Upper bounds on correlation decay for one-dimensional long-range spin-glass models

Some recent results on one-dimensional spin-glass models with polynomially decreasing interactions are described.     

Improvements in Depth Selective Electron Mössbauer Spectroscopy

The conditions for achievement of high resolving power of depth selective conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy method at a combined installation ‘electron spectrometer–nuclear gamma-resonance spectrometer’ have been obtained. There has been made a considerable step in development of the method at its realization at a magnetic sector electron spectrometer with double focusing, equipped with electron source (a sample under investigation) of large-area and position-sensitive detector. The paper presents a prospective symmetrical version of a magnetic sector electron spectrometer that allows realizing more completely possibilities of the method. It is noted that the proposed method is particularly valuable for investigations of nanosystems, nanostrutures that contain Mössbauer nuclei.     

Investigations of low- and high-spin states of <Superscript>132</Superscript>La

The fusion evaporation reaction ¹²²Sn(¹⁴N, 4n)¹³²La was used to populate the high-spin states of ¹³²La at the beam energy of 60 MeV. A new band consisting of mostly E2 transitions has been discovered. This band has the interesting links to the ground state 2^- and the isomeric state 6^-. A new transition of energy 351 keV connecting the low-spin states of the positive-parity band based on the πh _11/2 ⊗ νh _11/2 particle configuration, has been found. This has played a very important role in resolving the existing ambiguities and inconsistencies in the spin assignment of the band head. Use of a range scaling method to determine alanine/water stopping power ratios

A phantom composed of alanine dosimeter material has been constructed and depth–dose measurements made in a 10 MeV electron beam. The results have demonstrated the feasibility of using relative depth–dose measurements to determine stopping power ratios in materials of dosimetric interest. Experimental stopping power ratios for alanine dosimeter material and water agreed with the data of ICRU Report 37 within the uncertainty of the experiment (±1.2% at a 95% confidence level).     

水平均匀大气中多束光在接收面上的相关性及其对光强起伏的影响

在科尔莫戈罗夫理论的基础上，推广了光束在接收面上相关函数的物理含义。分析了多光束在接收面上的相关性。并在此基础上形成多光束光强起伏方差的解析表达式。分析结果表明，随着信道间距的增加，信道相关性下降。到达接收面的光强起伏方差降低；当信道完全重合，即相关系数变为1时，叠加后的光强起伏方差没有明显降低。与单光束时没有区别；在允许范围内增加光束数目可降低光强起伏。     

Quinone imine dye formation via photocycloaddition between isocyanates and chloranil

Photochemical [2+2]cycloaddition between electron-donating aryl isocyanates and chloranil was observed in acetonitrile or benzene, and the following elimination of carbon dioxide resulted in the formation of the corresponding quinone imine dyes. This new route for synthesis of quinone imine was investigated by product analyses, laser flash photolyses, and molecular orbital calculation.     

Initial oxidation kinetics of copper (1 1 0) film investigated by in situ UHV-TEM

Previous studies of the initial stage of oxidation on clean single crystal of Cu(1 0 0) have been extended to the case of the Cu(1 1 0) surface. The dynamic observation of the nucleation and growth of Cu oxide by means of in situ ultra high vacuum transmission electron microscopy (UHV-TEM) shows a highly enhanced oxidation rate on Cu(1 1 0) surface as compared to Cu(1 0 0). The kinetic data on the nucleation and growth of the three-dimensional oxide islands agree well with our heteroepitaxial model of surface diffusion of oxygen.     

Radial and angular correlation in heliumlike ions

In the framework of nonrelativistic variational formalism a new type of basis set is proposed, to estimate separately the effect of radial and angular correlations on the ground‐state energy for helium isoelectronic sequence H^? to Ar¹⁶⁺. Effect of radial correlation is incorporated by using multiexponential functions arising from product basis sets suitably formed out of Slater‐type one‐particle orbitals. The angular correlation can be switched on by incorporating an expansion in terms of basis involving interparticle coordinates. With a set of six‐term Slater‐type one‐particle basis and five‐term interparticle expansion, the ground‐state energy of helium is estimated as ?2.9037236 (a.u.) compared with the multiterm variational estimates ?2.9037244 (a.u.) due to Pekeris and Thakkar and Smith and Drake. Matrix elements of different operators in the ground state have been calculated and found to be in good agreement with available accurate results. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 借助电子动量谱学结合量子化学理论和其他方法可以给出轨道电子在整个空间的分布信息,由此给出电子运动的完备描述[1,2 ] .清华大学电子动量谱学实验室近几年已成功地对甲烷[3] 、异丁烷[4 ] 、环戊烷[5] 、二乙酰等[6 ] 分子的轨道电子动量分布进行了测量.我们利用第二代电子动量谱仪首次对CH2 F2 分子3a1和2b2 轨道的电子动量谱进行测量,并与理论计算结果作了比较.同时还计算了坐标空间和动量空间中电子在x - y平面的密度分布.电子动量谱学最基本的过程是(e ,2e)反应,即电子与靶粒子碰撞而发生的电离过程.而对于(e ,2e)反应,含有大量信…     

AGSM光束在自由空间中的传输

 用矩阵方法研究了有扭曲的各向异性高斯-尔模型（AGSM）光束通过自由空间的传输。给出了光束参数的解析传输公式和详细数值计算结果，说明AGSM光束的传输特性以及扭曲因子和空间相关长度的影响。
