An investigation on the equation of state of the isospin asymmetric, hot, dense matter of nucleons and deltas is performed based on the relativistic mean field theory. The QHD-Ⅱ-type effective Lagrangian extending to the delta degree of freedom is adopted. Our re,sults show that the equation of state is softened due to the inclusion of the delta degree of freedom. The baryon resonance isomer may occur depending on the delta-meson coupling. The results show that the densities for appearing the baryon resonance isomer, the densities for starting softening the equation of state and the extent of the softening depend not only on the temperature, the coupling strengths but also the isospin asymmetry of the baryon matter. 相似文献

We study the perspectives of resonant and nonresonant charmed-meson production in ˉp + A reactions within the Multiple Scattering Monte Carlo (MSMC) approach. We calculate the production of the resonances Ψ(3770),Ψ(4040)
and Ψ(4160) on various nuclei, their propagation and decay to D,ˉD, D
*,ˉD*, D
s,ˉDs in the medium and vacuum, respectively. The modifications of the open charm vector mesons in the nuclear medium are found
to be rather moderate or even small such that dilepton spectroscopy will require an invariant mass resolution of a few MeV.
Furthermore, the elastic and inelastic interactions of the open charm mesons in the medium are taken into account, which can
be related to (u, d )-, s- or c-quark exchange with nucleons. It is found that by studying the D/ˉD ratio for low momenta in the laboratory ( ? 2 - 2.2 GeV/c) as a function of the target mass A stringent constraints on the c-quark exchange cross-section can be obtained. On the other hand, the ratios D
-
s/D
+
s as well as D/D
-
s and D/D
+
s at low momenta as a function of A will permit to fix independently the strength of the s-quark exchange reaction in D
-
s
N scattering.

We propose a new structure of GaN based Schottky barrier ultraviolet photodetector, in which a thin n-type A1GaN window layer is added on the conventional n^--GaN/n^+-GaN device structure. The performance of the Schottky barrier ultraviolet photodetector is found to be improved by the new structure. The simulation result shows that the new structure can reduce the negative effect of surface states on the performance of Schottky barrier GaN photodetectors, improving the quantum efficiency and decreasing the dark current. The investigations suggest that the new photodetector can exhibit a better responsivity by choosing a suitably high carrier concentration and thin thickness for the A1GaN window layer. 相似文献

We construct a new exact solution to the vacuum Einstein field equations. This solution possesses a naked physical singularity. The norm of the Riemann curvature tensor of the solution takes infinity at some points and the solution does not have any event horizon around the singularity. In the framework of the quark–gluon string model we calculate the inclusive spectra of secondaries produced in d+Au collisions at intermediate (CERN SPS) and at much higher (RHIC) energies. The results of numerical calculations at intermediate
energies are in reasonable agreement with the data. At RHIC energies numerically large inelastic screening corrections (percolation
effects) should be accounted for in the calculations. We extract these effects from the existing experimental data of RHIC
on minimum-bias and central d+Au collisions. The predictions for p+Au interactions at LHC energy are also given. 相似文献

I report the most recent measurements on open heavy flavor production at RHIC on behalf of the STAR collaboration. The total
charm production cross section in midrapidity at RHIC energy is found to approximately scale by number of binary collisions
in d + Au, Cu + Cu and Au + Au collisions. The nuclear modification factor of non-photonic electrons is strongly suppressed in
central Au + Au collisions, suggesting substantial heavy quark energy loss at RHIC. The bottom decay contribution to non-photonic
electrons was studied via the e–h and e–D
0 azimuthal angular correlations. The bottom contribution is found to be important at p
T
>5 GeV/c, and is consistent with the FONLL calculation within uncertainties. Charm production through gluon jet splitting was measured
by studying the D
*± contents in the fully reconstructed jets in p+p collisions. This rate is consistent with pQCD evaluation of gluon splitting into a pair of charm quarks and subsequent hadronization. 相似文献

The process of baryon number transfer due to string junction propagation in rapidity space is considered. It leads to a significant
effect in the net baryon production in pA collisions at mid-rapidities and an even more significant effect in the forward hemisphere for the cases of πA interactions. The results of numerical calculations in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model are in reasonable agreement

The present status of the thermal model is reviewed and the recently discovered sharp peak in the K
+/π+ ratio is discussed in this framework. It is shown that the rapid change is related to a transition from a baryon-dominated
hadronic gas to a meson-dominated one. Further experimental tests to clarify the nature of the transition are discussed. In
the thermal model the corresponding maxima in the Ξ/π and Ω/π ratios occur at slightly different beam energies. 相似文献

The ratio of K- to K+-meson yields has been measured in the systems 96Ru + 96Ru at 1.69 A GeV, 96Ru+96Zr at 1.69 A GeV, and 58Ni+58Ni at 1.93 A GeV incident beam kinetic energy. The yield ratio is observed to vary across the measured phase space. Relativistic
transport-model calculations indicate that the data are best understood if in-medium modifications of the kaons are taken
into account.
