新型极化聚合物薄膜电光调制器研究   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
用对硝基偶氮苯类为侧链的键合型聚合物,采用高温电晕极化的方法制作电光薄膜,设计并构造极化聚合物薄膜电光调制器。当通光方向和极化方向平行并且垂直于极化聚合物薄膜的表面时,利用法布里-帕罗(F-P)腔中多光束干涉,可以把通过的光由位相调制转化为强度调制,有利于电光调制器的小型化和高速封装。用这种聚合物薄膜电光调制器测量了锢锡氧化物共面波导上的电信号,并对系统的工作原理进行了分析。实验结果表明,薄膜调制器具有线性电光效应;当F-P腔的精细因子为20(为1.3μm的光),调制电场为1V/μm时,研制的极化聚合物电光调制器的调制深度可达到0.01%。  相似文献

Applying a molecular dynamics simulation technique with the Tersoff potential, we investigate the isothermal crystallization processes of amorphous silicon (a-Si). To obtain a realistic amorphous structure, a rapid quenching process from liquid-phase at 3500 K to solid-phase at 500 K is simulated at a rate of 1012 K/s and the Voronoi analysis is conducted to observe atomic structural changes during this cooling process. This amorphous structure is utilized to simulate the crystallization processes at various process temperatures with and without external force fields. While homogeneous crystallization of a-Si could not be achieved readily, it is shown that the heterogeneous crystallization can be significantly accelerated by external force fields. This enhancement is owing to increased molecular jumping frequencies associated with the molecular potential energies being increased by external excitations, rather than due to thermal mechanisms normally found in conventional solid-phase crystallization processes.  相似文献

A novel implicit cell‐vertex finite volume method is described for the solution of the Navier–Stokes equations at high Reynolds numbers. The key idea is the elimination of the pressure term from the momentum equation by multiplying the momentum equation with the unit normal vector to a control volume boundary and integrating thereafter around this boundary. The resulting equations are expressed solely in terms of the velocity components. Thus any difficulties with pressure or vorticity boundary conditions are circumvented and the number of primary variables that need to be determined equals the number of space dimensions. The method is applied to both the steady and unsteady two‐dimensional lid‐driven cavity problem at Reynolds numbers up to 10000. This paper presents a tunable hybrid brillouin-erbium fiber laser system with a maximum tuning range of more than 36.7 nm. The system was configured in a ring set-up with another fiber laser used as the brillouin pump at about 8 mW maximum launched power. Stable Stokes signals at an average of about 0.08 nm wavelength shift were observed across the tuning range. The dependency of the Stokes signal tuning range on the laser's spectral gain is also elaborated.  相似文献

The frequencies of 26 laser lines with wavelengths between 57 and 534 m have been measured in the optically pumped laser gases CH3OD and N2H4. A pair of stabilized cw 12CO 2 lasers was used as a frequency standard for the heterodyne frequency measurements. Seven of the 26 lines are new.  相似文献

A compact fir ring laser with open resonator and variable output coupling   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We describe the design, construction and first experimental results with an open triangle FIR ring resonator with Michelson interferometer output coupling, which we combined with a Brewster-windowless 10W CO2 pump laser to a compact laser package of 1m length. The achieved stability of power and frequency of this system is very high, typically on the order of ±0.01% over several hours and <20kHz per hour at 800GHz. For the design, we investigated the balance of all laser processes and determined the optimum dimensions for the open resonator cavity. This analysis is based on a radially homogenous overall laser model, including commonly accepted simplified rate equations together with molecular parameters for weak FIR laser lines. In accordance with the modelling the efficiency on the very most prominent lines is better than with conventional waveguide lasers, giving up to 4 times better efficiencies especially on lines with low absorption pump transitions. Several laser lines, however, have substantially enhanced pump thresholds on purely copropagating emission, suppressing laser operation below about 10W pump power threshold. We show that this can not be due to effects from the interferometer.  相似文献

The results of designing multipurpose high-sensitive photo-acoustic (PA) detectors and their application to high-resolution diode laser spectroscopy of molecular gases, gas analysis, and aerosol absorption measurements are summarized in this paper. The hardware and software of the diode laser spectrometer with a Helmholtz resonant PA detector providing an absorption sensitivity limit of better than 10(-7)Wm(-1)Hz(-1/2) are described. A procedure is proposed for an experiment involving the measurements of the rotational structure of hot vibrational bands of molecules. The results of the application of the nonresonant PA cell with temporal resolution of signals to measurements of weak nonresonant absorption of gases and soot aerosols are presented, and the possibility of creating a broad-band PA laser diode aerosol-meter is discussed.  相似文献

Franck-Condon matrix elements are calculated approximately for vibrational transitions of a diatomic molecule from a bound electronic potential curve to a purely repulsive curve. The bound states are approached by exactly normalized Miller-Good wavefunctions uniform in both turning points. For the continuum wavefunction a single turning point uniform Airy approximation is taken. The resulting Franck-Condon matrix element is approximately done in closed form with the help of a new canonical integral for a product of harmonic oscillator wavefunctions and Airy functions. The degree of agreement with a closed form exact result is qualitatively discussed for transitions from the ground state of a Morse curve to the continuum of a particular repulse exponential curve.Dedicated to Professor Hermann Hartmann on the occasion of his 65th birthday.  相似文献

The finite-element thermal model of the oxide-isolated stripe geometry diode laser is presented in this work. The calculation procedure was carried out with a standard IBM PC/AT microcomputer. The ohmic contact heat generation and the thickness dox of the SiO2 layer, as two parameters of OIS lasers crucial from a thermal aspect, were taken into account. The system of isotherms obtained for this laser allowed a discussion of the heat spreading process within the laser structure and a comparison of the relative contributions of all heat sources.This work was carried out in program CFRN 117/90 of the Polish Ministry of Education Research project P/04/142/90-2.  相似文献
