Silicone rubber samples with gradually changing pore sizes within the range of 70–610 μm are produced using an improved spacer method. The samples are scanned using an X‐ray computed tomography to evaluate their graded structure as compared to uniform rubber. A compressive test reveals that graded porous silicone rubber has characteristic stress–strain curves whose slope changes within a specific strain range depending on the porous structure. Analysis results of local strain based on a digital image correlation of the graded porous silicone rubber under compression demonstrate that the characteristic stress–strain properties are caused by shifts in the main deformation region in the graded structure. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Abstract

This article contains the nonlocal elasticity theory to capture size effects in functionally graded (FG) nano-rod under magnetic field supported by a torsional foundation. Torque effect of an axial magnetic field on an FG nano-rod has been defined using Maxwell’s relation. The material properties were assumed to vary according to the power law in radial direction. The Navier equation and boundary conditions of the size-dependent FG nano-rod were derived by the Hamilton’s principle. These equations were solved by employing the generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM). Presented model has the ability to turn into the classical model if the material length scale parameter is taken to be zero. The effects of some parameters, such as inhomogeneity constant, magnetic field and small-scale parameter, were studied. As an important result of this study can be stated that an FG nano-rod model based on the nonlocal elasticity theory behaves softer and has smaller natural frequency.  相似文献

We find the Frobenius number F(d 3), the genus G(d 3), and the Hilbert series H(d 3;z) of a graded subring for nonsymmetric and symmetric semigroups and enhance the lower bounds of F(d 3) for symmetric and nonsymmetric semigroups.   相似文献

The h-version of the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method(h-DGFEM) for nearly incompressible linear elasticity problemsin polygons is analysed. It is proved that the scheme is robust(locking-free) with respect to volume locking, even in the absenceof H2-regularity of the solution. Furthermore, it is shown thatan appropriate choice of the finite element meshes leads torobust and optimal algebraic convergence rates of the DGFEMeven if the exact solutions do not belong to H2.  相似文献

Denote by DGL n np , n≥1, the category of (n-1)-connected np-dimensional differential graded free Lie algebras over R. In [1] D. Anick has shown that there is a reasonable concept of homotopy in the category DGL n np . In this work we intend to answer the following two questions: Given an object (L(V), ?) in DGL n 3n+2 and denote by S(L(V), ?) the class of objects homotopy equivalent to (L(V), ?). How we can characterize a free dgl to belong to S(L(V), ?)? Fix an object (L(V), ?) in DGL n 3n+2 . How many homotopy equivalence classes of objects (L(W), δ) in DGL n 3n+2 such that H * (W, d′)?H * (V, d) are there? Note that DGL n 3n+2 is a subcategory of DGL n np when p>3. The nonlinear vibration responses of functionally graded materials (FGMs) shells with different cone angles under external loads were studied. Firstly, the Voigt model was employed to describe the physical properties along the thickness direction of FGMs conical shells. Then, the motion equations were derived based on the 1st-order shear deformation theory, the von Kármán geometric nonlinearity and Hamilton’s principle. Next, the Galerkin method was applied to discretize the motion equations and the governing equations were simplified into a 1DOF nonlinear vibration differential equation under Volmir’s assumption. Finally, the nonlinear motion equations were solved with the harmonic balance method and the Runge-Kutta method, and the amplitude frequency response characteristic curves of the FGMs conical shells were obtained. The effects of different material distribution functions and different ceramic volume fraction exponents on the amplitude frequency response curves of conical shells were discussed. The bifurcation diagrams of conical shells with different cone angles, as well as time process diagrams and phase diagrams for different excitation amplitudes, were described. The motion characteristics were characterized by Poincaré maps. The results show that, the FGMs conical shells present the nonlinear characteristics of hardening springs. The chaotic motions of the FGMs conical shells are restrained and not prone to motion instability with the increase of the cone angle. The FGMs conical shell present a process from the periodic motion to the multi-periodic motion and then to chaos with the increase of the excitation amplitude. © 2022 Editorial Office of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. The present paper, though inspired by the use of tensor hierarchies in theoretical physics, establishes their mathematical credentials, especially as genetically related to Lie algebra crossed modules. Gauging procedures in supergravity rely on a pairing – the embedding tensor – between a Leibniz algebra and a Lie algebra. Two such algebras, together with their embedding tensor, form a triple called a Lie-Leibniz triple, of which Lie algebra crossed modules are particular cases. This paper is devoted to showing that any Lie-Leibniz triple induces a differential graded Lie algebra – its associated tensor hierarchy – whose restriction to the category of Lie algebra crossed modules is the canonical assignment associating to any Lie algebra crossed module its corresponding unique 2-term differential graded Lie algebra. This shows that Lie-Leibniz triples form natural generalizations of Lie algebra crossed modules and that their associated tensor hierarchies can be considered as some kind of ‘lie-ization’ of the former. We deem the present construction of such tensor hierarchies clearer and more straightforward than previous derivations. We stress that such a construction suggests the existence of further well-defined Leibniz gauge theories.  相似文献

One of the standard axioms for semiorders states that no three-point chain is incomparable to a fourth point. We refer to asymmetric relations satisfying this axiom as almost connected orders or ac-orders. It turns out that any relation lying between two weak orders, one of which covers the other for inclusion, is an ac-order (albeit of a special kind). Every ac-order is bracketed in a natural way by two weak orders, one the maximum in the set of weak orders included in the ac-order, and the other minimal, but not necessarily the minimum, in the set of weak orders that include the ac-order. The family of ac-orders on a finite set with at least five elements is not well graded (in the sense of Doignon and Falmagne, 1997). However, such a family is both upgradable and downgradable, as every nonempty ac-order contains a pair whose deletion defines an ac-order on the same set, and for every ac-order which is not a chain, there is a pair whose addition gives an ac-order.  相似文献

采用粉末冶金方法,制备出波阻抗沿厚度方向呈特定分布的WMoTi体系梯度飞片,在二级轻气炮上进行了梯度飞片击靶实验的初步研究.结果表明,利用梯度飞片可以实现对靶样品的准等熵压缩,击靶后产生的波阵面是平缓、连续上升的,明显不同于冲击压缩的陡峭波阵面,靶面压力峰值最高达到了167GPa.波阻抗按二次函数分布的梯度飞片能够获得最佳的击靶波形 关键词: 波阻抗梯度飞片 准等熵压缩  相似文献
