The equilibrium of the heterogeneous reaction between dissolved sodium sulfide and biologically produced sulfur particles has been studied. Biologically produced sulfur was obtained from a bioreactor of a hydrogen sulfide removal process in which the dominating organism is Thiobacillus sp. W5. Detailed knowledge of this reaction is essential to understand its effect on the process. The results were compared with the equilibrium of the reaction of sulfide with ‘inorganic’ elemental sulfur. The equilibrium between dissolved sodium sulfide and biologically produced sulfur particles can be described by an equilibrium constant, Kx, which consists of a weighted sum of constants for polysulfide ions of different chain length, rather than a true single equilibrium constant. For biologically produced sulfur pKx = 9.10 ± 0.08 (21 °C) and 9.17 ± 0.09 (35 °C) with an average polysulfide chain length x = 4.91 ± 0.32 (21 °C) and 4.59 ± 0.31 (35 °C). The pKx value for biologically produced sulfur is significantly higher than for reaction of dissolved sodium sulfide with inorganic sulfur (pKx = 8.82; 21 °C). This difference is probably caused by the negatively charged polymeric organic layer, which is present on biologically produced sulfur but absent with “inorganic” sulfur. Specific binding of polysulfide ions to the organic layer results in a higher polysulfide concentration at the reaction site compared to the bulk concentration. This results in an apparent decrease of the measured equilibrium constant, Kx.  相似文献

Photocatalytic oxidation of water is a promising method to realize large-scale H2O2 production without a hazardous and energy-intensive process. In this study, we introduce a Pt/TiO2(anatase) photocatalyst to construct a simple and environmentally friendly system to achieve simultaneous H2 and H2O2 production. Both H2 and H2O2 are high-value chemicals, and their separation is automatic. Even without the assistance of a sacrificial agent, the system can reach an efficiency of 7410 and 5096 μmol g–1 h–1 (first 1 h) for H2 and H2O2, respectively, which is much higher than that of a commercial Pt/TiO2(anatase) system that has a similar morphology. This exceptional activity is attributed to the more favorable two-electron oxidation of water to H2O2, compared with the four-electron oxidation of water to O2.  相似文献

O-Lauroyl chitosan/poly(L-lactide) (OCS/PLLA) blend membranes with different compositions were prepared by solution-casting approach using chloroform as common solvent. The experimental results of FT-IR, DSC and WAXD indicated that inter-association hydrogen-bond interactions existed between OCS and PLLA in the blend membranes. And SEM observation confirmed that the blend membranes with suitable compositions were compatible.  相似文献

The geometrical and energetical parameters of hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen chloride crystals are calculated using the periodic Hartree–Fock method with 6-31G and 6-31G(d,p) basis sets. The comparison of the stabilisation energies reveals that HCl crystals are about 75% less stable than HF crystals. The activation energy for collective proton movements are computed and discussed in view of data of isolated infinite chains. The barriers of 13.1 and 40.0 kcal mol−1 at 6-31G(d,p) level are found for HF and HCl crystals.  相似文献

The 127I NQR, IR absorption and Raman spectra of impurity-doped and mixed lithium iodate Li1−xHxIO3 crystals grown from water solutions with different LiIO3/HIO3 ratios were investigated depending on the content of the impurity hydrogen x. The NQR results suggested that, at small concentration of doping iodic acid x<0.22, the lattice dynamics of the crystal grown from water solution changes significantly though the crystal retains hexagonal symmetry. Spectroscopic studies are compatible with average hexagonal symmetry of the grown doped crystals. From the results of Raman studies at room temperature and 100 K, the concentration range of hydrogen dopant 0.22<x<0.36 was found where disordered solid solution crystals Li1−xHxIO3 are formed.  相似文献

通过对一系列Cu-ZnO-ZrO2甲醇水蒸汽重整(SRM)催化剂的XRD、TEM和BET表征及催化性能测定,研究催化剂中ZrO2对催化剂粒径、比表面以及对SRM反应性能的影响.结果表明,ZrO2的加入,使催化剂的粒径从15 nm降至10 nm(其中CuO和ZnO的平均粒径分别从7.7和10.4 nm降至3.9和8.7 nm),BET比表面从60 m2•g-1增至78 m2•g-1.随着催化剂含ZrO2量不同,甲醇的转化率和H2、CO2的选择性均产生变化,当催化剂中Zr含量为24.0%(w),反应温度为220 ℃,水、醇摩尔比为1.3时,甲醇的转化率达到51.6%, H2和CO2的选择性达到100%(CO和CH4在产物气体中的体积分数小于10-4),这一结果对甲醇燃料电池甲醇重整器的应用具有重要的意义.  相似文献

The comparative studies on the association of Ac-ΔAla-NMe2 and Ac-l-Ala-NMe2 in carbon tetrachloride were performed by the analysis of their average molecular weight, dipole moments and FTIR spectra. To aid spectroscopic interpretation and gain some deeper insight into the nature of associates, the geometries of the minimum energy of the dimers of Ac-ΔAla-NMe2 and Ac-l-Ala-NMe2 were calculated by the B3LYP/6-31+G** method. The average molecular weight in the studied concentration range, for the ΔAla and l-Ala peptide, as determined by the osmometric method, did not exceed 1.5 and 1.2 of the monomeric mass, respectively. Accordingly, the percentage of the monomeric form (α) decreased as concentration was increased more significantly for the ΔAla analogue than for its saturated counterpart. In the studied concentrations, the dipole moment of the unsaturated compound decreases and that of its counterpart is almost constant. We identified a wider range of dimeric forms of Ac-ΔAla-NMe2 than those of Ac-l-Ala-NMe2. While Ac-ΔAla-NMe2 mainly forms cyclic dimers, built of open conformers H/F, specific for α,β-dehydroamino acids, Ac-l-Ala-NMe2 forms cyclic and linear dimers, characteristic for the usual amino acids. Ac-ΔAla-NMe2 has a greater tendency to associate than its saturated variant, which is the result of stronger hydrogen bonds.  相似文献
