We have investigated temporal behavior of the photoluminescence (PL) spectra of thin films containing CdSe/ZnS quantum dots irradiated by 532 nm laser radiation and gamma-rays. Under ∼100 W/cm2 laser radiation, the PL intensity (IPL) increases with irradiation time upto about 500 s and thereafter declines linearly. The wavelength of the PL emission (λpeak) exhibits a blue-shift with exposure time. Upon simultaneous irradiation by 100 W/cm2 532-nm laser, as well as 0.57 and 1.06 MeV gamma-rays, the temporal behaviors of both IPL and λpeak are significantly different; IPL increases to a saturation level, and the magnitude of the blue-shift in λpeak is reduced. We discuss possible mechanisms underlying these results.  相似文献

A model for the slow, large signal SPV-transient is developed which accounts for carrier trapping to surface states. Both majority and minority carrier processes are included. SPV-transients are measured from various epiready n+-GaAs wafers using Kelvin probe. Typically the transients take place in 1-1000 s time scale. By fitting the model with experimental results trapping parameters, i.e. surface potential barrier height, energy and density of surface states and electron and hole capture cross-sections are determined.  相似文献

The spontaneous evolution from ultracold Rydberg atoms to plasma is investigated in a caesium MOT by using the method of field ionization. The plasma transferred from atoms in different Rydberg states (n = 22-32) are obtained experimentally. Dependence of the threshold time of evolving to plasma and the threshold number of initial Rydberg atoms on the principal quantum number of initial Rydberg states is studied. The experimental results are in agreement with hot-cold Rydberg-Rydberg atom collision ionization theory.  相似文献

We use the Pair Approximation method to analyze the magnetic and magnetocaloric behaviors of diluted mixed spin ${\rm S_A}$=1 and spin ${\rm S_B}$=1/2 with the anisotropic Heisenberg model, on a cubic lattice with coordination number $z$=6. Our system is described in presence of an external magnetic field; the phase diagram and thermodynamic properties related to the concentration of magnetic atom (A or B) and the single ion anisotropy are constructed and discussed. Special attention is paid to magnetocaloric properties provided by isothermal entropy change as well as the cooling capacity. These cooling power keys are plotted and discussed as a function of interaction anisotropy and magnetic component concentration of two sublattices ions A and B. Numerical results show a double peak structure in the entropy change curve and the inverse magnetocaloric effect related to the presence of the negative single-ion anisotropy.  相似文献

Visible light from an argon ion laser (514.5 nm, 3 W/cm2) is seen to increase oxygen chemisorption on cleaved GaAs(110) surfaces up to a final coverage between one and two monolayers. Using photoemission spectroscopy to measure the oxygen coverage after simultaneous exposure of the surface to oxygen and light, we have determined that oxygen uptake for photoenhanced exposures is independent of sample temperature and doping type. In addition, significantly less enhancement is seen for weakly bound oxidizing molecules (N2O) relative to the effects with molecular oxygen. These results are explained by a photoenhancement mechanism in which energy is released in a surface recombination event, possibly in the form of nonthermal phonons, causing physisorbed gas molecules to dissociate and thereby overcoming a major rate limiting step of the reaction in the dark. This reaction mechanism is supported by calculations of the surface recombination rates and free carrier densities at the surface which show that only the recombination rate is correlated with enhanced oxygen uptake. Other mechanisms and experimental data are also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we study irregular hypergeometric systems defined by one row. Specifically, we calculate slopes of such systems. In the case of reduced semigroups, we generalize the case studied by Castro and Takayama. In all the cases we find that there always exists a slope with respect to a hyperplane of this system. Only in the case of an irregular system defined by a integer matrix we might need a change of coordinates to study slopes at infinity. In the other cases slopes are always at the origin, defined with respect to a hyperplane. We also compute all the -characteristic varieties of the system, so we have a section of the Gröbner fan of the module defined by the hypergeometric system.
