A novel approach of using harmonic balance (HB) method is presented to find front, soliton and hole solutions of a modified complex Ginzburg-Landau equation. Three families of exact solutions are obtained, one of which contains two parameters while the others one parameter. The HB method is an efficient technique in finding limit cycles of dynamical systems. In this paper, the method is extended to obtain homoclinic/heteroclinic orbits and then coherent structures. It provides a systematic approach as various methods may be needed to obtain these families of solutions. As limit cycles with arbitrary value of bifurcation parameter can be found through parametric continuation, this approach can be extended further to find analytic solution of complex quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation in terms of Fourier series. 相似文献

Ginzburg-Landau theory for studying phase transitions of higher order has been derived using coarse graining and lattice formulation within Ehrenfest thermodynamics. Our developed Hamiltonian leads directly to the functional of the system. We studied the evolution of the order parameter using our developed model equations for third and fourth order phase transitions. The periodic nature of the system can be likened to spatially varying periodic soliton/antisoliton lattice of holes in condensate. 在二维复金兹堡-朗道方程描述的反应扩散振荡系统中,就扩散对平面波折射率的影响进行了数值研究,从Snell定律出发导出了折射率的解析表达式,数值和理论结果表明:在纯扩散情况下,平面波的折射满足Snell折射定律,扩散只影响着平面波折射率的大小;在同时存在反应扩散情况下,只有在适当的扩散系数和系统参数下,平面波的折射才满足Snell折射定律.这些结果表明扩散系数对折射规律和折射率都有影响.

We present a pathfollowing strategy based on pseudo-arclength parametrization for the solution of parameter-dependent boundary value problems for ordinary differential equations. We formulate criteria which ensure the successful application of this method for the computation of solution branches with turning points for problems with an essential singularity. The advantages of our approach result from the possibility to use efficient mesh selection, and a favorable conditioning even for problems posed on a semi-infinite interval and subsequently transformed to an essentially singular problem. This is demonstrated by a Matlab implementation of the solution method based on an adaptive collocation scheme which is well suited to solve problems of practical relevance. As one example, we compute solution branches for the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation which start from non-monotone ‘multi-bump’ solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Following the branches around turning points, real-valued solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation can easily be computed. 相似文献

Within the framework of Ginzburg–Landau theory, the effect of multiplicity correlation between the dynamical multiplicity fluctuations is analyzed for a first-order phase transition from quark–gluon plasma to hadrons.Normalized factorial correlators are used to study the correlated dynamical fluctuations. A scaling behavior is found among the factorial correlators, and an approximate universal exponent, which is weakly dependent on the details of the phase transition, is obtained. 相似文献
