Speciation of actinide ions in aqueous solution by laser-induced pulsed photoacoustic spectroscopy 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The oxidation-state specific detection of actinide ions, U(VI), Pu(IV), Pu(VI), and Am(III), was investigated by pulsed laser photoacoustic spectroscopy. With a single-beam differential technique, the solvent effect is compensated and thus the detection sensitivity substantially increased. The observed detection sensitivities are8×10–7M/L for U(VI)7×10–8M/L for Pu(IV)3×10–8M/L for PU(VI)2×10–8M/L for Am(III)The present method facilitates the study of complexation and polymerization of actinide ions in the submicromole concentration range. 相似文献

Membrane emulsification (ME) is a relatively new technique for the highly controlled production of particulates. This review focuses on the recent developments in this area, ranging from the production of simple oil-in-water (O/W) or water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions to multiple emulsions of different types, solid-in-oil-in-water (S/O/W) dispersions, coherent solids (silica particles, solid lipid microspheres, solder metal powder) and structured solids (solid lipid microcarriers, gel microbeads, polymeric microspheres, core-shell microcapsules and hollow polymeric microparticles). Other emerging technologies that extend the capabilities into different membrane materials and operation methods (such as rotating membranes, repeated membrane extrusion of coarsely pre-emulsified feeds) are introduced. The results of experimental work carried out by cited researchers in the field together with those of the current authors are presented in a tabular form in a rigorous and systematic manner. These demonstrate a wide range of products that can be manufactured using different membrane approaches. Opportunities for creation of new and novel entities are highlighted for low throughput applications (medical diagnostics, healthcare) and for large-scale productions (consumer and personal products). 相似文献

The origin of the acoustic signals that are generated in the bulk of a KDP crystal during irradiation with short UV laser pulses is determined. The generation of these signals by excitation with moderate or high optical fluences is linked to the evolution of the population of point defects that is generated in the crystal by absorption of two UV photons. These defects are bleached due to their efficient linear absorption of UV radiation, and their non-radiative relaxation is shown to be the origin of the acoustic signals. The rate constants for the different processes involved in both the linear and the non-linear interactions were determined from the experiments presented here. Characteristic values for the quantum efficiency for the generation of defects, F = 0.95 ± 0.05, and for the quantum efficiency for bleaching of defects, B = 0.065 ± 0.005, were obtained for 266-nm laser radiation. The model developed for the intensity of the acoustic signals reproduces the experimental facts with very good accuracy. 相似文献

UV irradiation has interesting potential for the photochemical modification of polymers. In order to study cross-linking effects
and/or thin-layer deposition following a treatment in the presence of bi-functional media or in inert atmosphere, irradiation
of PET in various atmospheres was performed using a KrCl excimer lamp. Surface properties were investigated by atomic force
microscopy, nanoindentation, micro-thermal analysis, and X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy. The studies reveal that surface
chemical composition, morphology, adhesion, thermomechanics, and stiffness/modulus are strongly affected by UV irradiation
in the presence of bi-functional media. Films treated in octadiene and argon show an increase of surface modulus, much less
expansion, and lower soft/melt temperatures, which is an indication of the surface cross-linking effect and a decrease of
crystallinity within the near-surface layer. In the case of a diallylphthalate-treated film, depending on the local structure,
either a strong decrease of melting temperature or no melting point is found, which is attributed to the irregular cross linking
and thickness of the modified layer associated with a decrease of surface modulus. A significant increase of the alkali resistance
is found after irradiation, as a result of both wetting and cross-linking effects on the polymer surface. 相似文献

In this work, we have studied the behavior of photosensitive materials in the liquid state when exposed to light with the aim of measuring the chemical kinetics in such state. The chemical kinetics is found determining the Dill’s parameter through the fit of the refractive index variations with energy per exposed area, based on a model proposed by Dill.
