We study the approximation of a multiscale reaction–diffusion system posed on both macroscopic and microscopic space scales. The coupling between the scales is done through micro–macro flux conditions. Our target system has a typical structure for reaction–diffusion flow problems in media with distributed microstructures (also called, double porosity materials). Besides ensuring basic estimates for the convergence of two-scale semi-discrete Galerkin approximations, we provide a set of a priori feedback estimates and a local feedback error estimator that help in designing a distributed-high-errors strategy to allow for a computationally e?cient zooming in and out from microscopic structures. The error control on the feedback estimates relies on two-scale-energy, regularity, and interpolation estimates as well as on a fine bookeeping of the sources responsible with the propagation of the (multiscale) approximation errors. The working technique based on a priori feedback estimates is in principle applicable to a large class of systems of PDEs with dual structure admitting strong solutions.  相似文献

Nonlinear filter generators are commonly used as keystream generators in stream ciphers. A nonlinear filter generator utilizes a nonlinear filtering function to combine the outputs of a linear feedback shift register (LFSR) to improve the linear complexity of keystream sequences. However, the LFSR-based stream ciphers are still potentially vulnerable to algebraic attacks that recover the key from some keystream bits. Although the known algebraic attacks only require polynomial time complexity of computations, all have their own constraints. This paper uses the linearization of nonlinear filter generators to cryptanalyze LFSR-based stream ciphers. Such a method works for any nonlinear filter generators. Viewing a nonlinear filter generator as a Boolean network that evolves as an automaton through Boolean functions, we first give its linearization representation. Compared to the linearization representation in Limniotis et al. (2008), this representation requires lower spatial complexity of computations in most cases. Based on the representation, the key recoverability is analyzed via the observability of Boolean networks. An algorithm for key recovery is given as well. Compared to the exhaustive search to recover the key, using this linearization representation requires lower time complexity of computations, though it leads to exponential time complexity.  相似文献

We consider a two-component reaction-diffusion system with a nonlocal reaction term. A necessary condition and a sufficient condition for the internal stabilizability to zero of one of the two components of the solution while preserving the nonnegativity of both components have been established in [6 S. The rate of stabilization (for the indicated feedback control) is given by the principal eigenvalue of a certain non-selfadjoint operator. A large principal eigenvalue leads to a fast stabilization. The first main goal of this article is to approximate this principal eigenvalue. This is done in two steps. First, we investigate the large-time behavior of the solution to a logistic population dynamics with migration, and next we derive as a consequence a method to approximate the principal eigenvalue. The other main goal is to derive a conceptual iterative algorithm to improve the position of the support of the control in order to get a faster stabilization. Our results apply to prey-predator systems.  相似文献

We present an extension from two dimensions to three dimensions of a boundary control law, which stabilizes the parabolic profile of an infinite channel flow. This note is concerned with the regularity of solutions of algebraic Riccati equations arising from infinite dimensional LQR control problems. We show that distributed parameter systems described by certain parabolic partial differential equations often have a special structure that smooths solutions of the corresponding Riccati equation. This analysis is motivated by the need to find specific representations for Riccati operators that can be used in the development of computational schemes for problems where the input and output operators are not Hilbert-Schmidt. This situation occurs in many boundary control problems and in certain distributed control problems associated with optimal sensor/actuator placement.  相似文献

We consider a resource management problem in which the management objective is to minimize fluctuations in resource stocks. Stabilizing management policies constitute the designing of memoryless state feedback control strategies for a discrete time resource model which contains unknown but bounded fluctuations. For an innovative product characterized by short product lifecycle and high demand uncertainty, investment in capacity buildup has to be done cautiously. Otherwise either the product’s market diffusion is impeded or the manufacturer is left with unutilized capacity. Using the right information for making capacity augmentation decisions is critical in facing this challenge. In this paper, we propose a method for identifying critical information flows using the system dynamics model of a two-echelon supply chain. The fundamental premise of system dynamics methodology is that (system) structure determines (its) behavior. Using loop dominance analysis method we study the feedback loop structure of the supply chain system. The outcome is a set of dominant loops that determine the dynamics of capacity growth. It is revealed that the delivery delay information has little effect while the loop that connects retail sales with production order affects the dynamics significantly. Modifying this loop yields appropriate capacity augmentation decisions resulting in higher performance. What-if analyses bring out effects of modifying other structural elements. In conclusion, we claim that the information feedback based methodology is general enough to be useful in designing decision support systems for capacity augmentation. The limitations of the model are also discussed and possible extensions identified.  相似文献

Equilibria in dynamic games are formulated often under the assumption that the players have full knowledge of the dynamics to which they are subject. Here, we formulate equilibria in which players are looking for robustness and take model uncertainty explicitly into account in their decisions. Specifically, we consider feedback Nash equilibria in indefinite linear-quadratic differential games on an infinite time horizon. Model uncertainty is represented by a malevolent input which is subject to a cost penalty or to a direct bound. We derive conditions for the existence of robust equilibria in terms of solutions of sets of algebraic Riccati equations.  相似文献

In an evidential reasoning context, a group consensus (GC) based approach can model multiple attributive group decision analysis problems with GC requirements. The predefined GC is reached through several rounds of group analysis and discussion (GAD) in the approach. However, the GAD with no guidance may not be the most appropriate way to reach the predefined GC because several rounds of GAD will spend a lot of time of all experts and yet cannot help them to effectively emphasize on the assessments which primarily damage the GC. In this paper, an attribute weight based feedback model is constructed to effectively identify the assessments primarily damaging the GC and accelerate the GC convergence. Considering important attributes with the weights more than or at least equal to the mean of the weights of all attributes, the feedback model constructs identification rules to identify the assessments damaging the GC for the experts to renew. In addition, a suggestion rule is introduced to generate appropriate recommendations for the experts to renew their identified assessments. The identification rules are constructed at three levels including the attribute, alternative and global levels. The feedback model is used to solve an engineering project management software selection problem to demonstrate its detailed implementation process, its validity and applicability, and its advantages compared with the GC based approach.  相似文献
