Wavelength and power monitoring of DWDM systems using scanning F–P filter calibrated with a F–P laser

A novel technique to overcome the long-term drift and hysteresis of a scanning Fabry–Perot filter was developed and applied to wavelength and power monitoring of DWDM system. By using the comb peaks generated by a temperature-stabilized, near threshold-biased Fabry–Perot diode laser as wavelength reference for the scanning Fabry–Perot filter, wavelength and power measurement accuracy of better than ±10 pm and 0.2 dB, respectively, were achieved.

High-throughput screening of fuel cell electrocatalysts

The drawbacks of our earlier report of preparing fuel cell catalyst arrays by borohydride reduction of inkjet prepared arrays of metal salts are discussed along with the need for inclusion of state-of-the-art metrics in all array screening. An alternative method for screening of hydrogen/air cathode catalysts, direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) anode catalysts, and catalyst loading studies is provided. State-of-the-art Johnson Matthey catalysts were used in control experiments to demonstrate the utility of the array fuel cell for high throughput screening of fuel cell catalysts in the 3-4 mg/cm² range. This report lays out hard learned rules for high throughput screening and demonstrates that the array fuel cell can be used for very precise screening of libraries of membrane electrode assembly (MEA) components without the pitfalls discussed in the introduction.     

Discretization of the solutions to Poisson’s equation

Sharp estimates (in the power scale) are obtained for the discretization error in the solutions to Poisson’s equation whose right-hand side belongs to a Korobov class. Compared to the well-known Korobov estimate, the order is almost doubled and has an ultimate value in the power scale.     

Comparison of growth stress measurements with modelling in thin iron oxide films

High temperature oxidation of metals leads to residual stresses both in the metal and in the growing oxide. In this work, the evolution of this residual stresses is theoretically predicted in the growing oxide layers. The origin of these stresses is based on a microstructural model. Using experimental results providing from the oxidation kinetics, and an analysis proposed to describe the growth strain occurring in the thin layers, a set of equations is established allowing determining the stresses evolution with oxidation time. Then, the model is compared with experimental results obtained on both α-Fe and phosphated α-Fe, oxidised at different temperatures. Numerical data are extracted from experiments either with an asymptotic formulation or with an inverse method. These two methods give good agreement with experiments and allow extracting the model parameters.     

基于同步辐射加速器的康普顿背散射γ射线源(Ⅰ)产生MeV量级γ光子的数值计算

提出在筹建的上海同步辐射装置上建造一条MeV量级γ射线束及应用站,采用μm波长的红外(或远红外)激光与储存环中3.5GeV电子束进行康普顿背散射,从而获得能区为1—25MeV的康普顿背散射γ光子束,该光子束具有高强度、高极化度(线和圆极化)、准单色、方向性好的优点,可以广泛地应用于核物理和核天体物理基础研究及相关的应用研究领域.介绍了康普顿背散射的基本原理,并结合储存环参数给出了光子束性能的数值计算结果.     

贝克曼AllegraTM21R型超高速离心机故障排除一例

贝克曼Allegra^TM 21R型超高速离心机开机后，操作面板上出现错误代码“28”，离心机不旋转。离心机的电机采用无刷感应驱动，由电机驱动电源模块BSMl0GD60DN2驱动离心机的电机。故障是由于电源模块BSMl0GD60DN2损坏引起的。采用东芝三相桥式IGBT电源模块MG25Q6ES42代替BSMl0GD60DN2，并更换已烧毁的栅极电阻后。开机试验，仪器恢复正常。     

一种高信噪比的双光束激光光声光谱仪原理及应用

作为一种新兴的检测手段 ,激光光声光谱技术与其他检测技术相比具有很多优点。本文设计的光声光谱仪用激光做光源 ,有两个光声池 ,分别用来放置参考样品和待测样品 ,输出结果为二者光声信号的比值。利用这一比值 ,可以由参考样品的性能参数方便地求出待测样品的相关性能参数。该光声光谱仪有效地减小了本底吸收噪声的影响 ,提高了信噪比 ,扩大了固体光声理论的应用范围。本文还阐述了该光声光谱仪在定性定量分析中的一些应用     

Estimation of integrated volatility in stochastic volatility models

In the framework of stochastic volatility models we examine estimators for the integrated volatility based on the pth power variation (i.e. the sum of pth absolute powers of the log‐returns). We derive consistency and distributional results for the estimators given high‐frequency data, especially taking into account what kind of process we may add to our model without affecting the estimate of the integrated volatility. This may on the one hand be interpreted as a possible flexibility in modelling, for example adding jumps or even leaving the framework of semimartingales by adding a fractional Brownian motion, or on the other hand as robustness against model misspecification. The semi‐iterative method applied to the hyper‐power iteration

The semi‐iterative method (SIM) is applied to the hyper‐power (HP) iteration, and necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the convergence of the semi‐iterative–hyper‐power (SIM–HP) iteration.
