Polarization effects due to the mutual influence of trajectory parameters and polarization

In the geometric optics approximation, we comparatively analyze the polarization effects resulting from the influence of polarization on the beam trajectory. We show that the beam trajectory equations describing the optical Magnus effect that are obtained from the canonical Hamilton equations, Fermat principle, and truncated vector wave equations give the same result, coincident with the result in the mode approach. Influence of Radiation Polarization on the Nonlinear Response of a Semiconductor Laser with Pump Current Modulation

The influence of various lasing-radiation polarization states and types of optical dipole transitions on the nonlinear amplitude-detuning characteristics of quantum-well semiconductor lasers with pump current modulation has been theoretically investigated. It has been established that the narrowest spectral interval, where the response is nonzero, is realized in the case of TM-mode radiation and transitions to the heavy-hole states as well as in the case of TE-mode radiation and transitions to the light-hole states.     

自旋极化的同位旋非对称核物质性质

利用Skyrme有效相互作用,采用核子–核子相互作用参数SKM*和SⅢ对自旋极化的同位旋非对称核物质的特性和状态方程进行了研究,讨论了非对称核物质的磁化率随密度的变化关系及其同位旋依赖性.结果表明:在Skyrme Hartree Fock框架内,同位旋非对称核物质会发生从非极化态到极化态的相变,而且发生相变的临界密度随同位旋非对称度增大而降低.另外,还与微观BHF(Brueckner Hartree Fock)的理论预言进行了比较和讨论.     

一种新型同轴TEM-圆波导TE11模式变换器

 提出了一种新型同轴插板式模式变换器，可以实现同轴TEM到圆波导TE₁₁模式的变换。介绍了这种模式变换器的工作原理：即通过在同轴波导中沿轴向插入金属板，将同轴TEM模变换成扇形截面波导TE₁₁模，进而利用不同扇形截面波导中的相移改变电场分布的轴对称性，在同轴波导中形成同轴TE₁₁模，最后将同轴TE₁₁模转换为圆波导TE₁₁模式。基于这一原理设计了一个中心频率为3.8GHz的同轴TEM-圆波导TE₁₁模式变换器，并进行了数值模拟。模拟结果表明：这种模式变换器可以承受高功率，中心频率上转换效率为98.5%，转换效率大于90%的带宽超过10%，在3.5~4.1GHz的频率范围内反射损耗低于0.3dB。

本文介绍了一种用示波器研究铁电材料极化特性的实验方法，给出了定时讨论极化强度和电场强度的具体步骤，进而可测出矫顽力和剩余极化强度。     

Polarization of Lidar Returns from Water Clouds: Calculations and Laboratory Scaled Measurements

The main features of a Monte Carlo code developed to deal with polarization of lidar returns from water clouds in multiple scattering regime are described. The paper presents an example of results pertaining to a stratified cloud structure, and a series of comparisons of calculation results with measurements carried out in the laboratory. For double scattering a comparison of Monte Carlo results with those of an analytical formula is also given.Presented at the 7th International Workshop on Multiple Scattering Lidar/Light Experiments (MUSCLE7), July 21–23 1994, Chiba, Japan.     

Electron spin relaxation of radicals in weak magnetic fields
