As a primary parameter in the water quality model for shallow bays, the dispersion coefficient is traditionally determined with a trial-and-error method, which is time-consuming and requires much experience. In this paper, based on the measured data of chemical oxygen demand (COD), the dispersion coefficient is calculated using an inversion method. In the process, the regularization method is applied to treat the ill-posedness, and an operator identity perturbation method is used to obtain the solu- tion. Using the model with an inverted dispersion coefficient, the distributions of COD, inorganic nitrogen (IN), and inorganic phosphorus (IP) in Bohai Bay are predicted and compared with the measured data. The results indicate that the method is feasible and the inverted dispersion coefficient can be used to predict other pollutant distribution. This method may also be further extended to the inversion of other parameters in the water quality model.  相似文献

A finite element method for solving shallow water flow problems is presented. The standard Galerkin method is employed for spatial discretization. The numerical integration scheme for the time variation is the explicit two step scheme, which was originated by the authors and their co-workers. However, the original scheme has been improved to remove the erroneous artifical damping effect. Since the improved scheme employs a combination of lumped and unlumped coefficients, the scheme is referred to as a selective lumping scheme. Stability conditions and accuracy are investigated by considering several numerical examples. The method has been applied to the tidal flow in Osaka Bay and Yatsushiro Bay.  相似文献

A new sorbent for molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction (MISPE) was synthesized to extract and purify α-tocopherol (α-TP) from vegetable sources. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) were synthesized using methacrylic acid (MAA) as functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as crosslinking agent using a photo-polymerization procedure. A thermo-polymerization was also performed but no imprinting effect in the resulting materials was raised.The proposed MISPE protocol could overcome the drawback of traditional detection methods, which require pre-treatments of the samples. The possibility to obtain the selective recognition of α-TP from natural samples in aqueous mixtures represents one of the main advantages of our materials. Our procedure involves the direct HPLC injection of eluate without any treatment and above all the use of no toxic and biocompatible organic solvents.After the evaluation of the selectivity of the α-TP imprinted polymers, the performance of these materials as solid phase extraction (SPE) sorbents was investigated. Our MISPE-HPLC procedure has a high sensitivity, LOD and LOQ were 3.49 × 10−7 and 1.16 × 10−6 mol L−1, respectively, as well as good precision (intraday precision below 3.3% and interday precisions below 6.5%) and recovery (60%). Thus, it can be successfully used for the purification of α-TP from bay leaves.  相似文献

In this work, estimation of ambient noise spectrum influenced by wind speed and wave height carried out for the frequency range of 500 Hz to 5 kHz using Feed forward Neural Network (FNN) is presented. Ocean ambient noise measurements were made in the shallow waters of Bay of Bengal using a portable data acquisition system with a high sensitivity hydrophone at a depth of 5 m from the surface.100 sets of data covering a rage of wind speeds from 2.5 m/s to 8.5 m/s with approximately 15 sets of data falling within 1 m/s over the range of wind speed were used for training the FNN. The parameter wave height which contributes to the noise producing mechanism is also used for training along with wind speed. The results revealed that the proposed method is useful in the estimation and interpolation of underwater noise spectrum level and hence in simulation for the considered frequency range. These were confirmed by calculating the Mean Squared Error (MSE) between the experimental data and the simulation. As the measurements of the underwater ambient noise level are very difficult in remote oceanic regions, where conditions are often inhospitable, these studies seem to be relevant.  相似文献

In Terra Nova Bay region (northern Victoria Land, Antarctica), the interactions among soil, meltwater and lakes are poorly understood with regard to the physicochemical transformations that occur when solid materials are exchanged among them. In order to ascertain the natural dynamics of several elements, namely Al, As, Ca, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, P, Pb, Ti and Zn, as well as the perturbations by human activities and/or global contamination, soils and sediments from four catchments (Tarn Flat, Edmonson Point, Inexpressible Island and Northern Foothills) were studied.To accomplish the above mentioned objectives, the particle-size distribution and mineralogical composition, as well as the total C, H and N contents and the total concentrations of the investigated elements were determined. Finally in order to assess metal mobility, the modified BCR three-step sequential extraction procedure was applied to the samples and the partitioning of five metals, namely Cr, Fe, Mn, Pb and Zn, into different fractions was determined.Lithology and topography are the main factors that differentiate the physicochemical characteristics of the soils and sediments investigated. The lacustrine sediments and the soils sampled around the lakes showed a similar mineralogical and chemical composition, as evidence that rock- and soil-weathering processes occur primarily during the warm summer periods, when the lakes are partially ice-free. Nevertheless the presence of chlorite in these systems indicated that chemical weathering has taken place even in these extreme conditions. In general, the geochemical composition of soils and sediments in this Antarctic area seems to be influenced mainly by the nature of the bedrock and by the input of sea-spray, and, to a lesser degree, by mechanical and chemical weathering as well as by biological processes; no evidence of a local or global anthropogenic contamination was found.  相似文献

富营养化是河口港湾一个重要的生态环境问题。传统的富营养化监测与评价需要依靠费时费力的人工采样、实验室分析测定,周期较长,难以实现现场实时快速监测与评价。本文依据2009年2月、5月、8月和10~11月在厦门湾海域的有色溶解有机物(CDOM)与主要环境要素的调查资料,探讨了利用CDOM的光学性质反演COD,TN,TP等富营养化参数的可行性。结果表明:(1)厦门湾表层水体CDOM存在明显的空间和季节性变化,九龙江河口区的丰度最高;(2)陆源输入及浮游植物的现场生产是水体中CDOM的主要来源,因此可建立利用盐度和叶绿素a浓度估算厦门湾CDOM丰度的经验算法,该经验算法的相关系数达0.96,经验算法估算值与实测CDOM之间的相对误差为11.1%±0.71%,精度较高;(3)厦门湾各个季节COD,TN,TP与CDOM吸收系数、荧光组分之间有很好的相关性,总体表现春夏较高、秋季次之、冬季最差;(4)结合上述研究成果,利用厦门湾已建立的水质自动监测系统实时获取的盐度、叶绿素a以及经验公式推导出的CDOM荧光资料,有望克服COD,TN和TP等富营养化指标只能通过人工采样和实验室分析获取的缺点;实现对海域富营养化程度的快速监测与评价。  相似文献

This work reports on investigations into the wind dependence of ambient noise in the Bay of Bengal. Ambient noise measurements were made in the shallow water of Bay of Bengal using a portable broadband, high frequency data acquisition system together with a sensitive hydrophone suspended from the measuring platform at a depth of 5 m from the surface where the ocean depth was 25 m. Periodic measurements were carried out for one year corresponding to a wind speed range between 2 m/s and 9 m/s during summer, monsoon and winter seasons. The proportionality of the noise level with wind speed for frequencies ranging from 500 Hz to 6 kHz for each season was studied. The analysis reveals that the correlation between the wind speed and the ambient noise spectrum level was higher at lower frequencies. The results of empirical fitting based on analysis were used for noise level prediction and the model predictions compare well with the measured noise level. Further it was observed that the wind generated noise level measured during summer was approximately 8 dB less than that in other seasons. On the other hand the proportionality between the noise level and the wind speed was less during winter.  相似文献
