A charged dielectric generates a series of discharges in the surrounding air when the pressure is steadily reduced from near atmospheric to fractions of a torr. The dielectrics here employed were Mylar and Teflon. With positive polarity different discharge regimes were observed as the pressure varied: spark and long streamers at relatively high pressure; diffuse cloud-like discharges below 266 Pa (2 torr). With negative polarity it is difficult to induce a discharge, due to the absence of an electron-emitting surface. Similarities between our results and some of the features of mesospheric and stratospheric discharges are discussed. 相似文献
The excitons in the orthorhombic phase of the perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 are studied using the effective mass approximation. The electron–hole interaction is screened by a distance‐dependent dielectric function, as described by the Haken potential or the Pollmann–Büttner potential. The energy spectrum and the eigenfunctions are calculated for both cases. The results show that the Pollmann–Büttner model, using the corresponding parameters obtained from ab initio calculations, provides better agreement with the experimental results.
Zirconium oxide nanoparticle (ZrO2) is synthesized by the hydrothermal method at different calcination temperatures. The structural analysis is carried out by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectra. The sample prepared at 400 °C and 1100 °C showed the cubic and monoclinic phase, respectively, and the sample calcined at 600 °C and 800 °C showed the mixed phase with co-existence of cubic and monoclinic phases. Furthermore, the morphology and particle size of these samples were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) analysis. The band gap estimated from UV–Vis spectra of ZrO2 (zirconia) nanocrystalline materials calcined at different temperatures from 400 °C to 1100 °C was in the range of 2.6–4.2 eV. The frequency dependence of dielectric constant and dielectric loss was investigated at room temperature. The low frequency region of dielectric constant is attributed to space charge effects. 相似文献
