The use of electromagnetic field (EMF) generating apparatuses such as cell phones is increasing, and has caused an interest in the investigations of its effects on human health. We analyzed proteome in preparations from the whole testis in adult male Sprague‐Dawley rats that were exposed to 900 MHz EMF radiation for 1, 2, or 4 h/day for 30 consecutive days, simulating a range of possible human cell phone use. Subjects were sacrificed immediately after the end of the experiment and testes fractions were solubilized and separated via high‐resolution 2D electrophoresis, and gel patterns were scanned, digitized, and processed. Thirteen proteins, which were found only in sham or in exposure groups, were identified by MALDI‐TOF/TOF‐MS. Among them, heat shock proteins, superoxide dismutase, peroxiredoxin‐1, and other proteins related to misfolding of proteins and/or stress were identified. These results demonstrate significant effects of radio frequency modulated EMFs exposure on proteome, particularly in protein species in the rodent testis, and suggest that a 30‐day exposure to EMF radiation induces nonthermal stress in testicular tissue. The functional implication of the identified proteins was discussed. 相似文献

Laser drilling by temporally modulated pulse is a promising technique and has many advantages compared with normal pulse drilling. In this work, the effect of modulated pulse comprising pre-heating front and sharp trail was mainly studied. The function of the former was to pre-melt the radiated material, and the latter was to expel the liquid melt from the molten pool, thus to form a blind hole. While the trail subpulse was kept constant, the difference in the pre-heating subpulse parameter could cause a considerable influence on the hole quality and drilling efficiency. The depth and volume of the molten pool were proportional to the pre-heating energy, and inversely proportional to the pre-heating duration. With pre-heating subpulses of proper parameters, the sharp trail subpulse was very effective in expelling the melt liquid, leaving only a small quantity of melt to re-solidify as the recast layer, which was observably thinner compared with the holes drilled using the normal pulse mode. In the pre-melting process, the directional melt flow and heat conduction were found to be the reasons why the deep melting phenomenon had occurred. 相似文献

Polyaniline/α-Al2O3 (PANI/α-Al2O3) composites were synthesized by in situ polymerization through ammonium persulfate ((NH4)2S2O8, APS) oxidized aniline using HCl as dopant. XRD and FTIR were used to characterize the PANI/α-Al2O3 composites. The thermal stabilities and glass transition temperature (T
g) of PANI/α-Al2O3 composites were tested using thermogravimetric (TG) method and modulated differential scanning calorimetry (MDSC) technique.
The results of TG showed that the thermal stability of PANI/α-Al2O3 composite increased and then decreased with the increase in α-Al2O3 content. The derivative thermogravimetry (DTG) curves showed one step degradation of PANI when the α-Al2O3 content was lower than 52.5 mass%, and exhibited two steps degradation when the α-Al2O3 content was higher than 63.6 mass%. The MDSC curves showed that the T
g of PANI/α-Al2O3 composites increased and then decreased with the augment of α-Al2O3 for the interaction between PANI chains and the surface of α-Al2O3. 相似文献

Compositionally modulated multilayered alloy (CMMA) coatings of Zn-Fe were developed from acid chloride baths by single bath technique. The production and properties of CMMA Zn-Fe coatings were tailored as a function of switching cathode current densities (SCCD’s) and thickness of individual layers. Corrosion rates (CR) were measured by electrochemical methods. Corrosion resistances were found to vary with SCCD’s and the number of sub layers in the deposit. SCCD’s were optimized for production of Zn-Fe CMMA electroplates showing peak performance against corrosion. The formation of discrete Zn-Fe alloy layers having different compositions in the deposits were demonstrated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Improvements in the corrosion resistance of multilayered alloys are due to the inherent barrier properties of CMMA coatings as evidenced by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Corrosion resistance afforded by Zn-Fe CMMA coatings are explained in terms of the n-type semiconductor films at the interface, supported by Mott-Schottky’s plot. It was observed that the alloy with high w(Fe) on the top showed better corrosion resistance compared to that with the less w(Fe) on top. At optimum SCCD’s of 3.0—5.5 A•dm-2, a Zn-Fe CMMA coatings with 600 sub layers showed ca. 45 times better corrosion resistance than conventional Zn-Fe alloy of the same thickness. Based on an as-prepared high-quality WS2 film and an electro-optic modulator (EOM), a dual-loss-modulated low repetition rate mode-locking laser at 0.53 μm with high peak power is presented for the first time. The laser characteristics versus the pump power are investigated experimentally and theoretically. At a pump power of 10.67 W, the shortest pulse duration of 305 ps can be measured, corresponding to the highest peak power of 931 kW, which is much higher than those of the single passive modulated lasers with WS2-SA. A simple rate equation simulation was used to describe this dual-loss-modulated mode-locking green laser based on WS2 and EOM. The results of the numerical simulation are basically in accordance with the experimental values. 相似文献

Application of a line-shaped point spread function (PSF) to imaging of void defects in directly bonded wafers is considered. Two non-confocally adjusted spherical transducers are employed to implement an acoustic microscope operating in transmission with a time dependent point spread function, whose shape is optimized by both temporal apodization of the received signal and spatial apodization of the transducer aperture. Strong imaging artifacts resulting from the generation and detection of edge waves are eliminated in this way. It is shown by several examples that only a broadband system can be utilized in order to obtain a line-shaped PSF suitable for imaging. 相似文献

This work describes a new sampling method termed directly suspended droplet microextraction (DSDME) was developed. In this technique a free microdroplet of solvent is delivered to the surface of an immiscible aqueous sample while being agitated by a stirring bar placed on the bottom of the sample cell. After some time, the microdroplet of solvent is withdrawn by a syringe and analyzed. Under the proper stirring conditions, the suspended droplet can remain in a top-center position of the aqueous sample. The droplet can become partly engulfed within the sample while maintaining a stable shape with mechanical equilibrium and the mass transfer could be effectively intensified. Using 1,8-dioxyanthraquinone as a model compound and 1-octanol as the solvent, the extraction performance was investigated using HPLC. Since DSDME is based on a self-stable single microdroplet system, there are no requirements for special equipment or other supporting material like hollow fibers. Other advantages include ease of operation, free from cross contamination, quick to reach extraction equilibrium, and the ability to be combined with various analysis instruments. In our experiments, good linearity (r2 = 0.9992) and precision (R.S.D. < 1%, n = 5) were achieved. DSDME is a promising pre-treatment method for the fast analysis of trace components in complicated matrices. 相似文献

The phase separation induced by the curing reaction of an epoxy based on diglycidylether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) with methylene dianiline (MDA) modified with poly(ether sulfone) (PES) at a concentration of 20 wt% was studied by temperature modulated differential scanning calorimetry (TMDSC) and dielectric relaxation spectroscopy (DRS). The effect of phase separation on the curing kinetics and vitrification phenomena is analysed. The dependence of the log of the measuring frequency on the degree of conversion allows the correlation between the dipolar relaxation of each phase and the vitrification observed by TMDSC to be established. 相似文献

We prove the possibility of achieving exponentially growing wave propagation in space-time modulated media and give an asymptotic analysis of the quasifrequencies in terms of the amplitude of the time modulation at the degenerate points of the folded band structure.
