Helical tubulate inclusion compounds of ferrocene and squalene

The inclusion compounds of 2,8-dimethyltricyclo[5.3.1.1^3,9]dodecane-syn-2,syn-8-diol,3, with ferrocene and with squalene have been prepared. The crystal structures of these helical tubulate compounds: (3)₃·(ferrocene)_0.75 [P3₁21,a=b=13.7480(6),c=7.0312(5) Å,Z=1,R=0.038] and (3)₃·(squalene)_0.23 [P3₁21,a=b=13.677(1),c=7.0533(9) Å,Z=1,R=0.042] are described. Preparative isolation of (+)-beta-eudesmol fromAmyris balsamifera

Summary Optically pure (+)-beta-eudesmol is a possible starting material for the synthesis of several termite defense compounds. A two step procedure for the isolation of gram quantities of (+)-beta-eudesmol from commercially availableAmyris balsamifera oil (syn. West Indian sandalwood oil), containing 8% beta-eudesmol, was developed. Step one consisted of an efficient vacuum distillation of the total oil. Step two was a medium pressure LC separation with an AgNO₃ impregnated silica gel stationary phase. Several other separation procedures failed due to the presence of many closely related sesquiterpene alcohols (75% of the oil).     

Fluorescence immunological determination of immunoglobulin G in human serum by high-performance liquid gel-permeation chromatography

Summary A high-performance liquid gel-permeation chromatographic method is described for the determination of human serum immunoglobulin G (IgG) by separating the fluorescent immuno complex from the free fluorescence-labeled antibody. Fluorescence-labeled antibody used in this study was fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-labeled Fab fragment goat anti-human IgG (anti-IgG Fab). Immuno complexes and antibody of different molecular sizes can be separated. FITC-labeled anti-IgG Fab was added to the serum and the mixture is passed through the column. An immuno complex separates as well-delineated peak in the column void volume, and was measured by the fluorescence of the column eluate (Ex=490nm, Em=520nm). The total analysis time for a serum sample was approximately 15min. The minimum detection limit was 25 mg/dl. The relative standard deviation was below 2% (peak area). The results of the HPL-GPC analysis correlate well with those obtained by laser nephelometric assay (r=0.992).     

一个新颖的三维异核锑(III)-镨(III)配合物[Sb2-μ4-(EDTA)2Pr(H2O)5]NO3•4H2O的合成、晶体结构及热分解研究

合成了锑-镨与乙二胺四乙酸形成的新颖三维配合物[Sb₂-μ₄-(EDTA)₂Pr(H₂O)₅]NO₃•4H₂O, 用元素分析、红外光谱、热分析及X射线单晶衍射法等进行了组成和结构表征. 结果表明该配合物属正交晶系, 空间群Pnn2; 晶胞参数: a＝1.07031(2) nm, b＝2.30805(4) nm, c＝0.72343(2) nm, V＝1.78711(7) nm³, Z＝2, D_c＝2.202 g/cm³, F(000)＝1164, μ＝2.955 mm^－1, GOF＝1.000, 最终偏离因子R₁＝0.0203, wR₂＝0.0545 [I＞2σ(I)]. 在标题化合物中, 每个镨(III)离子的配位数为9, 与五个水分子中的五个氧原子和四个羧基氧原子配位, 形成三帽三角棱柱空间配位多面体. 锑(III)与EDTA离子中的四个氧原子和两个氮原子配位, 在赤道平面上有一孤对电子. 同时讨论了配合物的热分解过程.     

α-单取代环十二酮肟及缩氨基硫脲的合成及晶体结构

单晶X射线衍射分析表明, α-单取代环十二酮与氨衍生物羟胺和氨基硫脲发生缩合反应得到两种母体构象均为[3333], 而取代基为边外向或角反向的α-单取代环十二酮肟或缩氨基硫脲. 利用底物的“角位羰基参与反应”原理, “记忆效应”及进攻试剂与底物是否形成氢键解释了这一实验结果. 通常情况下, 试剂从空间障碍小的一面进攻羰基而生成α-角反取代环十二酮肟或缩氨基硫脲. 当试剂与底物的取代基之间能够形成分子间氢键时, 则生成α-边外取代环十二酮肟或缩氨基硫脲.     

2,3-二取代-4-(IH-l,2,4-三唑-l-基)-5-苯基氢基噻吩的合成及生物活性研究

合成了九个以噻吩为母体环的含三唑环的化合物——2，3-二取代-4-(1H-1， 2，4．三唑-1-基)-5-苯基氨基噻吩(2a-2i)，并测定了2a的晶体结构．晶体为三斜 晶系，P-1空间群，晶胞参数为：a=0．79816(15)nm，b=1．00259(13)nm，c=1． 4478(4)nm，a=100．326(16)°，β=94．69(2)°，r=106．083(9)°，V=1．0845 (4)nm～3，z=2，D_c=1．396 g／cm～3．初步生物活性表明所有目标化合物杀菌活 性较低，有一定的植物生长调节活性．     

Enthalpies of adsorption of methylene blue and crystal violet to montmorillonite

Calorimetric measurements of the enthalpy of adsorption on montmorillonite indicate different patterns for methylene blue (MB) and crystal violet (CV). The enthalpy of adsorption of MB is endothermic up to 73% of the cation exchange capacity (CEC) (i.e., about 0.6 mmol g^-1 clay), whereas at higher adsorption ratios the adsorption reaction becomes exothermic. The enthalpy of adsorption of CV is exothermic for all amounts adsorbed. These results were confirmed with adsorption experiments that prove that adsorption of MB increase with temperature, whereas CV adsorption decreases. This behavior indicates changes in the equilibrium coefficient according to Van't Hoff's equation. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.
