The paper presents the results of the experimental research on the ice slurry loss coefficient during its flow through sudden contractions. Experimental studies were conducted using a few of the most common contractions of copper pipes. Six contraction ratios were covered: 0.500, 0.615, 0.650, 0.769, 0.800 and 0.813. In the experimental research, the mass fraction of solid particles in the slurry ranged from 20 to 30 (20%, 25%, 30%). Research results allow for determining the theoretical correlation for the ice slurry, in order to calculate the loss coefficient in contractions during laminar flow. The results of experimental investigations also confirmed that the loss coefficients in contractions in turbulent (transitional) flow of the ice slurry are the same as in the case of Newtonian liquids. The paper also presents original theoretical correlation for calculating the kinetic energy correction factor in the laminar range flow of liquid in the Bingham model. This correlation is used in this work for calculation of the ice slurry flow through contractions. 相似文献

Slurry-ETA-AAS is used to determine lead in plant materials. The stability of the slurry was studied and it was shown that, when NH4H2PO4 modifier is added, the shape of the time resolved absorbance signal for the sample and the standards is similar and the calibration line obtained using aqueous standards is parallel to the standard addition line. Results obtained for several reference materials (lead contents between 6.1 and 64.4 g/g) were in good agreement with the certified value, the relative standard deviation being 3–9%. 相似文献

Abstract Equilibration technique suitable for a large amount ofsamples is described for hydrogen and oxygen isotope analyses of ground ice, especially ice wedges, including the sampling strategy and the analytical procedure as well as the calibration of the Finnigan MAT Delta-S mass spectrometer in June, 1999. Since for future analyses of ice wedges, a higher sampling resolution with limited sample volume is required, the limit of the equliibration technique for small water samples size of between 0.05 and 5 ml was checked. For water samples smaller than 1ml, corresponding to a molar ratio [H2O]/[H2] of smaller than 0.994, a balance correction has to be applied. The experimental errors due to partial evaporation during evacuation, the balance calcultion of the isotope equilibration process, the linearity as well as memory effects of the mass spectrometer for smaples with large differences in δ18O and δD are tackled in this paper. In the polar regions of Northern Siberia without Late Pleistocene and Holocene glaciation, ground ice is used as an archive for paleoclimate studies. First results of stable isotope measurements on ice wedges clearly show a shift towards heavier isotopes and thus warmer winter temperatures as well as a change in the source of the precipitation between Late Pleistocene and Holocene. The effect of magnetic nanoparticles(mNPs) on the devitrification crystallization of typical vitrification solution Vs55 was systematically explored by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and cryomicroscope system. The results show tliat,(i) the mNPs coated by both carboxylic acid(CA) and polyethylene glycol(PEG) had little effect on the glass transition temperature(rg) of Vs55, but had significant effect on the devitrification transition temperature(7a) and devitrification enthalpy(Hrd),(ii) in the range of the devitrification area(-85- 0℃), the MNPs coated by CA can significantly accelerate the devitrification of Vs55 as the isothermal temperatures and the cooling rates increased, and the ice growth rate was 0.37 p.m/s at the isothermal temperature of-85 ℃, and was about 2.19 gm/s at -75℃. Also, the ice growth rates rose from 1.72 pm/s to 3.54 pm/s when the cooling rates were increased from 2 ℃/min to 100 ℃/min(at the isothennal temperature of -75℃),(iii) magnetic nanoparticles coated by both PEG and CA could promote the devitrification of Vs55, for instance, without any crystal growth inside Vs55 at the isothermal temperature of-80℃, but 1.04 and 2.31 gm/s for adding magnetic nanoparticles coated by CA and PEG, respectively. Compared with the samples coated by CA, PEG promoted the devitrification of Vs55 in a much more positive way, and the ice growth rates were 0.62 and 6.25 μm/s at the isothermal temperatures of -85 and -75 ℃, respectively. Tliese results indicate that the surface coating of MNPs could significantly affect tlie recrystallization of Vs55, and further work should be conducted in the future research. 相似文献
