Numerical method and models for anti-plane strain of a system with a thin elastic wedge

The paper presents a general method to find asymptotics for a (multi-)wedge system containing a thin wedge. It employs separation of the symmetric and anti-symmetric parts of the boundary displacements and tractions of the wedge. The method is applicable when the angle of the thin wedge turns to zero. A physical interpretation of the derived equations is obtained by using power expansions of non-polynomial functions, which appear after the Mellin transform. We establish that the first term in the expansion of the symmetric part corresponds to shear, while the first term of the anti-symmetric part describes deflection of the wedge axis. Numerical experiments, performed by using a code developed on the basis of the theory, show that using only the first terms of the expansions insignificantly influence accuracy: the approximate results coincide with the exact values of roots to the third significant digit even for the wedge angle of 30°.     

Covering group and graph of discretized volumes

We consider a discretized volume V consisting of finite, congruent and attached copies of a tile t. We find a group L _V the orbit of which, when applied to t, is just V. We show the connection between the structural matrixQ in the formal solution of a boundary value problem formulated for volume V and the so called auxiliary matrix of the graph Γ _v associated with V. We show boundary value problems to be isomorphic if the graphs associated with the volumes are isomorphic, or, if the covering groups are Sunada pairs.

对理想流体一维绝热稳定流动作了讨论．对一般理想流体(可压缩或不可压缩)，用两种方法推出了能量方程．在此基础上，讨论了流动可逆性及不同流体性质对流动参数的影响．

本文研究了三维Minkowski空间中直线汇的一些性质,特别是关于类时线汇的性质．讨论了线汇基本元素的存在性,并证明了关于三维Minkowski空间中类时线汇的配分参数的一个结果,推广了苏步青1927年的—个成果．     

A class of polynomial variable metric algorithms for linear optimization

In the paper, the behaviour of interior point algorithms is analyzed by using a variable metric method approach. A class of polynomial variable metric algorithms is given achieving O ((n/β)L) iterations for solving a canonical form linear optimization problem with respect to a wide class of Riemannian metrics, wheren is the number of dimensions and β a fixed value. It is shown that the vector fields of several interior point algorithms for linear optimization is the negative Riemannian gradient vector field of a linear a potential or a logarithmic barrier function for suitable Riemannian metrics.
