研究光学格子中(即在光传输的横截面上存在周期格子势的调制)光束的演化,利用变分原理,求出了光束宽度、振幅、频率啁啾参量随传播距离的演化形式.发现光束宽度与调制周期的比值必须小于一定的值才能形成孤子的传输;同时,还得到了光束在不同的条件下存在着不同的传输过程.光学格子中周期格子的作用有类似非线性的良好的特性,周期格子的引入提供了可以更好地控制格子孤子的形成和传输的参考条件.  相似文献

The intra-channel collision of optical solitons, with dual-power law nonlinearity, is studied in this paper by the aid of quasi-particle theory. The perturbation terms that are considered in this paper are the nonlinear gain and saturable amplifiers along with filters. The suppression of soliton-soliton interaction, in presence of these perturbation terms, is acheived. The numerical simulations support the quasi-particle theory. We have studied the timing jitter in dispersion-managed soliton systems with a Gaussian pulse by two methods. Firstly, the timing jitter expressions for dispersion-managed soliton are derived by use of the perturbed variational method. By analyzing and simulating the timing jitter expressions, one can find that the timing jitter is induced by the amplifier spontaneous emission noise, the frequency shift, etc. The chirp sign, the soliton self-frequency shift, and the filters action also have effects on the timing jitter. Secondly, the timing jitter is calculated and analyzed by the moment method. The results of the two methods are proved to be consistent.  相似文献

The effect of intrapulse Raman scattering (IRS) for the propagation of the femtosecond solitons in an optical fiber is investigated. To factually simulate its influence, a combination of 27 Lorentian lines to fit experimental Raman gain profile is adopted. By using nonlinear Schrödinger equation and finite-difference time domain method, the propagations of femtosecond fundamental solitons in an optical fiber are numerically calculated. When the initial power is suitably enhanced, it is found that the pulse shape is almost the same as initial pulse and the delay Raman response only makes small pulse shift. In other words, when ultrashort soliton is considered, the IRS effect is similarly frozen under the enhanced initial power.  相似文献

By using φ-mapping topological current theory and gauge potential decomposition, we discuss the self-dual equation and its solution in the SU(N) Dunne-Jackiw-Pi-Trugenberger model and obtain a new concrete self-dual equation with a δ function. For the SU(3) case, we obtain a new self-duality solution and find the relationship between the soliton solution and topological number which is determined by the Hopf index and Brouwer degree of φ-mapping. We use the 1-fold Darboux transformation (DT) of an inhomogeneous nonlinear Schro¨dinger equation (INLSE) to construct the deformed-soliton, breather, and rogue wave solutions explicitly. Furthermore, the obtained first-order deformed rogue wave solution, which is derived from the deformed breather solution through the Taylor expansion, is different from the known rogue wave solution of the nonlinear Schro¨dinger equation (NLSE). The effect of inhomogeneity is fully reflected in the variable height of the deformed soliton and the curved background of the deformed breather and rogue wave. By suitably adjusting the physical parameter, we show that a desired shape of the rogue wave can be generated. In particular, the newly constructed rogue wave can be reduced to the corresponding rogue wave of the nonlinear Schro¨dinger equation under a suitable parametric condition.  相似文献
