, the bifurcation diagram for a certain parameter setting is drawn. Then it is shown that the turbulence appears with the supercritical Hopf bifurcation of a stationary uniform solution and it disappears under a subcritical-type bifurcation. Secondly, the statistical property of the turbulence near the supercritical Hopf onset point is analyzed precisely. Further, the correlation lengths and correlation times obey some characteristic scaling laws. 相似文献
