In remote sensing applications, there is a special interest in the lightweight, cost effective, and high resolution imaging
sensors. The combination of linearly frequency modulated continuous wave (LFMCW) technology and synthetic aperture radar (SAR)
technique can lead to such a sensor. This paper concentrates on the analysis of waveform errors in millimeter-wave (MMW) LFMCW
SAR. The generating scheme of millimeter-wave LFMCW waveforms with phase locked loop (PLL) and direct digital synthesizer
(DDS) combined frequency synthesizer is investigated. The impacts of quantization errors, spurs, and frequency nonlinearities
are analyzed. Simulation results show that the quality of LFMCW waveforms has a direct influence on the SAR images. Hence
a scheme of frequency synthesizer to achieve high performance MMW LFMCW waveform is proposed. This synthesizer driven by a
DDS array can adaptive suppress the spurious level without degradation of excellent frequency linearity and fast switching

A directly modulated CATV/radio-on-fiber (ROF) transport system based on external light injection technique, optical single sideband (SSB) filter, and RF amplifier predistorter is proposed and demonstrated. To the best of my knowledge, it is the first time to transmit CATV and ROF signals simultaneously in a directly modulated form. Good performances of carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR), composite second order (CSO) and composite triple beat (CTB) were obtained for CATV band; and low third order intermodulation distortion to carrier ratio (IMD3/C), and bit error rate (BER) values were achieved for ROF application. 相似文献

The twist‐bend modulated nematic liquid‐crystal phase exhibits formation of a nanometre‐scale helical pitch in a fluid and spontaneous breaking of mirror symmetry, leading to a quasi‐fluid state composed of chiral domains despite being composed of achiral materials. This phase was only observed for materials with two or more mesogenic units, the manner of attachment between which is always linear. Non‐linear oligomers with a H‐shaped hexamesogen are now found to exhibit both nematic and twist‐bend modulated nematic phases. This shatters the assumption that a linear sequence of mesogenic units is a prerequisite for this phase, and points to this state of matter being exhibited by a wider range of self‐assembling structures than was previously envisaged. These results support the double helix model of the TB phase as opposed to the simple heliconical model. This new class of materials could act as low‐molecular‐weight surrogates for cross‐linked liquid‐crystalline elastomers. 相似文献

gs) when analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) or modulated DSC (MDSC). In such cases, subjective and inconsistent

The effect of the annealing few degrees above the glass transition temperature (Tda = 62 °C) on the physical aging (Tpa = 51 °C) of amorphous quenched poly(l ‐lactide) is investigated by an implementation of variable temperature Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). By using a temperature program composed of a linear heating ramp superimposed to a temperature modulation (modulated temperature FTIR), the reversing and nonreversing intensity variation of selected bands, related to high‐energy gg and low‐energy gt conformers, is investigated. It is observed that the annealing above T g changes irreversibly the conformation distribution of the liquid polymer. The glasses obtained from annealed and nonannealed liquids behave differently, evolving in the physical aging toward their own liquid state and retaining the memory of their original condition before the vitrification. The recovery through T g of the relaxation occurred in the physical aging depends not only from aging conditions but also by the thermal history of the sample above the Tg. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
