Surface of Ru/Fe2O3 catalysts used in water-gas shift reaction studied by auger electron spectrometry

Summary Carbon deposits on the surface ofRu/Fe₂O₃ catalysts used in the water-gas shift reaction have been investigated by Auger Electron Spectrometry. A correlation has been found between the thickness of the carbon deposit and the catalytic activity in WGSR. The carbon deposit covers the metallic active centers and blocks their contact with reagents. The dotting of the iron oxide support with sodium has been found to reduce the amount of carbon deposit. .      

Congruence criteria for finite subsets of complex projective and complex hyperbolic spaces

We investigate congruence classes and direct congruence classes of m-tuples in the complex projective space ℂP ⁿ . For direct congruence one allows only isometries which are induced by linear (instead of semilinear) mappings. We establish a canonical bijection between the set of direct congruence classes of m-tuples of points in ℂP ⁿ and the set of equivalence classes of positive semidefinite Hermitean m×m-matrices of rank at most n+1 with 1's on the diagonal. As a corollary we get that the direct congruence class of an m-tuple is uniquely determined by the direct congruence classes of all of its triangles, provided that no pair of points of the m-tuple has distance π/2. Examples show that the situation changes drastically if one replaces direct congruence classes by congruence classes or if distances π/2 are allowed. Finally we do the same kind of investigation also for the complex hyperbolic space ℂH ⁿ . Most of the results are completely analogous, however, there are also some interesting differences. Double Michael additions of lithium enolaie of 1,4-dioxaspiro[4.5]dec-6-en-8-one to four acrylates afforded bicyclo[2.2.2]octan-2-ones with high regio- and stereoselectivities in moderate yields.     

n(Zn)：n(Ga)比值对合成ZnGa2O4结构及光致发光性能的影响

以ZnO和HGaO₂为原料,用不同配比合成出系列ZnGa₂O₄,并对其晶体结构和发光性能进行了研究。用荧光分光光度计检测了ZnGa₂O₄的激发和发射光谱,用X射线衍射仪检测了ZnGa₂O₄的衍射图谱,用热重差热仪绘制了TGA-DAT曲线。对检测结果分析认为:1.ZnGa₂O₄属于尖晶石结构,稍过量的Zn或Ga能进入ZnGa₂O₄结构中,并对ZnGa₂O₄的晶格常数产生一定影响。2.ZnGa₂O₄存在两个自激发光中心,当Ga稍过量时,自激发光中心是四面体镓氧键[T_d(Ga-O)],最大激发波长约248nm,最大发射波长约367nm;当Zn稍过量时,自激发光中心是八面体镓氧键[O_h(Ga-O)],最大激发波长约270nm,最大发射波长约441nm。当n(Zn):n(Ga)在理论值附近,激发和发射光强度最大,而且光谱峰位发生了红移。3.ZnGa₂O₄的热稳定性能非常好。上述结论对研究ZnGa₂O₄基质或掺杂的发光材料具有一定意义。     

980 nm激发下Er3+/Yb3+共掺杂ZrO2-Al2O3粉末的上转换发光特性

通过固相反应法制备了Er3+/Yb3+共掺杂ZrO2-Al2O3粉末的样品,并对样品在980nm激光激发下的上转换发光特性进行了研究.从发射光谱可以发现,在可见光范围内有3个强的发光带,一个位于654nm附近的红光带和两个分别位于545nm、525nm附近的绿光带,分别对应于Er3+离子的以下辐射跃迁:4F9/2→4I15/2、4S3/2→4I15/2、2H11/2→4I15/2.其中又以Er3+离子的4F9/2→4I15/2跃迁产生的红色荧光辐射最强.对其上转换发光机制进行了分析,发现这三个发光过程都是双光子过程.对样品粉末进行了XRD检测,发现ZrO2主要以立方相为主,并且计算得到了这种立方结构的晶格常数.Al2O3固溶于ZrO2中,Al3+嵌入ZrO2后产生氧空位,导致ZrO2晶体的对称性降低,这种结构变化更有利于提高上转换效率,即上转换发光强度增强.     

Conditional independence models for seemingly unrelated regressions with incomplete data

We consider normal ≡ Gaussian seemingly unrelated regressions (SUR) with incomplete data (ID). Imposing a natural minimal set of conditional independence constraints, we find a restricted SUR/ID model whose likelihood function and parameter space factor into the product of the likelihood functions and the parameter spaces of standard complete data multivariate analysis of variance models. Hence, the restricted model has a unimodal likelihood and permits explicit likelihood inference. In the development of our methodology, we review and extend existing results for complete data SUR models and the multivariate ID problem.     

Compatible relations on filters and stability of local topological properties under supremum and product

An abstract scheme using particular types of relations on filters leads to general unifying results on stability under supremum and product of local topological properties. We present applications for Fréchetness, strong Fréchetness, countable tightness and countable fan-tightness, some of which recover or refine classical results, some of which are new. The reader may find other applications as well.
