Temperature dependence of the IR spectra of crystalline propionic acid were examined in the temperature range 242–50 K. The intensities of most absorption bands increased on lowering the temperature, but some bands diminished until they disappeared at temperatures lower than about 120 K. Normal coordinate analyses indicate that the former bands are due to the stable cis dimer and the latter due to the less stable trans dimer which would be produced from the cis dimer by simultaneous proton transfer along two hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Band structure calculations at the level of LMTO-ASA provide insight into the electronic structure of BaV10O15 and the origin of the structural phase transition. A crystal orbital Hamiltonian population/integrated crystal orbital Hamiltonian population analysis provides evidence that the crystallographic phase transition is driven by V-V bond formation. As well, the energy bands near the Fermi level are very narrow, <1 eV, consistent with the fact that the observed insulating behavior can be due to electron localization via either Mott-Hubbard correlation and/or Anderson disorder. The partial solid solution, BaV10−xTixO15, was examined to study the effect of Ti-doping at the V sites on the structure and electronic transport properties. In spite of the non-existence of “BaTi10O15”, the limiting x=8, as indicated by a monotonic increase in the cell volume and systematic changes in properties. This limit may be due to the difficulty of stabilizing Ti2+ in this structure. For x=0.5 both the first order structural phase transition and the magnetic transition at 40 K are quenched. The samples obey the Curie-Weiss law to x=3 with nearly spin only effective moments along with θ values which range from −1090 K (x=0.5) to −1629 K (x=3). For x>3 a very large, ∼2×10−3 emu/mol, temperature independent (TIP) contribution dominates. Conductivity measurements on sintered, polycrystalline samples show semiconducting behavior for all compositions. Activation energies for Mott hopping derived from high temperature data range from ∼0.1 eV for x=0-1 and fall to a plateau of 0.06 eV for x=3-7. Low temperature data for x=3, 5 and 7 show evidence for Mott variable range hoping (VRH) with a T1/4 law and in one case between 5 and 17 K, a Efros-Shklovskii correlated hopping, T1/2 law, was seen, in sharp contrast to BaV10O15 where only the E-S law was observed up to 75 K. Seebeck coefficients are small (<35 μV/K), positive, roughly TIP and increase with increasing x up to x=5. This may point to a Heikes hopping of holes but a simple single carrier model is impossible. The compositions for x>3 are remarkable in that local moment behavior is lost, yet a metallic state is not reached. The failure of this system to be driven metallic even at such high doping levels is not fully understood but it seems clear that disorder induced carrier localization plays a major role.  相似文献

A series of previously unknown unsymmetrical difluoroaromatic compounds, viz., p-fluorobenzoylphenyl(p-fluorophenyl)-substituted imidazoles, pyrazines, and quinoxalines, were synthesized according to multistep procedures with the use of chloral as the key compound. The reactivities of the resulting difluoroaromatic compounds were estimated based on 19F and 13C NMR spectral data and the results of quantum-chemical calculations. The calculated charge densities on the Cipso atoms correlate linearly with the experimental chemical shifts in the 19F and 13C NMR spectra. Difluoroaromatic compounds, which are characterized by F > –110 and C > 163 and by the charge density on the Cipso atom higher than 0.08 e, are sufficiently activated to be used for the preparation of high-molecular-weight polyethers.  相似文献

Triorganotin(IV) chlorides containing one LCN chelating ligand were hydrolyzed with an excess of sodium hydroxide. The composition of the products is strongly dependent on the nature of the organic groups bound to the tin atom. Di(n-butyl)tin, dimethyltin as well as the diphenyl derivative exhibits an equilibrium between hydroxide and stannoxane forms (oxide), whereas alkyltin species react spontaneously and reversibly with carbon dioxide present in the air to form carbonate species. On the other hand, diphenyl derivatives display virtually no reaction with CO2 towards carbonates, while the di-t-butyl-substituted tin derivative is stable under the same experimental condition and remains as a tin hydroxide. In the case of the dimethyltin derivative, a methyl group migration was observed with displacement of one LCN chelating ligand during the reaction on the air. The coordination geometry of the tin central atom(s) of all studied compounds can be described as trigonal bipyramidal with a dative bonded dimethylamino group occupying one coordination site. The catalytic activity of these compounds in transesterification reactions is generally lower compared to the systems reported in the literature, with the exception of the transesterification of ethyl acetate by cyclohexanol which displays a remarkable activity.  相似文献

Stable monolayers of electropolymerized poly-N-vinylcarbazole (EPVK) and arachidic acid(AA) are obtained on a subphase of alkaline Tl2O3 colloidal solutions. As revealed by the atomic force microscope, there is phase separation in the mixed LB monolayers. Transmission electron microscopic observations reveal that ordered arrays of composite Tl2O3/Epvk nanowires are formed in the mixed monolayers. Formation of the composite nanowire arrays is attributed to the ordered adsorption of Tl2O3 colloidal particles along the polycationic EPVK chains. The composite nanowire array is 3.2nm wide with a spacing of 2.7nm.The composite nanowire arrays can also be formed when pure EPVK is used. Composite LB multilayers of Tl2O3/EPVK nanowire arrays are prepared. The bilayer spacing is 5.54nm.The present study is of importance to the fabrication of inorganic semiconductor/functional polymer composite nanowires.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to summarize the original results concerned with the elucidation of the role of water environment in the formation of different structures of polyribocytidylic acid (poly(rC)), depending on the pH, temperature and ion content. To solve this problem, we studied the hydration of poly(rC)-K+ in films differing in water content, by methods of infrared spectroscopy and piezogravimetry, and in solution, using the dielectric measurements at a wavelength of 7.6 mm (extremely high frequencies — EHF). The experimental results were confirmed by a Monte Carlo simulation of the interaction between water molecules and single-strand and double-strand poly(rC) fragments in clusters of 800 water molecules. A model of hydration of double-strand complex of poly(rC)+-poly(rC) has been proposed based on our results and the known X-ray parameters of the complex. The obtained results and proposed structure of poly(rC)+-poly(rC) suggest that, the stabilization of this complex occurs due to intra- and inter-chain water bridges, together with the hydrogen bonds between neutral and protonated cytosines in pairs.  相似文献

In our former investigations, the phenomenon high temperature corrosion (HTC) was described exemplarily on selected materialcoating combinations for blades of stationary gas turbines, mainly in the temperature region of up to 750° C. To answer the question, in which manner higher gas inlet and/or higher material surface temperature would influence the HTC behaviour, a special analytical technique—the integral layer profile analysis—was introduced to ameliorate concentration profile methods. By examining IN 738 LC specimens with CoCrAlY plasma spray coating, stressed by hot gas at 900° C, the limits of this system are shown by explaining the corrosion mechanism; the method is also used for other systems, e.g. U 520 with NiCrAlY coating at 750° C.  相似文献

The effects of the composition of MnII, CoII or NiII nitrate hydrate — acrylamide (AAM) mixtures and of the duration of their aging at ambient temperature on the structurization of acrylamide complexes and on the character of their thermal polymerization have been studied by scanning and isothermic differential calorimetry. Structurization is a rather prolonged step in the synthesis of acrylamide complexes. The peculiarities and rate of this step are determined by the composition of the mixture and by the nature of the complexforming compound; it yields several structural modifications of the AAM complexes. The thermal polymerization of those structural forms of acrylamide complexes that polymerize at low temperatures may be formally described as polymerization in an acrylamide-nitrate-water mixture.
