The S-parameters of several different quantum well double barrier diodes have been measured. A technique has been developed for measuring whisker contacted diodes with and HP 8510B automatic network analyzer. Special coaxial mounts using K-connectors were designed to enable measurements up to 20 GHz. The voltage-dependent conductance and capacitance were derived from the measured reflection coefficient of each device. The C/V characteristics were observed to exhibit an anomalous increase at voltages corresponding the the negative differential resistance region (NDR). These are the first reported S-parameter measurements in the negative differential resistance region of quantum well double barrier diodes. A theory is presented that explains, in part, the observed results. 相似文献

We report on further developments in the three-dimensional tracking of a particle deep within the tumbling ball charge of
an experimental mill. The experimental X-ray program employing the use of bi-planar X-ray angiography now includes the tracking
of a typical 6 mm bulk charge particle in three dimensions with a spatial resolution that is accurate to within 0.15 mm. The
improved experimental tracking techniques presented were developed for the purpose of generating accurate three-dimensional
particle trajectory data against which to validate a numerical method for the simulation of discrete media, namely the discrete
element method (DEM). These improvements are complimented with techniques for comparing charge profiles between numerical

This paper describes a layer‐by‐layer (LBL) self‐assembly process of chitosan (CTS) and gold nanoparticles (Au) on the pretreated negatively charged glassy carbon (GC) electrode to fabricate electrochemistry immunosensor with a nontoxic biomimetic interface, which provided an environment similar to a native system and allowed more freedom in orientation for immobilization of carcinoembryonic antibody (anti‐CEA) to monitor carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). UV‐vis spectroscope, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and cyclic voltammetric (CV) measurements were used to follow the multilayer film formation. The performance of the biominetic interface and factors influencing the assay system were investigated in detail. The differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) current response is used for the CEA concentration assay. The dynamic range was from 0.50 to 80.00 ng mL?1 with a detection limit of 0.27 ng mL?1 at 3σ. In addition, the experiment results indicate that immobilization described in this proposed method exhibits a good sensitivity, selectivity, and stability. 相似文献

This paper presents detailed information on the experience gained during the attempts to model a set of transitional flows
due to boundary layer separation. These flows are developed on a flat plate with a semi-circular leading edge and they have
been coded by the ERCOFTAC Special Interest Group on Transition, as T3L flows. Different freestream velocities and turbulence
intensities configure these transitional flows and, by consequence, govern the transition mechanism, resulting in larger or
smaller transitional regions. The modeling of the T3L flows has been performed by adopting a low-Reynolds number second-moment
closure turbulence model. The results showed satisfactory agreement with the experimental measurements, although some difficulties
regarding successful convergence have been faced. The final conclusion is that turbulence modeling can present quite accurate
results for transitional flows without any additional use of ad-hoc modifications or additional equations based on various

Overtone singing, also called biphonic singing, xöömij or chant diphonique in french; is a special singing style that exhibits two or more separate sounds - one “drone” sound of relatively low pitch and one or more high pitch melody sounds. The perceived pitches of the upper tones are multiples of the drone sound, i.e. taken from its overtone scale. Compared to voiced sounds of western style singers, the relative amplitude of the melody pitches is quite high, and the formant bandwidth of overtone sounds is small. This paper tries to answer the question of how these formant properties are achieved. Experimental investigations and numerical calculations prove the existence of two closely neighboured formants for the production of the melody sound in the sygyt style. 相似文献

The effect of the temperature factor, that is, the ratio of the body temperature to the freestream stagnation temperature, on the structure of the separated flow formed in the presence of a concave corner in a supersonic stream is studied. The strong influence of the temperature factor on the separation zone length and the flow-generated aerodynamic characteristics is established. This study investigates the robust output tracking problem for a class of uncertain linear systems. The uncertainties are assumed to be time invariant and to satisfy the matching conditions. According to the selected nominal parameters, an optimal solution with a prescribed degree of stability is determined. Then, an auxiliary input via the use of an adapting factor, connected to the nominal optimal control, is introduced to guarantee the robustness and prescribed degree of stability for the output tracking control of the uncertain linear systems. This method is very simple and effective and can reject bounded uncertainties imposed on the states. A maglev vehicle model example is given to show its effectiveness. 相似文献
