Raman Spectroscopy Studies of Reorientations in Isotropic Phase of Alkoxyazoxybenzenes

Abstract

Raman spectra for isotropic phase of PAA, PAP and HOAB were recorded. Three benzene rings vibrations were chosen for quantitative analysis and the choice is discussed for different PAA deuteration. The separation of vibrational and rotational relaxation was performed. Vibrational relaxation is a dominating process, but ca. 10% of total bandshape can be attributed to rotational relaxation. Rotational correlation times τ2 were calculated for all studied substances to be of the order 10^?11 s. τ2 is connected with the rotation around the long molecular axis and supports the correlation time τ₁ received from the dielectric relaxation measurements.     

ChemInform Abstract: A New Naturally‐Occurring Nanoporous Copper Sheet‐Silicate with 6482 Cages Related to Synthetic “CuSH” Phases.

The structure of a new naturally‐occurring nanoporous copper silicate of formula Na₂CaCu₂Si₈O₂₀ ·H₂O is reported and its relations to synthetic nanoporous, so‐called CuSH phases is discussed.     

Existence of nonnegative solutions for parabolic problem on Dirichlet forms

In this work, we investigate perturbed parabolic problem on measure spaces. For strongly local Dirichlet form, we obtain some results on existence and uniqueness of nonnegative solution. We also presented some examples as an applications.     

A novel non-uniformity evaluation metric of infrared imaging system

Non-uniformity (NU) evaluation metric of infrared thermal imaging system is important for evaluating the thermal imager and also can help to improve existing NU correction methods. However, in existing evaluation metrics, there are still some problems, such as not objective enough and not comprehensive enough. This paper brings forward a novel NU evaluation metric, in which we adopt the average derivative of the response of thermal imager with the temperature of test blackbody as a new parameter. A metric-temperature curve which shows the change trend of the NU with the temperature of test blackbody was achieved to enhance the performance of NU evaluation metric. Both the subjective images and objective data indicate that the new method raised in this work is much more objective and comprehensive. Our work is expected to become a general NU evaluation metric in the future.     

Thermal analysis study for the phase determination and instable to metastable transformation of the Co–13Cu alloy

The differential thermal analysis (DTA) is utilized to determine the phase boundary and phase equilibria of Co–Cu alloy having a miscibility gap. Regions for various phase i.e., spinodal and coherent binodal, peritectic, magnetic and the transformation from the two phases to α phase transformations are distinctly determined for the Co–13 at%Cu alloy. The obtained results might indicate the continuity of the decomposition kinetics at the boundary between instable and the metastable regions but an activation barrier is needed. The activation energy for the magnetic transformation is determined to be 182.2 ± 2.1 kJ mol^?1.
