Formation and movement of an exciton pulse in an inhomogeneous potential are studied. It is shown that the pulse does not blur and the maximum of the exciton density in the pulse remains constant during the exciton lifetime if the pulse is formed from the condensed phase. The path, traversed by the excitons, can be increased by imposing an additional laser pulse on the system. Thereby, such a system can be used for information transmission over the exciton condensed phase. 相似文献

Abstract The generation of ultra-wideband signals in the optical domain is highly desirable for ultra-wideband-over-fiber systems, which has recently become a topic of interest. In this article, a novel and simple approach to achieve all-optical generation of ultra-wideband signals is proposed, which is based on delaying and superimposing optical Gaussian pulses with opposite polarities. The proposed system is capable of generating both ultra-wideband monocycle and doublet pulses, and the polarity of the generated ultra-wideband monocycle pulses can be fast-switched to implement pulse polarity modulation with the required bit pattern. A model to describe the proposed system is developed, and the generation of ultra-wideband signals is demonstrated with simulations and a proof-of-concept experiment. 相似文献

Integrated optical pulse shaper opens up possibilities for realizing the ultra high-speed and ultra wide-band linear signal processing with compact size and low power consumption. We propose a silicon monolithic integrated optical pulse shaper using optical gradient force, which is based on the eight-path finite impulse response. A cantilever structure is fabricated in one arm of the Mach–Zehnder interferometer(MZI) to act as an amplitude modulator. The phase shift feature of waveguide is analyzed with the optical pump power, and five typical waveforms are demonstrated with the manipulation of optical force. Unlike other pulse shaper schemes based on thermo–optic effect or electro–optic effect, our scheme is based on a new degree of freedom manipulation, i.e., optical force, so no microelectrodes are required on the silicon chip,which can reduce the complexity of fabrication. Besides, the chip structure is suitable for commercial silicon on an insulator(SOI) wafer, which has a top silicon layer of about 220 nm in thickness. 相似文献

We present an optogalvanic aspect of a new modification of Hollow Cathode Discharge (HCD), i.e. conical bottom HCD. Earlier we found this modification enhancing the light emission properties of the conventional flat bottom HCD; a greater concentration of sputtered atoms was established by using a level crossing method. This effect provoked us to investigate the conical bottom HCD as an optogalvanic detector of signals, belonging to the sputtered atoms in the negative glow. The conical bottom HCD is found to be an effective optogalvanic detector due to the structure of the radial distribution of the optogalvanic signal. 相似文献

For the first time, a simple differential pulse voltammetry methodology for direct determination of benserazide in presence of levodopa in tablets was developed without any redox mediator, modified electrodes, or the aplication of mathematic deconvolution of signals. Benserazide was studied by differential pulse voltammetry using glassy carbon electrode in aqueous media. The drug exhibited a main well-defined oxidation signal in a broad pH range (2–10), and two poorly resolved signals at higher potentials. We have found that levodopa does not interfere on the electrochemical response of benserazide at pH 6.0. Thus, at this pH value, the developed analytical method exhibited adequate repeatability and reproducibility (RSD < 2%), recoveries >98.5%, which permitted its successful application to both the assay and the uniformity content of benserazide. Also, hydrolytic degradation studies of benserazide were carried out by differential pulse voltammetry. 相似文献

A decentered grating stretcher for chirped pulse amplification systems is analyzed with oblique meridional ray tracing. Several formulae and conclusions are developed to design and optimize the stretcher. On basis of an analytical phase expression with an explicit significance, the expressions of the second-, third- and approximate fourth-order phases at the central wavelength are presented with only independent variables. The spectrum change of a Gaussian pulse in the far field is studied with the Fresnel diffraction integral when it is incident on an aperture with Gaussian form transmittance. It is found that the side-lobes of the diffracted spectral intensity, which exist in a normal circular aperture with unit transmittance, can be eliminated completely under such a condition. In this paper, we investigate a generalized nonautonomous nonlinear equation which describes the ultrashort optical pulse propagating in a nonlinear inhomogeneous fiber. By virtue of the generalized Darboux transformation, the first- and second-order rogue-wave solutions for the generalized nonautonomous nonlinear equation are obtained, under some variable–coefficient constraints. Properties of the first- and second-order rogue waves are graphically presented and analyzed: When the coefficients are all chosen as the constants, we can observe the some functions, the shapes of wave crests and troughs for the first- and second-order rogue waves change. A poly(4‐bromoaniline) (PBA) film is electrochemically synthesized on a gold electrode for the recognition of amino acids enantiomers. Scanning electron microscopy measurements show that the porous PBA films are made up of nano‐ribbons. At the PBA modified Au electrode differential pulse voltammograms of L ‐ and D ‐glutamic acids not only have very different current densities, but also produce different waveforms, providing an intuitive way to differentiate the two chiral molecules. Similar results are obtained in analyzing L ‐ and D ‐aspartic acids. Control experiments suggest that the observed sensing behavior arises from synergistic interactions between Au and the PBA film, where polymerization at the meta‐position creates a steric structure needed for differentiating chiral molecules. 相似文献
