Fixed-point theorems for families of weakly non-expansive maps

In this paper, we present some fixed-point theorems for families of weakly non-expansive maps under some relatively weaker and more general conditions. Our results generalize and improve several results due to Jungck [G. Jungck, Fixed points via a generalized local commutativity, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 25 (8) (2001) 497-507], Jachymski [J. Jachymski, A generalization of the theorem by Rhoades and Watson for contractive type mappings, Math. Japon. 38 (6) (1993) 1095-1102], Guo [C. Guo, An extension of fixed point theorem of Krasnoselski, Chinese J. Math. (P.O.C.) 21 (1) (1993) 13-20], Rhoades [B.E. Rhoades, A comparison of various definitions of contractive mappings, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 226 (1977) 257-290], and others.     

POSITIVE SOLUTION FOR NONLINEAR SINGULAR BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS

Under suitable conditions on f(·,u), it is shown that the two-point boundaryvalue problem((u'))' + λq(t)f(u) = 0in (0, 1),u(0) = u(1) = 0,has two positive solution or at least one positive solution for λ in a compatibleinterval.     

Iterative Schemes for Nonconvex Variational Inequalities

In this paper, we suggest and analyze some iterative methods for solving nonconvex variational inequalities using the auxiliary principle technique, the convergence of which requires either only pseudomonotonicity or partially relaxed strong monotonicity. Our proofs of convergence are very simple. As special cases, we obtain earlier results for solving general variational inequalities involving convex sets.

本文讨论了在区域提纯过程中，研究液态金属流的表面张力时提出的一个带有非负参数Ｑ的两点边值问题．利用上、下解方法和Ｓｃｈａｕｄｅｒ不动点定理，证明了当０Ｑ８５１时，该问题至少有一个解，对已有结果０Ｑ＜１进行了重要的改进．     

Continuous Selectors of Fixed Point Sets of Multifunctions with Decomposable Values

Existence theorems of continuous selectors whose values are fixed points of multivalued contractions are proved. As an application, the existence of continuous selectors to generalized solution sets of partial differential inclusions, depending on a parameter, is obtained.     

Weak singularities may help periodic solutions to exist

In a periodically forced semilinear differential equation with a singular nonlinearity, a weak force condition enables the achievement of new existence criteria through a basic application of Schauder's fixed point theorem. The originality of the arguments relies in that, contrary to the customary situation in the available references, a weak singularity facilitates the arguments of the proofs.     

Equivalent conditions involving common fixed points for maps on the unit interval

Let be a continuous self-map of the unit interval . Equivalent conditions are given to ensure that has a common fixed point with every continuous map that commutes with on a suitable subset of . This extends a recent result of Gerald Jungck.

     

The generalized order complementarity problem

Given an ordered Banach Space (E,K) andm functionsf ₁,f ₂,...,f _m:EE, the generalized order complementarity problem associated with {f _i} andK is to findx ₀K such thatf _i(x ₀)K,i=1,...,m, and (x ₀,f ₁(x ₀),...,f _m(x ₀))=0. The problem is shown to be equivalent to several fixed-point problems and equivalent to the order complementarity problem studied by Borwein and Dempster and by Isac. Existence and uniqueness of solutions and least-element theory are shown in the spacesC(, ) andL _p(, ). For general locally convex spaces, least-element theory is derived, existence is proved, and an algorithm for computing a solution is presented. Applications to the mixed lubrication theory of fluid mechanics are described.     

基于摩擦磨损的KDP晶体固结磨料抛光垫优化

本文通过固结磨料球与KDP晶体对磨的单因素试验探究固结磨料球中反应物种类、磨粒浓度、反应物浓度、基体硬度对摩擦系数、磨痕截面积和磨痕处粗糙度的影响,试验结果表明:KHCO₃固结磨料球对磨后磨痕对称性好,磨痕处的粗糙度值低;磨痕截面积随磨粒和反应物浓度的增加而增大,随基体硬度的增大而降低;磨痕处粗糙度随磨粒和反应物浓度的增加先降低后上升,随基体硬度的增大先上升后降低;摩擦系数受磨粒和反应物浓度影响不明显,随基体硬度的增大而降低。选择KHCO₃作为反应物,Ⅰ基体,磨粒浓度为基体质量的100%,反应物浓度为15%制备固结磨料球与KDP晶体对磨后的磨痕轮廓对称度好且磨痕处粗糙度值低,以该组分制备固结磨料垫干式抛光KDP晶体,可实现晶体表面粗糙度Sa值为18.50 nm,材料去除率为130 nm/min的高效精密加工。     

Evaluation of drawbar performance of winter tyres for special purpose vehicles

Driving on ice is still a risky activity. Research has investigated the factors contributing to the friction mechanism and has reported experimental studies of pneumatic tyres on ice in order to develop models that predict tractive and braking performance on ice/snow. Therefore, developing testing methods to obtain relevant experimental data for the validation of models is equally important.There are agricultural and industrial vehicles which are also designed for pulling but there are no specific studies reporting experimental tests on traction force of such machines in snowy conditions. However, this issue is very topical, as demonstrated by the appearance on the market of winter tyres for such vehicles.This study presents a method for testing winter tyres in outdoor test facilities with a focus on traction performance. The conclusions will serve in future investigations as a concise knowledge source to develop improved testing facilities and tyre–ice interaction models, aiding the development of better tyre designs and improved vehicle safety systems.The functional tests hereafter described have been carried out with the aim of evaluating the possibility of measuring the influences of different technique solutions on the performance of certain 17.5 R25 sized industrial tyres.
