The compound negative binomial model,introduced in this paper,is a discrete time version.We discuss the Markov properties of the surplus process,and study the ruin probability and the joint distributions of actuarial random vectors in this model.By the strong Markov property and the mass function of a defective renewal sequence,we obtain the explicit expressions of the ruin probability,the finite-horizon ruin probability,the joint distributions of T,U(T-1),|U(T)| and 0≤inn相似文献

Double impact periodic orbits for an inverted pendulum

There exist many types of possible periodic orbits that impact at the walls for the inverted pendulum impacting between two rigid walls. Previous studies only focused on single impact periodic orbits and symmetric periodic orbits that bounce back and forth between the two walls. They respectively correspond to Types I and II orbits in the Chow, Shaw and Rand classification. In this paper we discuss two types of double impact periodic orbits that have not been studied before. The equations need to be solved for double impact orbits are transcendental and it is very hard to see the structure of the solutions. Consequently the analysis of double impact orbits is much more difficult than that of Types I and II orbits. A combination of analytical and numerical methods is employed to investigate the existence, stability and bifurcations of these orbits. Grazing bifurcations, which do not present for Types I and II orbits, are also observed.

THE CONTINUOUS MULTIPLE CENTRE d-pπBOND IN SOLID STATE (Ⅰ) Band Structure And Metallic Behavior in TaPtTe_5 Type Compounds

<正> In this paper, we propose a new type of bond, continuous multi-centered d-pn bond on the basis of the Extended Huckel Tight-Banding Calculation and SCC-EHMO calculation for TaPtTe5 and its iso-structural compounds with infinite continuous structrue. The results show that the d-pπbonds which are mainly responsible for the metallic properties are very strong and dispersive. The ΔE, the energy gap between half-filled band block and the unoccupied band block is closely related to the conductivity. The conductivity of TaPdTe5 and NbPtTe5 is predicted. The perturbations between Te atoms in intralayer and interlayer are discussed.

Stabilization of the Furuta Pendulum Based on a Lyapunov Function

We propose a Lyapunov-function-based control for the stabilization of the under-actuated Furuta pendulum. Firstly, by a suitable partial feedback linearization that allows to linearize only the actuated coordinate of the system, we proceed to find a candidate Lyapunov function. Based on this candidate function, we derive a stabilizing controller, in such away that the closed-loop system is locally and asymptotically stable around the unstable vertical equilibrium rest, with a computable domain of attraction.
