Nonlinear optical material of L‐alaninium oxalate (LAO) has been synthesized and single crystals are grown by slow evaporation technique. The solubility data of LAO is determined in water. Single crystal X‐ray diffraction study showed that LAO belongs to orthorhombic system with a non‐centrosymmetric space‐group P212121. The functional groups have been identified from FT‐IR spectrum. The UV‐Vis‐NIR spectrum of LAO shows less optical absorption in the entire visible region. The second harmonic generation (SHG) in the material was estimated using Nd:YAG laser. The mechanical properties of the grown crystals are studied using Vickers microhardness tester. The glow discharge in pure helium at atmospheric pressure, controlled by a dielectric barrier between coaxial electrodes, is investigated based on a one-dimensional self-consistent fluid model. By solving the continuity equations for electrons, ions, and excited atoms, with the current conservation equation and the electric field profile, the time evolution of the discharge current, gas voltage and the surface density of charged particles on the dielectric barrier are calculated. The simulation results show that the peak values of the discharge current, gas voltage and electric field in the first half period are asymmetric to the second half. When the current reaches its positive or negative maximum, the electric field profile, and the electron and ion densities represent similar properties to the typical glow discharge at low pressures. Obviously there exist a cathode fall, a negative glow region, and a positive column. Effects of the barrier position in between the two coaxial electrodes and the discharge gap width on discharge current characteristics are also analysed. The result indicates that, in the case when the dielectric covering the outer electrode only, the gas is punctured earlier during the former half period and later during the latter half period than other cases, also the current peak value is higher, and the difference of pulse width between the two half periods is more obvious. On reducing the gap width, the multiple current pulse discharge happens.  相似文献

A method for determining effective dielectric responses of Kerr-like coated nonlinear composites under the alternating current (AC) electric field is proposed by using perturbation approach. As an example, we have investigated the composite with coated cylindrical inclusions randomly embedded in a host under an external sinusoidal field with finite frequency ω. The local field and potential of composites in general consists of components with all harmonic frequencies. The effective nonlinear AC responses at all harmonics are induced by the coated nonlinear composites because of the nonlinear constitutive relation. Moreover, we have derived the formulae of effective nonlinear AC responses at the fundamental frequency and the third harmonic in the dilute limit.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the instability of the interface between two superposed streaming conducting and dielectric fluids of finite depths through porous medium in a vertical electric field varying periodically with time. A damped Mathieu equation with complex coefficients is obtained. The method of multiple scales is used to obtain an approximate solution of this equation, and then to analyze the stability criteria of the system. We distinguish between the non-resonance case, and the resonance case, respectively. It is found, in the first case, that both the porosity of porous medium, and the kinematic viscosities have stabilizing effects, and the medium permeability has a destabilizing effect on the system. While in the second case, it is found that each of the frequency of the electric field, and the fluid velocities, as well as the medium permeability, has a stabilizing effect, and decreases the value of the resonance point, while each of the porosity of the porous medium, and the kinematic viscosities has a destabilizing effect, and increases the value of the resonance point. In the absence of both streaming velocities and porous medium, we obtain the canonical form of the Mathieu equation. It is found that the fluid depth and the surface tension have a destabilizing effect on the system. This instability sets in for any value of the fluid depth, and by increasing the depth, the instability holds for higher values of the electric potential; while the surface tension has no effect on the instability region for small wavenumber values. Finally, the case of a steady electric field in the presence of a porous medium is also investigated, and the stability conditions show that each of the fluid depths and the porosity of the porous medium ɛ has a destabilizing effect, while the fluid velocities have stabilizing effect. The stability conditions for two limiting cases of interest, the case of purely fluids), and the case of absence of streaming, are also obtained and discussed in detail.  相似文献

A series of Ba1-xSrxTi1-yMyO3 (M=Zr,Sn, 0≤ x≤ 0.5,0≤ y≤ 0.3) solid solutions were synthesized by chemical method at below 100℃ . XRD and cell parameters component figures of the series of the solid solutions powder demonstrated that the compounds are mutually miscible in the solid solutions. The particls size is about 70nm with spherical shape and uniform distribution. The result of preparing ceramics showed that after adulterating with Sr2+ and Zr4+ or Sn4+ in pure BaTiO3 phase, the dielectric constant increased eight times while the dielectric loss decreased three times at room temperature.  相似文献

Based on the known reflection spectra of three different specimens, a complete set of fundamental optical functions of a diamond in the region 4–32 eV is calculated. An analysis of the specific features of the diamond is given. For the first time the dielectric function has been resolved into 13 components by the Argand diagram method. For each component, three basic parameters have been established (the energy of the maximum, the band half-width, and the oscillator strength). On the basis of the well-known theoretical calculations carried out for the zones of the diamond, a general model of the nature of these components is suggested. Summary: Polyimide‐mica hybrid films were prepared via ultrasonic dispersion and in situ polymerization process from a solution of a polyimide precursor and mica in N,N‐dimethylacetamide, and their structure was characterized by FTIR and XRD techniques. The dependence of dielectric properties, such as dielectric constant and electrical breakdown strength, of the hybrid films on the content of mica was studied at room and cryogenic temperatures. The results show that the dielectric constant of PI‐mica hybrid films decreases with the increase of the mica content at temperatures from −150 to 150 °C and at frequency range from 1 kHz to 1 MHz. It was found that the cryogenic electrical breakdown strength of the PI‐mica hybrid films could meet the requirements of cryogenic insulating materials.

In this article, a structure that employs a Faraday shield between the Shoji antenna and the dielectric tube, which aims to reduce the dielectric wall sputtering, is investigated for the helicon wave plasma (HWP) sources. Faraday shield is usually used between the antenna and the reaction chamber to reduce the radiation from the high electromagnetic field generation, as well as to prevent the sputtering of the antenna material from polluting the reaction chamber during the discharge. Here, the influence of the Faraday shield on the longitudinal and radial electric field of the antenna is analysed through COMSOL MultiphysicsTM. Significant attenuations of both the longitudinal and radial fields are observed in the presence of the shield. In addition, by comparing the electric field distribution under two different shielding parameters, it is found that the shielding effects are not the same. Therefore, a detailed study of two kinds of design (pitch and gap) for the shield was carried out. The results show that the pitch has a little impact on the overall shielding effect when the gap is unaltered. The best shielding performance appears when we set the pitch at T of 8 and 10. In addition, the shielding effect also becomes worse as the gap increases while the pitch remains unchanged. A relatively good shielding effect can be produced by setting the gap to the value of 4–8 mm (a gap/pitch ratio of 2/15–4/15). This work provides a theoretical basis for designing a Faraday shield structure between the antenna and the dielectric tube, which is helpful to realize stable and controllable HWP discharges.  相似文献
