Relaxation time for a dimer covering with height representation

This paper considers the Monte Carlo dynamics of random dimer coverings of the square lattice, which can be mapped to a rough interface model. Two kinds of slow modes are identified, associated respectively with long-wavelength fluctuations of the interface height, and with slow drift (in time) of the system-wide mean height. Within a continuum theory, the longest relaxation time for either kind of mode scales as the system sizeN. For the real, discrete model, an exactlower bound ofO(N) is placed on the relaxation time, using variational eigenfunctions corresponding to the two kinds of continuum modes

本文首先说明模糊ＡＨＰ方法是在传统的ＡＨＰ方法的基础上，考虑到人们对复杂事物判断的模糊性，提出程度分析和综合决策理论，并介绍了模糊ＡＨＰ方法的主要理论及步骤。最后把它用于建材连锁配送系统模式的评价，可将专家对诸方案指标体系所进行的带有模糊性判断，通过定量计算，转化为对连锁配送系统模式的排序，从而达到选优的目的。     

Catalytic‐chain‐transfer polymerization of styrene revisited: The importance of monomer purification and polymerization conditions

The cobaloxime‐mediated catalytic‐chain‐transfer polymerization of styrene at 60 °C was studied with an emphasis on the effects of monomer purification and polymerization conditions. Commonly used purification methods, such as column chromatography and simple vacuum distillation, were not adequate for obtaining kinetic data to be used in mechanistic modeling. A purification regime involving inhibitor removal with basic alumina, followed by polymerization of the styrene in the presence of the cobaloxime and subsequent vacuum distillation, was found to be essential to this end. It was then possible to quantitatively investigate effects such as the initiator concentration and conversion dependencies of the apparent chain‐transfer constant that resulted from the occurrence of cobalt–carbon bond formation. A value of about 9 × 10³ was found for the true chain‐transfer constant to cobaloxime boron fluoride, that is, its value in the absence of cobalt–carbon bond formation. Furthermore, previous predictions were confirmed: the measured chain‐transfer constant decreased with increasing initiator concentration and conversion. Finally, it was confirmed that the presence of light increased the amount of free Co(II) catalyst in agreement with other studies. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Typical Changes in Spectral Properties under Perturbations by a Rank-One Operator

We show that under perturbations by a rank-one typical operator, a fixed eigenvalue loses one Jordan block of maximal order, while the orders of the other Jordan blocks remain unchanged. We construct the first-order perturbation theory for the new eigenvalues and the zero-order approximations to the corresponding eigenvectors.     

Derivation of the Hydrodynamic Equations in the Framework of the Bogoliubov Functional Hypothesis

We generalize the Bogoliubov functional hypothesis to the case of multiparticle interaction depending on both the coordinates and momenta of particles. We illustrate this with the examples of two weakly relativistic models: the Darwin model in the theory of charged particles and the Fock model in the general theory of relativity. For these models, based on the chain of the BBGKY equations, we calculate weakly relativistic corrections to the classical transport coefficients and find the conditions under which there is no bijective relation between the parameters of the local equilibrium distribution and the hydrodynamic variables.

介绍国内外连续流动式聚合酶链式反应生物芯片／微装置中脱氧核糖核酸样品的驱碧控制技术进展，主要包括恒流泵（注射泵驱动和蠕动泵驱动）、旋转泵驱动、磁流体动力驱动以及自然对流驱动等。并对这几种驱动方式的优缺点作简要的讨论（引用文献43篇）。     

Synthesis of a thermoresponsive shell‐crosslinked 3‐layer onion‐like polymer particle with a hyperbranched polyglycerol core

A novel thermoresponsive shell crosslinked three‐layer onion‐like polymer particles were prepared using hyperbranched polyglycerol (PG) as parents compound, the periphery hydroxyl groups of PG were transformed into trithiocarbonates (? SC(S)S? ) first; then, it was used as chain transfer agent to prepare star‐like block copolymer of N‐isopropyl acrylamide (NIPA) and N,N‐dimethylaminoethyl acrylate (DMA) in sequence via reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) process. Thus, a three‐layer polymer, PG? [SC(S)S? (DMA)? b? (NIPA)]_n, was obtained. The middle layer of poly(DMA) was then crosslinked with 1,8‐diiodoctane, and the resulting onion‐like three‐layer polymer showed a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) in water because of the outer layer of poly(NIPA). The LCST value only slightly depended on the crosslinking degree. Finally, the ? SC(S)S? were transformed into thiols by sequential treating with sodium borohydride and formic acid; thus, the core molecule was chemically detached from the crosslinked shell and a novel shell crosslinked polymer particle was obtained. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Permanence for non-autonomous food chain systems with delay

In this paper we first establish a new general criterion for the permanence of Kolmogorov-type systems of nonautonomous functional differential equations. Then, as applications of this criterion we study the permanence of a class of n-species general nonautonomous food chain systems with delay and new sufficient condition are established.
