NEPCⅡ新电子枪热结构分析与测试

北京正负电子对撞机重大改造工程(BEPCⅡ)要求其直线注入器提供更高的能量和流强, 为此必须设计大电流和小发射度的新电子枪, 以提高正电子的产额. 利用ANSYS对BEPCⅡ新电子枪的温度场分布及结构的热变形进行了模拟分析. 对于电子枪复杂的内部结构形态以及能量转换方式, 分析了传导传热方式对温度场的影响. 在此基础上进行了温度场与结构变形的耦合分析, 利用EGUN对电子枪形变前后束流光学特性进行模拟分析, 并对模拟结果与试验 测试结果进行了分析比较.     

Probing proton halo of the exotic nucleus28S by elastic electron scattering

Elastic electron scattering on the exotic light nucleus²⁸S is investigated in the plane wave Born approximation. The variation of the squared form factors of²⁸S with momentum transfer is compared with that of³²S. It is found that the behavior of the form factors near the second minimum (with a moderate momentum transfer) is sensitive to the alteration of the charge density distribution of halo protons in²⁸S. This indicates that elastic electron scattering can be a good probe of the structure of proton-halo nuclei.     

A field-sensitivity analysis of the relativistic motion of a single electron submitted to a perpendicular magnetic field

Sensitivity of the velocity of a single electron, in the relativistic case, to a perpendicular magnetic field is evaluated by defining a parameter which becomes useful in a number of cases related to dynamical systems. In particular, the ultrarelativistic case is examined.     

On the trajectory of a single electron under the action of a linearly polarized laser field

The dynamics of a single electron submitted to a linearly polarized laser field is examined in the non-relativistic case by calculating an upper bound of the position of the electron in the time domain.     

Effect of the incomplete accommodation of the heterogeneous recombination energy on heat fluxes to a quartz surface

Taking both the heterogeneous catalytic processes, including the surface formation of particles with excited internal degrees of freedom, and the processes of multicomponent diffusion and heat transfer in the MESOX apparatus fully into account makes it possible to obtain a recombination coefficient and an accommodation coefficient of the oxygen-atoms-on-quartz recombination energy which are in good agreement with the experimental data. The heterogeneous catalysis model constructed can be used effectively for predicting the heat fluxes to the surface of reentry vehicles on their entry into the Earth’s atmosphere.     

Molar extinction coefficients of solutions of some organic compounds

Molar extinction coefficients of aqueous solutions of some organic compounds, viz. formamide (CH₃NO),N-methylformamide (C₂H₅NO),NN-dimethylformamide (C₃H₇NO),NN-dimethylacetamide (C₄H₉NO), 1,4-dioxane (C₄H₈O₂₄), succinimide (C₄H₅NO₂) and solutions of acetamide (C₂H₅NO) and benzoic acid (C₇H₆O₂) in 1,4-dioxane (C₄H₈O₂) have been determined by narrow beam γ-ray transmission method at 81, 356, 511, 662, 1173 and 1332 keV. The experimental values of mass attenuation coefficients of these compounds have been used to calculate effective atomic numbers and electron densities. The additivity rule earlier used for aqueous solution has been extended to non-aqueous (1,4-dioxane) solutions.     

Physics in Melbourne

I survey highlights of the practice of physics and allied sciences in Melbourne,Australia, from the 1850s, soon after Europeans first settled in the area, to the present. I note recognizable sites of past and current physical-science activity that may be visited, as well as exhibits of historic items of physics apparatus. I trace the role of physics, in the course of a century and a half, in the evolution of a pioneering settlement into a large city embedded in a modern industrial economy.     

Metallo‐supramolecular micelles: Studies by analytical ultracentrifugation and electron microscopy

In aqueous solutions, amphiphilic block copolymers in which a polystyrene (PS) segment is connected to a poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) block via a bis(2,2′:6′,2″‐ terpyridine ruthenium) complex can form micelles. Such micelles of the protomer type PS₂₀‐[Ru]‐PEO₇₀, according to the preparation procedure representing frozen micelles, were studied by sedimentation velocity and sedimentation equilibrium analysis in an analytical ultracentrifuge and by transmission electron microscopy, with different techniques applied for the sample preparation. The particles obtained were surprisingly multifarious in size. In ultracentrifugation experiments performed at relatively low salt concentrations, the distributions of the sedimentation coefficient s_20,w showed a pronounced peak at 9.6 S and a broad, only partly separated second peak around 14 S. The molar mass of the particles at the peak was around 430,000 g/mol, corresponding to an aggregation number of approximately 85. The average hydrodynamic diameter of the particles in the peak fraction was approximately 13 nm. In electron micrographs of negatively stained samples, spheres of diameters between 10 and 25 nm were the most abundant particles, but larger ones with a wide size range were also visible. The latter particles apparently were composed of smaller ones. The data from both sedimentation analysis and electron microscopy showed that (1) the studied compound formed primary micelles of diameters around 20 nm and (2) the primary micelles had a tendency toward aggregation. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Excitation Cross Section for Resonance Transitions of Rhenium Atoms Excited by Slow Electrons

Excitation of rhenium atoms by electron impact is investigated by the method of extended crossing beams. At electron energies of 50 eV, the excitation cross sections of 36 resonance and competing transitions in ReI are measured. Within the energy range from the threshold value to 250 eV, six optical excitation functions are detected. The reliability of data on transition probabilities in ReI has been analyzed.
