The ratios of the widths ofK levels of heavy elements with atomic number 70 to 92 have been calculated with relativistic wave functions, retardation, screening and field theoretical corrections to relativistic energy. Weak axisymmetrical fountains resulting from the injection of a dense fluid upwards into a large container of homogeneous fluid of lower density has been studied numerically in this paper using a time-accurate finite volume scheme. The behaviour of fountains for both the uniform and parabolic profiles of the discharge velocity at the fountain source has been investigated. The evolution of transient fountain flow has been analysed and two distinct stages of evolution have been identified. The time trace of the position of the fountain front has been presented and the initial, temporary and final fountain height and fountain width have been determined. The plane wave expansion (PWE) method was used to get the three-dimensional band diagram and equifrequency surface (EFS). From the EFS the maximum flatness half width (MFHW) and its position were got. The relation between MFHW and filling fraction Pf, dielectric ratio εb/εa were given in order to get the optimal structure we employ in this paper. Studies of γγ interactions are performed with the KLOE detector, without tagging of the outgoing e^+e^-. The data sample is from an integrated luminosity of 240 pb^-1. It was collected at the φ-factory DAONE with e^+e^- beams colliding at √s ≌1 GeV, below the φ resonance peak. We present preliminary results concerning the observation of the γγ→η process and the evidence for γγ→π^0π^0 production at low π^0π^0 invariant masses.  相似文献

The results of a theoretical and experimental research project on the use of an innovative technique for strengthening concrete beams are presented. A spacer element is inserted between the tension side of a beam and the composite material to increase its lever arm and to enhance the over all stiffness of the strengthened beam. The main aim of this exploratory project was to increase the ultimate failure load of strengthened beam specimens, whilst guaranteeing acceptable over all deflections at the serviceability limit states. This resulted into a significant reduction in the amount of FPR required and in a better utilization of the materials employed. A preliminary theoretical study was carried out to investigate the effect of Young’s modulus, failure strain, and thickness of the element to be used as a spacer in order to determine the best possible candidate material. Three tests on 2.5-m-long beams were carried out, and different anchorage techniques were used to try and prevent the debonding of the strengthening system. The results from this pilot study are very promising, as the strengthening system ensures an adequate initial stiffness along with an improved ultimate flexural capacity. This research explores the influence of distributed non-interpenetrating inhomogeneities on the contact of inhomogeneous materials via a new efficient numerical model based on Eshelby’s Equivalent Inclusion Method. The half-space contact of a sphere with an inhomogeneous material is considered, and the solutions take into account interactions between all inhomogeneities. The efficiency and solution accuracy of the proposed method are demonstrated through comparative studies with those of an existing numerical method and the finite element method. The influence of spatial inhomogeneity orientations on the contact elastic field is investigated and parametric studies are conducted for the effect of arbitrarily distributed inhomogeneities on the stress field of the materials. The significance of the influences of inhomogeneity distribution parameters on the inverse volumetric stress integral is quantified and the corresponding data are fitted into selected several formulas as a step towards understanding the rolling contact fatigue life of the materials.  相似文献
