Preparation and characterization of Fully stoichiometric SrCoO3 by electrochemical oxidation

A nearly stoichiometric SrCoO₃ phase had been prepared up to now only using high oxygen pressure. A new method for preparing fully stoichiometric SrCoO₃ has been proposed using electrochemical oxidation. Brownmillerite-type SrCoO_2.50 is oxidized into a completely stoichiometric perovskite at a potential of 500 mV for 180 hours at room temperature in alkaline media (1 M KOH). The oxidized phase has a cubic unit cell (a=383.5 pm). It is metallic and, at temperatures below T=280 K, it shows ferromagnetic behavior. The magnetic moment at 0 K is 2.1 μ_B. The physical properties of SrCoO_3.00 have been explained in terms of partial occupancy of a σ*e band.

Electronic control of stereoselectivity. 20. Crystal and molecular structure of the ferrocene derived from tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]Deca-2,5,8-triene

Reaction of the isodicyclopentadienide anion and its dehydro congener with Fe(II) leads to a stereochemically homogeneous ferrocene derivative in each instance. Through chemical correlation and X-ray analysis, above-plane complexation is established for both halves within the two sandwich compounds.     

STUDY ON THE DUCTILE DEFORMATION DOMAIN OF THE SIMPLE SHEAR IN ROCKS——TAKING BRITTLE FAULTS OF THE COVERING STRATA IN THE SOUTHERN JIANGSU AREA AS AN EXAMPLE

A study on the ductile deformation domain of the brittle fault in the shallow level ofthe crust is a new probe field for the modern structural geology. Taking the southern Jiang-su Province area as an example the orientation measurement of quartz crystals, the com-positional texture observation of three pressure sensitive minerals and the rheological param-eter determination of dislocation densities, etc. have been demonstrated and analysed basedon typical samples in the present paper. In addition, their generation mechanisms arealso discussed from the cataclastic rheology, the dynamic differentiation and the simpleshearing, specially, from the Ode strength theory. Finally, a generative relationship betweenthe ductile deformation domain of the brittle fault system, in the regional layer--slip andthe formation of the stratabound ore deposit is shown as well.     

SSZ-53 and SSZ-59: two novel extra-large pore zeolites

The syntheses, structure solutions, and physicochemical and catalytic characterizations of the novel zeolites SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 are described. SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions with the [1-(4-fluorophenyl)cyclopentylmethyl]trimethyl ammonium cation and 1-[1-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclopentylmethyl]-1-methyl azocanium cation, respectively, as structure-directing agents. The framework topology of SSZ-53 was solved with the FOCUS method, and the structure of SSZ-59 was determined by model building. Rietveld refinement of synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction data confirms each proposed model. SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 each possess a one-dimensional channel system delimited by 14-membered rings. Results from transmission electron microscopy, electron diffraction, catalytic experiments (spaciousness index and constraint index tests), and argon and hydrocarbon adsorption experiments are consistent with the proposed structures.

Characterization of distribution of pi-electrons amongst benzenoid rings for Randić’s “algebraic” Kekulé structures

For benzenoid hydrocarbons the distribution of pi-electrons amongst rings is characterized in the context of Randis mode of assignment attending to the different Kekulé structures. In particular the mean and mean deviation from the mean are considered, and the benzenoids which achieve maximum deviation are identified.     

SAXS对NLO芪唑盐LB薄膜稳定性的研究

具有优良NLO性质的芪唑盐(记为S)已被用于制备LB薄膜,但其成膜性不好,稳定性差;S和花生酸镉(记为A)的混合系虽可改善成膜性,但在此混合膜系中,S相的稳定性仍然不佳。应用SAXS和微机模型拟合(MCMI)研究了上述两类LB薄膜的凝聚态结构,结果指出:在LB薄膜的二维类晶系结构中,S分子中呈哑铃形的芪唑基倾向于作倾斜状的密堆砌,S分子中的丙条脂肪链则倾向于采取全反式燕尾式构象,而且脂肪链只占S分子长的2/3,这就导致了S分子在二维类晶系结构中凝聚力的下降,以及造成LB薄膜层状超分子结构的破坏和崩塌。     

热致液晶乙基纤维素与尼龙－1010共混物的研究

在自制单螺杆小型挤出机上通过熔融共混的办法，制备了不同配比（５／９５—２５／７５）的ＥＣ／Ｎｙｌｏｎ—１０１０共混物．用ＷＡＸＤ、ＤＳＣ、毛细管流变仪、力学性能测试等方法对共混物进行了研究．发现共混后尼龙－１０１０的形态结构有明显改变，其强度、模量都有提高，在高剪切速率下，共混物粘度大大降低．配比为１５８５时，这些性能的改进尤为明显．     

Synthesis and characterization of hollandite-type material intended for the specific containment of radioactive cesium

The hollandite Ba₁Cs_0.28Fe_0.82Al_1.46Ti_5.72O₁₆, which has been proposed for the cesium-specific conditioning, can be synthesized either by an alcoxyde or a dry route. In both cases, a two-step protocol is applied, i.e., a calcination at 1000 °C followed by a sintering at 1200 °C. After sintering, both synthetic processes lead to a tetragonal form. According to the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns collected at the barium and the cesium K absorption edges, the different positions of these two elements have been evidenced with a more centered position in the oxygen cubic site of the tunnel for Ba than for Cs. On the contrary, after calcination, the two synthetic routes yield different products. The alcoxyde route gives rise to a mixture of the aforementioned Cs- and Ba-containing tetragonal I4/m hollandite, a Cs-only-containing monoclinic I2/m hollandite and an unidentified phase with a weak coherence length containing only Ba. The dry route yields a single tetragonal hollandite material containing Ba and Cs slightly different in composition from the targeted compound.
