Bounds on convex reliability functions with known first moments

In this paper, upper and lower bounds are derived for convex reliability functions (or survival functions) with known first n moments. The case where the mean and the variance are given (n = 2) is discussed in details and explicit expressions are provided. Extensions for n ? 3 moments are described. Comparisons with existing bounds are performed.

Equivalence of conditions for convergence of iterative methods for singular equations

Equivalence is shown between different conditions for convergence of iterative methods for consistent singular systems of linear equations on Banach spaces. These systems appear in many applications, such as Markov chains and Markov processes. The conditions considered relate the range and null spaces of different operators.     

APPROXIMATION OPERATORS AND SELFSIMILARITY OVER P-ADIC FIELD

Fourier analysis on local fields has been developed since M. H. Taiblesoa, Some of its theory and technique are much similar to the classical ones while some are not and even have not appropriately mathematical toolS to deal with. Recently we find there are a few but interesting applications to fractals ,especial to self-similar functions of the p-adic analysis and such a setting seems to be natural. This note also includes a concept of a derivative and approximation operators.     

Even the first iterate of a Markov operator is contracting in anL 2 norm

A weightedL ₂ norm is introduced in which Markov operators, e.g., associated with noisy maps, are contracting provided the kernel (i.e., the transitional distribution) is smooth enough. This results in strong relaxational properties of noisy maps. Similar to this norm, integral functionals appear useful when studying spatiotemporal chaos and random fields.

通过对α阶β型亚纯星形算子值函数类∑p(α，β）的若干性质的讨论，得到了关于∑p(α，β）的一个充分必要条件的f(z)的算子系数的一个估计，同时，也证明了∑p(α，β）在算子平均和凸线性组合下是闭的。     

Mapping Surgery To Analysis III: Exact Sequences

Using the constructions of the preceding two papers, we construct a natural transformation (after inverting 2) from the Browder-Novikov-Sullivan-Wall surgery exact sequence of a compact manifold to a certain exact sequence of C ^*-algebra K-theory groups.
