In this paper, 4-dimethylamino 2,5-dihydroxy chalcone (DMADHC), which exhibits excited state intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) characteristics, was synthesized and characterized. A sensitive optochemical sensor for Fe3+ ion was developed using DMADHC as fluorescence receptor. The fluorescence of DMADHC was gradually quenched with the addition of Fe3+ ion, which attributed to the formation of 1:1 complex between DMADHC and Fe3+ ion. The sensor exhibited excellent selectivity for Fe3+ ion over a large number of cation ions such as alkali, alkaline earth and transitional metal ions with a linear range of 3.984×10−7-1.135×10−5 and a limit of detection of 8.223×10−8 mol/L. On this basis, the sensor was preliminary applied to the determination of the content of iron ions in multi-vitamin tablet with satisfied results and the recoveries were in the 95-100% interval, and precision (n=5) was better than 5%. 相似文献

A fiber optic sensing system for the detection of adulteration of coconut oil by paraffin oil is experimentally demonstrated. The sensing mechanism is based on the sensitive dependence of the resonance peaks of a long period grating (LPG) on the changes of the refractive index of the environmental medium surrounding the cladding surface of the grating. The wavelength shift of the attenuation bands of the LPG was measured with the sensor immersed in a mixture of paraffin oil and pure coconut oil in different proportions. Detection limit of adulteration was found to be 3% for coconut oil-paraffin oil binary mixture. 相似文献

A parallel-multipoint fiber-optic temperature sensor for monitoring ambient temperature with a measured temperature resolution of approximately 0.03 °C is presented. The sensor relies on the temperature-dependent Fresnel reflection from each interface between a sensing fiber tip and a thermo-optic medium. An arrayed waveguide grating is used to achieve wavelength-division multiplexed-multipoint sensing. A new, to the best of our knowledge, signal processing method based on quadrature demodulation technique is presented for laser diode self-mixing interferometry(LDSMI) displacement sensor. Phase modulation of the laser beam is obtained by an electro-optic modulator (EOM) in the external cavity. Detection of the target's displacement can be easily achieved by sampling the interference signal at those times which satisfied certain conditions. The major advantage of the technique is that it does not involve any complicated calculation and insensitive to the sampling error. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the displacement measurement resolution of the laser diode self-mixing displacement sensor to a few nanometers. 相似文献

A simple electrochemical process has been implemented to fabricated fractal structured leaf-like metallic zinc. The fabricated material was structurally characterized using X-ray diffraction that reveals the hexagonal unit cell structure. Also the growth of the structure is anisotropic. Field emission scanning electron microscopic images revealed clearly the leaf-like morphology of the fabricated material is fern like and ∼500 μm in length, ∼50-60 μm wide and the platelets thickness is ∼5 μm. The growth of this structure is diffusion controlled and locally accomplished with the oriented attachment. A design method along with its results, for a space optical system with high resolution and wide field of view, is described. Such optical systems can be used in the infrared as well as visible configurations. The proposed design is based on an on-axis Ritchey-Chrétien system with corrected lens element while the primary mirror is a segmented aperture. Here the on-axis concept allows wide-field enabling a variety of observations designed for the multi-object spectrometer instruments, optimized for low scattering and low emission of light. The use of segmented mirrors in the optical system allows adopting any method for its fabrication purposes.
