This work proposes the use of digital image-based method for determination of total acidity in red wines by means of acid-base titration without using an external indicator or any pre-treatment of the sample. Digital images present the colour of the emergent radiation which is complementary to the radiation absorbed by anthocyanines present in wines. Anthocyanines change colour depending on the pH of the medium, and from the variation of colour in the images obtained during titration, the end point can be localized with accuracy and precision. RGB-based values were employed to build titration curves, and end points were localized by second derivative curves. The official method recommends potentiometric titration with a NaOH standard solution, and sample dilution until the pH reaches 8.2-8.4. In order to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method, titrations of ten red wines were carried out. Results were compared with the reference method, and no statistically significant difference was observed between the results by applying the paired t-test at the 95% confidence level. The proposed method yielded more precise results than the official method. This is due to the trivariate nature of the measurements (RGB), associated with digital images.  相似文献

The deformation of human red blood cells subjected to direct stretching by optical tweezers was analyzed. The maximum force exerted by optical tweezers on the cell via a polystyrene microbead 5 μm in diameter was 315 pN. Digital image correlation (DIC) method was introduced to calculate the force and the deformation of the cell for the first time. Force–extension relation curves of the biconcave cell were quantitatively assessed when erythrocytes were stored in Alsever's Solution for 2 days, 5 days, 7 days and 14 days respectively. Experiment results demonstrated that the deformability of red blood cells was impaired with the stored time.  相似文献

Analytical mathematics and digital simulation are used to predict the response, to a potential jump, of the junction between insulating and conducting regions of an electrode. The simulation is carried out differentially and employs other novel features. Concentrations in the vicinity of edges of positive and negative curvatures, as well as straight edges, are analyzed by the model and thereby the faradaic current densities and currents are predicted. It is shown that, in addition to the well-understood cottrellian current arising from the surface of the conducting electrode, currents are generated that are proportional to the length of the edge and to its curvature. These results are then applied to inlaid disks and to partially blocked electrodes. The possibility is explored of using the response to a potential step to gain information on the geometry of a partially blocked electrode.  相似文献

This work presents a combined experimental and numerical study on the fracture toughness behaviour of a ductile epoxy resin system. Quasi-static fracture tests using single edge notched bending (SENB) specimens were conducted under room temperature conditions. In addition, the digital image correlation technique was employed to experimentally map the full-field displacements and strains around the notch and crack tip, allowing direct calculation of the J-integral fracture toughness. The magnitude of fracture toughness was found to be 1.52 ± 0.03 kJ/m2, showing good consistency with the results measured according to the standard analytical formulations. A numerical model of the single edge notch bending specimen was built to compute the local strain field around the crack tip, together with the fracture toughness parameter. Good agreement was confirmed for both the experimental J-integral fracture toughness and the local surface strains around the crack-tip from the digital image correlation based optical technique, compared to the results obtained by numerical simulation. The fracture surfaces of the samples were examined using an optical microscope to analyze the failed surface morphology and the corresponding failure mechanisms.  相似文献

This paper deals with the complexity of the decomposition of a digital surface into digital plane segments (DPSs for short). We prove that the decision problem (does there exist a decomposition with less than λ DPSs?) is NP-complete, and thus that the optimization problem (finding the minimum number of DPSs) is NP-hard. The proof is based on a polynomial reduction of any instance of the well-known 3-SAT problem to an instance of the digital surface decomposition problem. A geometric model for the 3-SAT problem is proposed.  相似文献

Given a fixed origin o in the d-dimensional grid, we give a novel definition of digital rays dig(op) from o to each grid point p. Each digital ray dig(op) approximates the Euclidean line segment \(\overline {op}\) between o and p. The set of all digital rays satisfies a set of axioms analogous to the Euclidean axioms. We measure the approximation quality by the maximum Hausdorff distance between a digital ray and its Euclidean counterpart and establish an asymptotically tight Θ(log?n) bound in the n×n grid. The proof of the bound is based on discrepancy theory and a simple construction algorithm. Without a monotonicity property for digital rays the bound is improved to O(1). Digital rays enable us to define the family of digital star-shaped regions centered at o, which we use to design efficient algorithms for image processing problems.  相似文献

Red blood cell (RBC) parameters are of great importance for diagnostic purposes. Using the simulation method, the variations of both the thickness and the refractive index of a RBC were investigated in a dual-medium quantitative measurement (DMQ), which is realized via phase-shifting digital holography with two types of cell media. Results show that both the calculated thickness and the calculated refractive index agree well with the original ones with an average relative deviation of 2.13% and of 0.12% in valid regions, respectively. The simulation for RBC will provide some guidance for experimental parameter setting and data processing in DMQ.  相似文献

In this paper we present a systematic study of photonic bandgap engineering using aperiodic lattices (ALs). Up to now ALs have tended to be defined by specific formulae (e.g. Fibonacci, Cantor), and theories have neglected other useful ALs along with the vast majority of non-useful (random) ALs. Here, we present a practical and efficient Fourier space-based general theory to identify all those ALs having useful band properties, which are characterized by well-defined Fourier (i.e. lattice momentum) components. Direct control of field localization comes via control of the Parseval strength competition between the different Fourier components characterizing a lattice. Real-space optimization of ALs tends to be computationally demanding. However, via our Fourier space-based simulated annealing inverse optimization algorithm, we efficiently tailor the relative strength of the AL Fourier components for precise control of photonic band and localization properties.  相似文献

Digital holography is applied to make microdisplacement determination of a steel bar and an aluminum sheet. The displacement of aluminum sheet is made under immersion conditions in water and air. An experimental installation is presented for digital hologram registration with plane reference beam, using a CCD camera as detector. The “HOLODIG” computing system was developed for digital reconstruction of the image using the direct method, the intensity and phase image and interferograms were obtained. Taking into account the phase interferogram and making the unwrapping, the phase was determined for every point of the study surface. As examples of method application, the displacement of a square section steel bar, tested in air, and an aluminum sheet, tested in air and submerged in water, was determined. Experimental values of the displacement obtained agree with the applied ones. In the case of aluminum plate submerged in water, the magnitude of the measured displacement is proportional to water refraction index.  相似文献

This paper investigates the effect of subset size, associated with image pattern quality and subset displacement functions, on the accuracy of deformation measurements by digital image correlation(DIC). A concept of subset entropy is introduced in this work to quantify the subset image pattern quality for DIC analysis and its effectiveness was demonstrated by experimental studies. By employing white-light images with almost uniform subset entropy and first-order displacement functions, the effect of subset size on DIC analysis was investigated for the deformation cases of translation, uniform deformation, and simulated quadratic deformation, respectively. The results show that the chosen subset size must be large enough for precise displacement measurements when subset displacement functions match underlying actual deformation. On the other hand, optimal subset size in DIC for nonhomgeneous deformation measurements appears as a result of a tradeoff between the influence of random errors and systematic errors.  相似文献
