The fractional Fourier transform (FRT) of an elliptical dark-hollow beam (EDHB) is studied in detail. Based on the definition of FRT in the rectangular coordinate system, analytical formulae are derived for the FRT of an EDHB with the help of a tensor method. The properties of an EDHB in the FRT plane are illustrated numerically by use of the derived formulae. The results show that the properties of the EDHB in the FRT plane are closely related to the parameters of the beam and to the fractional order. The derived formula provides a convenient way for analyzing and calculating the FRT of an EDHB. 相似文献

Spectral characteristics of partially coherent flat-topped (PCFT) beams propagated in a turbulent atmosphere are investigated and an analytical formula for the spectrum S(ω) is derived. It is shown that, if the scaling law is valid, the normalized spectrum S(ω) of PCFT beams propagating through turbulent atmosphere is the same as the normalized source spectrum S(0)(ω), this similarity is valid for any arbitrary order of the circular flat-topped “N”. It is proved that if the scaling law is not valid, S(ω) of PCFT is different from S(0)(ω). Also spectral behavior of PCFT beams in free space and turbulence media is investigated in detail. 相似文献

On the basis of diffraction integral and the expansion of the hard-aperture function into a finite series of complex Gaussian functions, an approximate expression for spatially fully coherent polychromatic hollow Gaussian beams passing through aperture lens is obtained. Detailed numerical results indicate that remarkable spectral changes always occurs near the points where the field amplitude has zero value. In this paper, diffraction pattern of a vortex carrying beam with a Gaussian background has been studied by using Fresnel-Kirchhoff diffraction integral, in the presence of third-order coma. Results of intensity distribution and encircled energy at the Gaussian plane have been presented for two values of the topological charge. Positional shift and splitting of the dark core have been investigated in detail. It is noticed that the diffraction pattern of a beam with double topological charge is affected more by comatic aberration in comparison to the beam with single topological charge. We have also verified our results by using the optical transfer function approach. In this paper, propagation of a Gaussian laser beam through turbulent atmosphere is evaluated numerically. The beam quality factor for the propagated beam has been estimated for different turbulent conditions that are characterized by parameter Cn. The calculations show that the beam quality can be affected dramatically by atmospheric turbulence and the laser beam size and wavelength have major role in the results. Furthermore, the propagation of laser beam in longer distance results in more spatial perturbation of the beam. The results of these calculations and evaluation of beam quality factor M2 can be used for estimating the refractive index structure parameter (or atmosphere turbulent parameter) Cn. 相似文献

Spreading of spatially partially coherent polychromatic beams in atmospheric turbulence 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Taking the polychromatic Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beam as a typical example of spatially partially coherent polychromatic beams, the spreading of polychromatic GSM beams in atmospheric turbulence is studied. The mean-squared width of polychromatic GSM beams in turbulence is derived by using the effective source and the strong fluctuation models. It is shown that the same result is obtained using both the models. The diffraction, atmospheric turbulence and beam polychroism result in a spreading of polychromatic GSM beams. If the scaling law fails, the spreading of polychromatic GSM beams increases with increasing bandwidth Γ, but the influence of Γ on the spreading of polychromatic GSM beams becomes small as the structure constant Cn2 of the refractive index and spatial correlation parameter α increase. The spreading of polychromatic GSM beams increases as Cn2 increases and α decreases. Spatially partially coherent polychromatic beams are less sensitive to the effects of atmospheric turbulence than spatially fully coherent polychromatic beams. 相似文献

The evolution of gradient force pattern induced by an annular phase distribution plate is numerically investigated in this paper. The phase plate, which may alter the wavefront phase of incident Gaussian beam with tunable topological charge, consists of two concentric portions, one center circle portion and one annular portion. Numerical simulations show that the proposed plate can induce the tunable gradient force on the particles in the focal region. By adjusting the geometrical parameters or changing the topological charge of the phase-shifting plate, some novel trap patterns may occur, such as triangle shape trap, quadrangle shape trap, pentagon shape trap, hexagon shape trap, and the shapes of optical traps change very considerably. Therefore, the phase plate may be very advantageous for constructing tunable optical traps. The method is more versatile in that it allows precise control of the parameters and has the possibility of generating specific patterns of optical vortices. Starting from the Huygens–Fresnel diffraction integral, the analytical expression for the power spectrum of pulsed Bessel beams focused by a dispersive aperture lens is derived and used to study the spectral anomalies of pulsed Bessel beams in the focused field. Numerical calculation results are given to illustrate the dependence of spectral anomalous behavior on the pulse parameters, truncation parameter and material dispersion of the lens. It is shown that near the phase singularities the spectral anomalies may take place. Influence of the comatic aberration of an apertured lens on the focused polychromatic Gaussian beams
The focusing of polychromatic Gaussian beams by an apertured lens with comatic aberration is investigated in this paper. We study the influence of the comatic aberration and truncation parameter on the intensity distribution at the focal plane, and singularities and spectral behavior near the focal plane in detail. The simulation results show that the maximum intensity at the focal plane will shift and split with the gradual increment of comatic aberration. We also find that the decrease of truncation parameter will counteract the influence of comatic aberration, which leads to the intensity variation. Furthermore, the singularity transformation and spectral anomalies are discussed. It is found that with the increment of comatic aberration, some singularities are split into several new singularities, and by combining some of these new singularities with other singularities near the focal plane, they vanish or form new singularities with the continuing increase of comatic aberration. The decreasing value of truncation parameter will cause similar phenomena. 相似文献

Low-temperature step-graded high indium content InAlAs (In% = 0.75) metamorphic buffer layers with reverse step layer grown on GaAs substrate by molecular beam epitaxy are investigated in this paper. The composition and the strain relaxation of the top InAlAs layer are determined by high-resolution triple-axis X-ray diffraction measurements, which show that the top InAlAs layer is nearly fully relaxed and the growth parameters for these samples have little influence on the strain relaxation ratio. Surface morphology is observed by reflection high-energy electron diffraction pattern and atomic force microscopy. The surface morphology is found to depend strongly on both the growth temperature and the As flux. Compared with other samples, the sample growth under the optimized conditions has the smallest value of root mean square surface roughness. Furthermore, the ω − 2θ and ω scans of the triple-axis X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy result also show the sample grown under the optimized conditions has good crystalline quality. 相似文献
